Wonderful network switch port and IP address usage reporting product
I am extremely happy that I found this product because I was having a lot of trouble keeping up with IP address usage and network switch port usage. There wasn't a solution that I knew of that could easily gather all of this information in one place.
PROSI didn't know there was a product that could integrate with DHCP servers and switches in such a way that it could easily report usage and availability. It is great at these items. Their support is wonderful and quick.
CONSSometimes the software reports having issues connecting to network switches periodically. But it really isn't a con, because it connects at least once a day and new devices don't get added to my networks that often.

Great tool for network monitoring and administration
ManageEngine has been great to work with. The OpUtils has been a very good product for us and allows us to track our IP usage and helps us determine what devices are using which IP. We also had a great experience deploying the tool and it is easier to use than SolarWinds
PROSEasy to deploy and use on a day to day basis. Easy to manage and report on IP usage. Great support team
CONSDocumentation is not always up to date. Been having some difficulty with notifications and customizing them.
Reason for choosing ManageEngine OpUtils
Cost and to replace a tool that did not work well for us

OpUtils is a great tool for small IT department
I use OpUtils to manage my IPs within my network. Primarily this is useful when certain networks have only static entries and it is harder to know what IPs are still available. Additionally I have been able to use the Switch section to locate which port in the switch a device was plugged into.
PROSEase to use is one of the best features. Additionally the layout is fairly easy to understand.
CONSI have some trouble with the automatic scans not working and often have to manual update the available IP list.
Reason for choosing ManageEngine OpUtils
Cost and functionality were key factors in deciding to get OpUtils.

IPAM Survey
All i want is something to reflect IP address usage and operate in real time.
PROSIt was easy to install and configure. Not a bad interface
CONSCouple things.Get rid of the adds at the top bar. I bought a product, I don't want repeated notifications to buy others. Turns me off completely to looking at all the other offerings. The scan is too slow and does not update often enough to reflect changes in DNS.When scrolling down a range to find an IP, the view resets and puts me back at the top of the adress space no matter what I do it will not refresh every minute.Login window is confusing.SSO setup is misleading and documentation is inaccurate.

OpUtils is one of the best Network Monitoring and Management software
I have been using this product for almost 8 years. Easy to use and manage and it has intuitive features and dashboard.
PROSI like the network tools and interface monitoring feature of the software and it compares configuration changes and it saves running as we as start-up configuration changes that is next level and the configuration backup schedule is way to much.
CONSConfiguration backup for Nexus and HPE Aruba is not fully functional.
Reason for choosing ManageEngine OpUtils
Cheaper and very easy to setup and use. SolarWinds products are very expensive and they are really complicated as well as resources consuming products even they're good products. However OpUtils is very easy to use and setup using few clicks.

Very useful addition to our toolset
It has replaced our antiquated spreadsheet-based IPAM system we had previously used. Using the AD integration aids with compliance to our corporate standards, ensuring that all actions are tracked and attributed to the correct team members.
PROSThe ease of setup, and the at-a-glance overview of network IP utilisation. The web-based GUI is easy to use as well.
CONSIt would be handy if we could assign colours/icons to the folders we create - would help in identifying which networks belong to which sites/systems at a glance.
Reason for choosing ManageEngine OpUtils
Price was a major consideration, but so was the level of support available and the ease of us (PHPIPAM did not provide the feature set we needed).

ManageEngine OpUtils is absolutely worth the Cost involved
Really solving the speed at which my Admin's are able to respond to both events as well and just get their Daily Admin tasks done.
PROSProbably the thing I like most about OpUtils is that though the Utilities and features it has can be done through other means, the fact that they are baked into the Opmanager console makes it super convenient to use without searching all over for the functionality.
CONSThis is probably just a gripe about the overall Opmanager tool. The SAML authentication implementation needs some work. Which is strange to me because other Manageengine tools have SAML working perfectly.
Reasons for switching to ManageEngine OpUtils
Cost and functionality. The cost for the software is very reasonable for the type of network we have and compared to others like Solarwinds that I've used in the past is easy to setup and maintain. We bought other Manageengine products and the integration is fantastic between Opmanager and SDplus specifically. The ability to create and resolve tickets automatically between the two means less work for us when an issue pops up that is auto-resolved by the software.

Reason for choosing ManageEngine OpUtils
Easy to integrate with other ManageEngine products and for the price and security it out performs most of the competition.

Great Product
ManageEngine as a whole has always had and still has great support, that's why we also check with ManageEngine first.
PROSOpUtils Gives us the tools we need at a good price. The IP Address Manager is really helpful, we used to try to keep all our IP's documented in a excel file, so this was a huge leap forward for us in just that aspect alone. We have 50+ Cisco Nexus switches, so we use the Config File Manager to keep a backups of our network switches and we've even had to use the Rogue Detection feature a few times already.
CONSGUI and/or the dashboard looks outdated.

Great for my use case
Overall it has been a good experience, with a bit for focus on support this could be a great product. I will still continue to use this daily as it's the most robust solution in the price bracket.
PROSThe ability to turn on endpoints from an off state, the wake on lan functionality it provides me is very useful to me and my users.
CONSWhile mostly ok, the customer support needs some improvement. You pay for this in the annual fee and I have had one issue in particular that they cannot solve
Reason for choosing ManageEngine OpUtils
Free/alternatives didn't have the ability to wake machines up on a schedule. This feature was very important to me so I can turn machines on at the weekend for updates/patching.

OpUtils is A-OK!
The UI is pretty intuitive, and the way information is presented (and in some cases visualized) is quite nice!
CONSConfiguring some of our switches to talk to OpUtils properly involved jumping through some hoops, but I think that's more on the hardware manufacturer's side than ManageEngine.

OpUtils review
Very easy to control switch ports and all mac address connected in LAN.
PROSVery good IPAM with automatic discovery. Easy to use web interface and no problem to integrate in our environment.
CONSIn our release there is a limit in ipam to manage the same subnet in multiple istances and a time window limit in a netflow module collector data in line (no more than 6 months). Those limits will be solve in future releases.
