SAP PLM
Overall, I have used SAP at various companies I have worked for and it works well especially with other SAP applications.
PROSSAP PLM is a great tool for asset maintenance. It is customisable and lets you store whatever data you could possibly want about your assets. It allows you to have a history of your assets, what purchases have been made against them and keep BOMs.
CONSIt can be time consuming to set up at first until you get the hang of it.

SAP PLM tool
This tool provides the 360-degree-support for all SAP product-related processes - from the cycle of the product idea, through manufacturing to product service. Shorter lead times and lower manufacturing costs, provided by SAP implementations that are perfectly aligned to specific requirements, No need to alter the standard products in such a way that they can no longer be maintained. BOM made lot easy. Documents storage in one centralized location with links to master objects is good about PLM. Easily configurable process and workflow which give flexibilities to the business to be worries free.
PROSMaterials and BOM are available in SAP even before released and ready for production. This gives Purchasing/Supply Chain group to preview the upcoming material/BOM structure and initiate purchasing process for long lead time items. This leverages the logical Cross-functional integration points with other departments and good control on the activities(From Sales to Shipment) of the materials under various dispositions.
CONScustomization process requires to disposition materials in mass for many processes.

A complicated tool for everything!
I can manage next processes until the production of all my design items. It offers me a good tracking interface. Another beneficial point of this software is that it creates a living environment which any authorized person can make a requested change which provides an agile approach for projects
PROSThe unlimited features for product related work environment is the most powerful aspect of this software. I allows the user to follow and manage the whole process with its subpages.
CONSThe user experience is really challenging, the navigational bars are missing and if there's it is not enough detailed.
