Game changer for my business

A software has definitely helped improve my overage cost for supplies and perishables as well as under selling myself

PROS

I absolutely love that the software I was able to streamline my business in so many ways. The stem counter is priceless and helps me save so much money when I order flowers. I love being able to see average cost of each stem it helps me price designs accurately maximizing my profit. The invoicing feature makes everything so convenient and easy for my clients to make payments. I can't wait to see all the future features they will be implementing over the next few months and looking forward to being able to sync my calendar with my booked events.

CONS

The cost has significantly increased since I started using the software when it was first released.

Needs Updating

It's works for now. I may reevaluate next year. Support is great but it's not easy to suggest changes and I don't see that any are being implemented. For how old the company is, I expected better. There are many ways that they could improve it and make it more user friendly.

PROS

The support is fast and friendly. The main reason for buying this software is the built in flower pricing. It was fairly easy to start using but I think learning this software was probably easier for me because I've used 3 different types of similar software in the past.

CONS

I'd like to be able to customize the templates more. I need more space for inspiration photos and would like to make it more on brand with my own font etc. I need to be able to drag and drop photos to make it faster. I need to be able to save PDFs so that I have planner's mood boards etc. at hand. I was expecting more inventory to be in there- there are many flowers that are very typically used that aren't there. The Accent Decor items are old and need to be updated, so they aren't very useful.

I was working for a large company that did a wide variety of rentals so they chose the best software for that. I started my own business and wanted something more florist based.

Big Learning Curve, but has Potential

Customer service is 5star. It's the only thing that has kept me using it. But it's been hard, I can't lie, switching to this system. I hope it gets easier, but I'm not there yet and we have been using it about 2 months.

PROS

Ease in recipe building and receipe retainment

CONS

How hard it has been to transition over to it from Honeybook, the loading of initial product and lack of catalogue from suppliers we use.

I LOVE Details!

I wish I could include more inspiration images than one per item. I wish I could move images to fit the home page better.

Details worked most intuitively for me immediately. I was able to jump on and start using it from day one and it has forever made my client experience better, proposal writing process smoother and easier to communicate, and takes less time to produce proposals than ever before. Attractive and Streamlines

Great, great, great. I chose details because it had the most attractive interface for clients with the best ease of use for me on the back-end. I am confident that in time the "cons" I have (which are really only related to uploading more images) will be something that is addressed and included within the software. I am very happy with the software and am excited to see how this helps business run more smoothly during the busy months.

PROS

I love how easy it is to build recipes and auto-populate an order. The final proposal that goes out to the client is attractive and looks very personalized which was a "must-have" for me being in a design field. I know they are developing more template options also, so this is exciting. The software feels intuitive and is very easy to understand and use. Each time I produce a proposal it gets easier and easier and I am confident this will save a lot of time. I love how easy building a recipe is; I used to build them at the end before ordering but building them out from the get go will help significantly in the busier months. I am new to the software but so far I am so so impressed and happy I chose Details. The customer service support I've received when figuring out the software has been friendly, attentive and knowledgable.

CONS

There is only space to upload 1 inspiration photo per item; I would love the functionality to add more than one as this is necessary often to communicate design concepts. Also more font and proposal template options but I know that is in the works. Really the only con for me is the limited inspiration images you can upload (I have found some "hacks" to do this....like loading into the "items" photo area where recipe item photos are, but the images are very small and this does not show as well). Currently I am sending an additional PDF to clients if need be, but again, it would be ideal if this was all rolled into the software (or at least I could upload the PDF into the software so all client files are truly in one place).

Details Flower Software to the Rescue!

Most Clients are not visual and not too terribly educated about the bounty of flower and greenery options available to them. Peonies and Roses aren't for everyone, so why not provide photos of the actual plants you want to use in the proposal? I wasn't doing this because it was so time consuming. Details solved that problem and upgraded the perception of my work through their professional proposal platform. I realized I was short-changing my work by incorrectly calculating the markup, not charging an Admin fee, or separate labor fee. This Ah Ha Moment was provided courtesy of the rep in the Details basic training class.

PROS

The integration of photos, inspiration, recipe, items gallery have made it much easier for my clients to understand what they are getting for their money without me having to make samples! I also like the customization capabilities, and I can't forget to mention the fabulous customer service and support team from Details!

