Timely is a cloud-based appointment scheduling software solution. It caters to individual professionals and small and midsize businesses, including beauty salons, hair salons, health clinics, massage therapists and personal trainers.

Users can run their appointment schedules from anywhere, generate reports and send notifications and reminders. Features include calendar management, which lets users book or rebook appointments, initiate group bookings and classes, manage recurring bookings and add multiple activities to a single booking.

Timely enables customers to book their tickets online through links embedded in websites or through Facebook. It offers sales and marketing support and reporting features.

This product also offers automated SMS and email reminders, and securely stores customer data including personal details, booking, emails, sales and other notes.

Timely offers integration with third-party applications such as Google Calendar, MailChimp, Xero, ZVend and MYOB.

It was great, very easy to use. With all differing time recording apps and services I have tried. This definitely is the best so far!

Cons

I don't know if it there is any, but I don't see a support number if I need any help. I don't have any problem at the moment, but when I do it would be helpful if I could call support.

very easy to add users and information. easy to add booking buttons to websites. user friendly for both users and buttons looking to scheduling online appointments.

Cons

cannot call support, cannot have different time zones for different calendars, no app for android, have to pay extra for text alerts for new appointments

Cons

A nearly flawless scheduling solution at an unbeatable price. Great value.

Pros

Timely is an amazing scheduling solution for a broad range of customer needs. An attractive interface and easy-to-navigate platform provide users a seamless experience. Capable reporting features are included, direct online scheduling can be embedded on a personal/business website, and integration with payment processors e.g. Stripe etc. is quite simple.

Cons

The platform has been slow once or twice, but nothing completely out of the norm.

You can't go wrong with Timely. It does exactly what you need it to do. The features are great, too. I like the reminders, as well as the fact that you can check the calendar on the go from your mobile device. This is appointment booking made easy. You don't have to be a tech-person to use it either. If you're just getting started, or you've been in business for year, Timely can streamline your reception costs and help you stay organized and efficient. If your business works on appointments, you need Timely.

I like how easy it is to navigate and the reminder text option has been really helpful in preventing no show.

Cons

There is still room for improving for the layout design. You can make it more interesting and less boring looking. Right now it just look like any other appointment scheduling software.

Has everything I need to take bookings and offer services. It is super easy to use. Like how I can take notes for each clients treatments and it's there to access when I need to read over notes.over all I'm happy with the booking system

Cons

Extra charges for staff I don't agree with. It could do with changing the layout on the booking system where others book in. The mini website could be a lot better as it's too basic and kinda embarrassing. The text messages could be cheaper or free/included in the monthly charge rather then a seperate charge. The mobile app could at least show when someone has sent a message as there's no notifications for it which isn't ideal.

Clients help themselves to appointment times so I spend no time sending messages back and forth trying to sort out scheduling.

Pros

Ease of set up and customer support. My clients can book themselves easily at a time that suits them.

Easier scheduling, e-mail reminders are great!

Pros

Easy and well organised, I like the we have the app and web interface as well. Makes my everyday life easier

Cons

There are a couple of things what I would like to customise more, like follow up messages being sent on a previously set date (2 weeks after the appointment, etc.)

i get a great way to manage my sales, schedules, and employee contribution.

Pros

I like how i can set up open to close times. It helps me set time parameters to see how much free time i have.

Cons

I have issues with the App. I use an iphone and its very friendly. But the app for timely is just so weird. When viewing your week it just looks offset and ugly. Also id like to chang the color of the Board. I like orange and id like to see my company as that color.

It's more in depth with client details also then other apps

Cons

It takes a long time to load some days and will time out.

Has stopped our no shows due to reminders, does way more than we use it for so always learning amazing new bonuses which benefit our business hugely. Very user friendly and excellent customer support with speedy and friendly responses. Love it.

Cons

New rebooking emails need more user specific time frames (ie. I require a 10 month reminder but only have 24 weeks or a year at present) but hopefully that will change soon.

Simple and easy to use. Does everything at the tap of a fingertip. Love the iPad version. Love that there are seperate services and products options.

Cons

There isn't much at all I don't like...one thing is the DOB option... people are hesitant to give their age away so only offer day and month... could possibly be something to look at offering the option of dmy or just dm... ?

This has a robust feature set and excellent usability on both client and professional side. Too many online booking systems are cloned copies of one another and lack basic (and obvious) features needed to actually operate a business from. This one stands alongside giants like MindBody and Milano and trumps them in many ways, especially for the cost. Smaller to medium businesses will find this the perfect fit.

Cons

Some of the ui features could use refining (mostly availability of functions like client notes while in mobile mode, where you currently must switch to desktop mode to access effectively), but they have consistently rolled out improvements over the year+ I've been with them.

Basic online booking functionality. It will work well for a single person operator looking for basic scheduling/tracking of appointments but if you've got a multi-staff setup, I'd avoid this software at all costs. It's unintuitive and full of half-baked features which should never have been released in their current state.

Pros

The support team is great and it looks good. The most basic functions work well. Beyond that, there are issues a plenty.

Cons

Far too many features are left unfinished resulting in something that doesn't work correctly. Every time something new is released I'm left somewhat shocked how basic functionality that could complete the feature is left out.

Even something basic like not being able to make recurring appointments that have more than 1 service.
Limited to a total of 160 characters for SMS (it's 2017!!)
Sales Reports report incorrect/misleading figures.
No customer accounts. No loyalty system.
Can't create custom value gift vouchers on the fly (they all need to be preset amounts).
If you have more than one staff member, each staff performing different treatments/services, Timely isn't smart enough to look at both staff calendars and find a time where each service will fit back-to-back. Instead, it just throws up a very unclear message that could result in the client going elsewhere.
When pencilled-in appointments are turned on, no confirmation email is sent to the client until AFTER they have replied Y to their reminder SMS. This will generally be 24-48 hours prior to the appointment start time. If the clients books in weeks in advance, there is no notification informing them that the booking was even successful.

I could go on about the amount of half baked features but 1500 characters just isn't enough. Timely say they care about customer feedback but they really don't, and shutting down their User Voice forum recently is clear evidence of this. BE WARNED!

Making appointments anywhere on other devices. Easy end of day cashing up

Pros

I like that I can make bookings on other devices out of the salon. Also to keep clients records and predict what I will make in advance.

Cons

Sometimes it can be a little slow, and simple tasks when changing/editing appointments can take longer than they should as the process needs to be done in a round abouts way.

Easy to use. Good value for money. No clunky or overly restrictive technology. Updated to keep up with marketing innovations and requirements.

Cons

Needs more versatility in customer notifications like more filters to select different email domain recipients. Because gmail email users can leave google reviews whereas if you don't have google account you can't so being able to target these customers to get reviews would be powerful. Also being able to add more than one add a button linking to a site of your choosing so you could have Facebook, Yell & Yelp for example

Easy to use ,not complicated, self explanatory, I am not a savvy computer person,but I find Timely so easy and straight forward to use that I got used to it in a ver short time without having "anxiety attack"LOL

As I am a very small 2 person business, I love the freedom from answering the phone; I'm rarely interrupted while cutting clients' hair as most bookings are done via the Timely App; resulting in more quality time with the client in the chair.

Cons

I am still a very new business starting from scratch; I like least the fact that 'anyone' can see whilst looking for an available time, a quiet day with appointments, but I am still just building my client base and that will change.
