Amazing!

PROS

The full control we have to customize the menu according to our specific needs.

CONS

There are multiple improvements needed as the solution takes on more clients but the biggest one would be to have a transactions showing up as actual transactions vs "custom amount" for better reporting of sales. Dash boarding capabilities to perform quick actions at the store level and company wide level.

PROS

The price is great. It works on iPads which makes it quite universal. It's super easy to setup and use.

CONS

I would like the ticket that it sends make TO GO and DINE IN stand out a lot more. We frequently miss it and have to re-plate items.

Pretty Good point of sale

It has been okay. The inventory updating bug really needs to be fixed or I will not renew another year.

PROS

The checkout process is very smooth and self explanatory. It has been pretty easy for the customer to navigate independently.

CONS

The inventory doesn’t always update so in stock items show out of stock when the app reflects inventory. this has caused my inventory to be thrown off because customers will pick a different item of the same price to check out with. This has been the most challenging part. The pictures files for items don’t upload for every item which has also been frustrating.

Amazing Easy Product

I have loved the support that we have received if we were in a pinch. Super fast customer service.

PROS

I love how easy it is to navigate and especially for all my customers.

CONS

I don’t think that it’s kiosks buddy but more square that when I update my inventory within square as something out of stock it doesn’t update on kiosk buddy.

The cash button, at checkout is somewhat small and easy to miss.

Great experience . I love this product and highly recommend

Ease to set up and support. Support gets right back to me

CONS

Sometimes the system goes down. Every time we add a new selection we must reimport menu and add all times again and category pics and rearrange the order

With reimporting, current KioskBuddy settings such as time controls and order of items should not be affected. If there are new additions when reimporting, this does require manual steps to apply new desired settings. The current design of KioskBuddy is to keep a "copy" of your Square Item Library, so reimporting is necessary if changes are made to your Square Item Library. Ice cream freezer kiosk

We love it! We would highly recommend KioskBuddy to other business owners.

PROS

I love that kioskbuddy allows us to sell prepackaged goods from a freezer without having to physically be there. This saves a lot of time and money!

CONS

Overall fantastic!

Extremely easy for customers to use. Good analytics.

CONS

Integration with Square isn't perfect. There need to be some revisions. Sometimes when I have an issue I don't know to reach out to Square to KioskBuddy and both sides end up blaming the other.

Reason for choosing KioskBuddy

There really wasn't a cost-effective alternative.

Near perfect solution for our self-service store

Kiosk Buddy has greatly streamlined our self-service store and allows us to operate an on-site farm store with no additional staffing needed.

PROS

We operate an "honor system" farm store and Kiosk Buddy allows us to accept credit cards, gift cards, and cash and ensure accurate collection and reporting of sales taxes. What's more, the v3 beta build offers a seamless, intuitive interface with Square so customers can easily handle self-checkout and payment with little to no assistance.

CONS

Three minor issues that we would like to resolve: 1) With the current V3 beta the app doesn't always automatically refresh when the catalog is reimported from Square. This problem forces us to restart the app every time a reimport is performed, which is needed frequently in our store. 2) We would like to change the "Place Order" button on the screen when the customer is paying with cash. "Finish" would be a better text for store checkout.3) When checking out, the "Continue" button on the payment type (cash/credit) screen is not intuitive for customers. They often don't realize they must select continue after pressing the payment method.

A great tool for our self-serve farm stand!

PROS

The integration with all our items and locations on our Square account. Like the improvements in the beta version for reporting.

CONS

Couldn't enter gift card numbers manually until the beta version. Now the split payment is not intuitive when trying to use a remaining balance on a gift card. The payment page is a little confusing for customers as they are "grayed out" except for the default.

In the event of an insufficient gift card balance and if you have Split Payments enabled, the customer should see a message that says "Gift card has insufficient funds. Please use the Split Payments option." This should help direct your customers to the appropriate payment setting. Overall I am very happy and plan to use it longterm.

PROS

It is very easy to use and super quick to set up. It is very customizable which was important for my brand.

CONS

It does not have an option to accept cash or gift cards which is a little challenging. Plus it is somewhat hard to update for new menus.

Allows us to be a self-service farm store

Customer service has been top notch! Both times we had questions, we got responses in a timely manner and our questions were answered! Extremely impressed with the customer experience!

PROS

We have been using kiosk buddy for about 4 months now. Before, we were able to accept cash, check and venmo. The ability to take credit/debit cards has been very helpful to our customers! The interface is easy to use and it seems to be self explanatory to our customers. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a way to offer products through retail but don't want to be staffed during open hours.

CONS

We have had a few issues with it getting stuck at check out. We also would like to have a place at the end to allow a venmo/cashapp scan to pay screen pop up. It would also be nice to have an option to put in a number without selecting a product.

The ability to integrate with Square is critical. It does that well. Sometime there are glitches but they seem to be resolved fast. We love the ease of the system for the customer.

CONS

Scrolling of categories on the left side of the view we use isn't always obvious to the customer. Minor but something that often causes our customers to need support.

KioskBuddy Review

We've been able to reduce our staff by one person, which has been a game changer.

PROS

The product was easy to set up for us. We're a mobile business with varying schedules throughout the year so it's great to be able to pause the subscription if need be. The interface is easy for customers to use, and it integrates well with Square.

CONS

I think the way the reports transfer to Square could be improved. If I remember correctly, the sales tax is wrapped into the total. We also didn't have a quick and easy way to see what category of food/bev had the most sales. For example, we wanted to see how many of our drinks sold at farmers markets, but we weren't able to look at a report that gave us that information quickly.

Simple and beautiful!

PROS

Kiosk buddy is probably my favorite addition to my business since we first began. This software allows us to take orders through iPad stations - freeing up our lines and letting us cut down on staff!

CONS

No cons I can think of! I have had the service got years and it is incredibly reliable!

Fastest, easiest, and most affordable kiosk system set up for my 1-woman mobile food business

Great platform—KioskBuddy is really the only way I can keep my business operational as a 1-woman mobile food stand. It makes order fulfilment and customer payment easy to manage while I get my products cooked to order.

PROS

How easy it is for my customers to use. It is also very easy to set up and maintain.

CONS

I'd like more control of the final look in my kiosk—the price fonts for example are hard to read and I'd like to be able to change that myself.

Reason for choosing KioskBuddy

Toast is insanely expensive. I was also turned off by how aggressively their prospecting/sales team approached me.

Less staffing needs

I'm probably about 90% happy with it. I've lost some money due to orders not coming through to kitchen printer.

PROS

Integration with Square works great. Nice features. Very intuitive UI.

CONS

Not able to highlight dine-in or take-out options for our customers which led to several issues with orders. Sporadic connectivity issues with printer. Sporadic glitches where orders did not go through without any alarms.

Ease of use and simplicity. Save an employee and use them instead.

CONS

The printer function along with square is a little weird.