CONS

Having to develop each gallery with my own recipes, items, photos and pricing, it's time consuming! It would be super helpful if your clients had the open to share recipes and post photos into the gallery. A one click "Share" button that would update the the mail details galleries would be terrific; saving everyone a lot of time and creating a more robust selling point for Details.

Reason for choosing Details Flowers

It seemed more geared towards independent floral designers whereas the other seemed more geared towards retail flower shop owner. Also the graphics and ability to customize, email proposals, create recipes for production purposes, print vendor orders, track payments, etc. It's a comprehensive solution. A bit more expensive that other products, but I'm hopeful it will pay for itself once I get the databases loaded and can use it proficiently and save time and increase my sales.

The formulas kept getting messed up and I was never sure if each job was profitable.

Details Review

I love working with the team they are so helpful and take pride in their product and they have amazing customer service!!

PROS

I love the way the end product looks. My brides love that it very visual

CONS

The whole program could be more user friendly. I feel the customer should be able to e-sign the contact AND pay their retainer on the contract page. I believe we could get that customer to book faster if that was an option. Its difficult selecting items and finding items, this part seems to take a very long time looking up items. I HATE that the program will automatically delete what you did if you change your screen without saving, you can't go back and forth easy, drives me crazy and waist so much time. The Event page, the layout. It would be great if it could notify you when a customers is overdue so we can contact them. Its great that we can set the payment reminder in financial but it let say the name appeared in RED if a payment wasn't made, we could take care of it faster.

Fast to make recipes, Lovely proposals

I have so enjoyed working with Details. The tutorials are really relevant and there's a good energy throughout the company.

PROS

My favorite this about this software is the support team. They are friendly and fast, always willing to help. The proposal templates are very adaptable and very pretty. I love the drag and drop on the recipes -- it's really easy to choose the types of flowers, etc and use them on multiple recipes, and it's very fast to see if you are at or near full bunches.

CONS

I wish there was a way to keep the counts and change the flower types out quickly, it's not too bad, but multiple steps. I also would like more reporting options, and a bit more customizing. But it's overall a great product.

You Must Have This Software

They've ALWAYS had fantastic customer service and tech support. They continue to grow and expand and make the software better.

PROS

This software has taken my business from a one woman show to now 12 employees in the matter of just a couple of years. It helps us stand out amongst the competition, minimizes human error, makes ordering a breeze, and helps us organize our team throughout the entire event pipeline.

CONS

I wish the photos for the individual products were bigger for the client. And have the option to add more than one photo per line item.

A must have!!!

Details is a huge time saver. It takes me a few hours to create in depth proposals but the process saves me hours on the back end, while it populated my shopping list, my recipes, my delivery and pick up list. I can’t remember what life was like before details! It’s a must have for all wedding florists.

PROS

The design templates are my favourite feature. I’ve been told over and over again our proposals are the most impressive our clients have seen.

CONS

There was a bit of a learning curve in the beginning but overall I have no complaints!

Game Changing Software!

Customer support is stellar and everyone is always so friendly and helpful. They have to be rolling their eyes when I call because I feel like I call all the time but they never make you feel like you have a dumb question or you're wasting their time. If they don't have an answer, which is rare, they will get you one within a day.

PROS

I love the overall beauty of the finished proposal and my brides love it too. I love not having to do math in my head anymore, on the fly, with a bride sitting next to me and the pressures on. I can work on the proposals on my time and the software tallies as I go. This keeps my profits up and I can set my prices higher if I'm not sure what I will be charged by my suppliers. It takes the guess work out of everything! There really is no need to meet in person anymore unless the brides choose to.

CONS

One update I don't like at all is having to save all the time. This never used to be. It gets old and takes time. If you don't save you lose your changes and you can't leave a page without a save. The software is prompting you to save, even after a save, just when you want to go to another page. This is something they really need to fix. Also no customer support on weekends. I'm busy working 7 days a week so to be down for 2 and a half days is annoying sometimes.

Professional and Beautiful Proposal Templates

Details Software has helped to elevate our business to the next level by giving us better pricing tools and beautiful proposals that our brides absolutely love. It allows us to really show our brides that we understand their vision and can bring it to life.

