Jmix has a good architecture and a well-designed development process.Developers with less experience can get up to speed very quickly and learn from good documentation and examples.Technical matters are behind the scenes, so you don't have to worry about that. Jmix ensures the compatibility of the open source components used.

Easily setup, build, and debug a business app using the Java Spring JPA Liquibase REST Vaadin tech stack. The paid for tools like JPA object modeling GUI tools and the GUI tools for building XML based UI are decent. Online support is responsive within a few days. Upgrading to newer minor release was without issue. No crashes. You can see the source code.

I would prefer the tech stack use GraphQL over REST and have better support for NoSQL databases like MongoDB and tinkerpop graph databases using spring data. Documentation needs more in depth explanation and use cases of the dataManager, dataContext, tableFilter. I had troubles deciding when to use dataManager vs dataContext. Would prefer to use a more advanced table GUI component to Vaadin table like agGrid. The filter component needs more features and better layout.

Api definitiom could be invorporate open api and a easy editor and documentator, like swagger hub.

As a leader of the development team in an IT consulting company, I feel Jmix is an awesome framework, due to the following reasons: 1. It integrates the most popular Java frameworks and libraries. Developers are willing to learn and use it with happiness. 2. It provides Jmix Studio to help developers accelerate the pace of delivery, through code snippets, visual designers for data model/UI page/business process/roles, one-click local run, etc. Such that our developers are just focused on our business logic without writing a lot of boilerplate codes. 3. It provides a lot of ready-to-use add-ons with all needed parts from database to UI, like BPM/Charts/Email/Maps, etc. 4. They provided detailed documentation. 5. They have a developers' forum, where we can search for similar issues or ask new questions. 6. When delivering the products to customers, there is no license fee at all, this is a huge advantage compared with those low-code platforms.

I think one of the downsides is that Jmix uses Vaadin 8, which is hard to be customized, especially since we have customers in China, who like "beautiful" UI. Sometimes we spent a half-day adjusting the style of a Table or Datagrid. But glad to say, Jmix team has the plan to upgrade the Vaadin framework to the latest LTS version 23+, which should be much better I expect. By the way, we have projects that need highly customized frontend UI, and Jmix Rest SDK is not perfect enough, we need to implement basic functionalities like token refresh.

Jmix has allowed me to deliver quality web applications to clients at a reasonable cost quickly. I am totally blown-away at how intuitive the product is for my development team. The support is extremely responsive and the frequent improvements made continue to benefit the community of users.

Jmix offers all major components/modules that software developments will need for creating business applications. The team at Jmix is constantly improving the product and I enjoy benefiting from the productivity that it offers. The cost of Jmix is one of the things that attracted me to the product and the quality of the product is second to none.

The only thing I can think of that I like least is its support for mobile interfaces in the beginning. They are actually working on that now but for me it is worth the wait.

I like this platform very much. I will continue develop software using this and keep recommending to my developer friends and clients and business owners.

Whole package. The Abstraction it provides over many features, the customisation ability, the features it comes with out of the box. Jmix makes us to focus on implementing the business needs other time consuming and repetitive works are mostly taken care by JMIX.