PROS

I love how this software helps me to keep my prices and margins where they should be, there is no more guessing or uncertainty. I have a much clearer picture of what my costs are going in so I can quote and budget with confidence. The proposal templates are so organized and beautiful. I feel like they really give me that wow factor when sending proposals to prospective brides.

CONS

I wish that the worksheet would auto save instead of me having to hit the save button. I have lost info a few times when I didn't save on one device and then opened the document on another device.

Streamlined my business!

PROS

Adopting Details has made my business run much more smoothly. From tracking events, creating proposal, generating contracts, developing recipes and knowing my inventory and stem count. It has saved me hours of work!

CONS

I would like to see the ability to adjust the margin on hard good vs flowers vs greens. Right now that does not seem to be possible and I'm adjusting the price on things to force the system to generate the price I want to charge the client. I also would like to be able to use any photo in my proposals without trying to figure out the resolution of each image. I end up with blurry photos that do not look professional and its frustrating.

Game Changer!

Overall, I've been very pleased with the software! After you get used to using it, you realize how flexible it is in the options, and it gets super easy to use.

PROS

Everything changed for the better when I started using Details. Getting an accurate, beautiful, professional proposal out the door faster, made my life easier. More importantly, it helped create client confidence. I love having everything at my fingertips in one place, and Details does a good job of making you feel like you're part of a 'community' with their additional resources. I can't imagine running my business without it.

CONS

The resources, design board, gallery isn't super intuitive to use, so it takes some time to get used to it. However, Details continues to make updates, and listens to feedback.

Reason for choosing Details Flowers

I looked briefly at a few different products, but Details had the best marketing materials (I was able to watch a video before committing to anything), customer service, and pricing incentives. Also, the free trial gave me an opportunity to try it out before buying. All of these things, gave me the confidence to jump in.

Love Details!

Wonderful! Definitely recommend Details!

PROS

Details has been super helpful in many different ways for my company. Not only am I able to present beautiful proposals to my clients but it allows my team members to help with proposals and learn the process of detailed designing. Clients really appreciate visual aspects so this program truly gives us that extra specialty service that our clients love and value.

CONS

I would love to see an option to where you can separate out the grooms portion on the proposal. We like to send them over a separate invoice for the items they handle which is traditionally the bride's bouquet, mother's/grandmother's nosegays and boutonnieres and it would be super helpful if we could do this within the existing proposal. :) I would also love to see easier search features. Sometimes the florals I am searching in the database will not pull up unless I place it in the search bar exactly how it reads. Happy to explain this if it sounds confusing.

Love Details!

I have seriously been thrilled with Details. In my own personal dream world they could add a CRM and drop the stupid stem counter but I am sure my needs differ a bit from others.

PROS

I love the way the proposals look, It is super straightforward to use, never a glitch or problem and excellent customer support by phone.

CONS

The stem counting feature just gets in my way. It is just not for me.

I switched from HoneyBook for the appearance of the proposals. I have been told so, so many times that the look of the 14 page proposal sold the job. Details is responsible for selling 100's of thousands of jobs for me!! On the flip side it is not possible to do a quick proposal for a 2000.00 job and that is more than half my business so that is a bummer but at under 2000.00 a year Details is a steal.

Wonderful!

Details has been a life changer when it come to proposals. It has helped increase how closing ratios and bookings. It so easy for the client to understand and they love the creative design it has to offer. Almost every bride mentions how excited they are after seeing their proposal because it helps them see their vision coming to life.

PROS

I love how each client's proposal is so personal and is so easy for them to understand. I love how detailed the proposals are for the client and how easy they are to understand.

CONS

The update is a little confusing at times. I wish that the current page would move the booked clients completely over, instead of having them all potential clients in a catch all area.

Love Details Flowers and Highly Recommend

I really love Details Flowers and the service I receive from them is always quick, friendly and informative and my questions always get thoroughly answered. They have a great team that really cares about their clients!

PROS

I love how beautiful the proposals are. My clients are always wowed and impressed when they receive them. I also love that I can create recipes and keep track of my stem usage to not go over budget on an event.

CONS

The price is quite high especially because it is in USD and the exchange rate for me is not the best.

Details Changed my Business!

Overall my experience with Details has been great. It is night and day from what I was using before to complete all of these tasks, and has made everything easier - from proposal design, to creating flower recipes, to pricing arrangements for increased profitability, to contracts, to payments. My business is more profitable, my clients pay and sign contracts much faster, and I feel much more organized.

PROS

Details has been hugely helpful in streamlining my sales/design/invoicing/and ordering process into one all-inclusive software. I went from using 3-4 different applications to service my clients, to using one software that does everything. The Event Dashboard makes it so easy to just open it up and check availability or track where clients are at in the process.

CONS

The interface does not feel particularly modern or smooth and options for customizing/formatting the proposal are slightly limited, which makes it slightly less fun to use. But all of the necessary functions are there, and I still get plenty of compliments on the proposals and how clean/organized they are. Overall a great design.

How could any floral designer live without this software?

PROS

Creating clients and events is incredibly easy. There is a space to note almost any pertinent information for each event, which makes for simpler logistical planning and better trend tracking. The background capabilities of the software make building recipes and proposals easier than the world's best spreadsheet ever could. Compiling event-specific photos, each line item's details, company terms and conditions, and financial breakdowns in one clean document makes proposals look great! Web-based signatures and payments are perfect for the tech-forward world!

CONS

It would be so helpful if inspiration photos could be organized into different categories, instead of "ALL" and "Event Inspiration." I think we would benefit if the automatic updates to event information would include sending/opening the document so that we know when a client has viewed the proposal.

Love this tool.

At first I was very intimidated by the program but once I was in it everything became faster and easier. That’s the name of the game. How fast can I whip out this proposal but stilll have an end product that sells my ideas for me.

PROS

I love that you are able to create a one of a kind proposal that perfectly fits any size wedding or any style event. So fast and so easy but looks like you spent hours doing it.

CONS

I don’t love saving so often. I would love to be able to pop between the worksheet and resource guide without having to stop and save.

The Software that Transformed my Business

We love how you transformed our brand, so we are here for the long haul. It’s been a little bumpy but nothing I would complain about. Thank you for making such a great quality product.

PROS

I love so many things about this software, but my absolute favorite is how it completely Elevated my company. I now have amazing proposals to share with my clients, that set expectations to a T. I’m no longer loosing money by quoting incorrectly or by wearing my heart on my sleeve and just giving it all away. I now actually make money!!

CONS

I would love for the program to automatically save the changes I make from page to page. I would also like a back end where I can easily manage all payments for multiple events instead of going into each one separately.

Time saver

I am able to see the exact of cost of everything I'm using to built my designs. Before using details, I had to do that all by hand and items would be forgotten, mark up not right, etc. I love knowing that what I'm proposing to my clients is exactly what I need to charge. I love having a professionally built proposal to give to my clients with every little detail of their event.

PROS

I have been using Details for 2 years and I love it. I am able to present professional proposals to my clients with so much details. From having the inspiration pictures the client has sent me to showing every single flower being used is so wonderful! My clients love it!

CONS

Would like to be able to add on multiple delivery sites to the delivery documents

Details increased my profit margin!

DetaIls has helped me become more confident in my pricing structure. Streamline and save time on my proposal process and overall book more weddings! It has enabled me to be more organized in ordering and managing my hard goods, as well as pieces to be designed and picked up from events.

PROS

I love having my inventory all in one place for easy access.

CONS

I don't like the templates- they're not very customizable and as a designer being able to customize fonts and layouts is super important to me and is really my only complaint about this software.

So excited to use this "all in one" Floral software!

All inquiries, leads, proposals and payment records are in one single platform. We were previously using Excel, Google Docs, other online accounting software and payment tools. We can easily predict floral costs, markups and profitability. This has been KEY for us in running our business better than we ever have before. We are relatively new users and absolutely loving it!

PROS

Very easy to use - and fun to "play" in! The proposal is already 90% formatted and only requires quick tweaks and image uploads to personalize for each client. Can work to generate quick proposals or very detailed ones with floral recipes, markups, etc. depending on what you need. The training and the availability of support personnel to answer questions or schedule one on one sessions is fantastic. It also seems like Details' staff continuously works to make improvements and updates to the software. Excited to see where things are headed and what other features will be added in the new year.

CONS

This is all internet based so must have a stable connection in order to perform work (sometimes seems to "Freeze" or get stuck for me, but may be my Internet). Intended for use on a laptop or desktop - not easy to navigate on mobile. Hoping that in the future, orders for same weekends/delivery dates can be automatically combined into a single quote request to the wholesaler.
