Timely is a cloud-based appointment scheduling solution that caters to individual professionals and small and mid-size businesses, including beauty salons, hair salons, health clinics, massage therapists and personal trainers.

Users can run their appointment schedules remotely, generate reports and send notifications and reminders. Features include calendar management, which lets users book or rebook appointments, initiate group bookings and classes, manage recurring bookings and add multiple activities to a single booking.

Timely enables customers to book their tickets online through links embedded in websites or through Facebook. It offers sales and marketing support and reporting features.

This solution also offers automated SMS and email reminders and securely stores customer data including personal details, booking, emails, sales and other notes.

Timely offers integration with third-party applications such as Google Calendar, MailChimp, Xero, ZVend and MYOB.

Timely offers services on a monthly subscription basis that includes support via phone and email.

Able to automate the process of time tracking for billing. The tool is really simple and cheap. The AI tool is also a great feature.

Cons

I would like to see more integrations with other apps to solve workflow issues. I've run into issues with the mobile access - it can be buggy.

I loved the fact that this product was easy for me to set up and track EVERYTHING I needed to get freelance projects going. Not only could I track hours, but I could assign pieces of projects to different things.

Cons

Not a lot to say here that I would improve upon! The product was robust enough for me to use, but not too confusing... overall great product!

Pros

I've experimented with quite a few apps and scheduling software over the years and I've just stared using Timely and its great! The ease of use and options are great. The user interface is so easy to use and understand.

Cons

I schedule in different time zones and that can get tricky in the beginning. I'm hoping they make it a bit more flexible in the future, but overall this is a great product.

Cons

I don't know if it there is any, but I don't see a support number if I need any help. I don't have any problem at the moment, but when I do it would be helpful if I could call support.

Pros

Timely is an amazing scheduling solution for a broad range of customer needs. An attractive interface and easy-to-navigate platform provide users a seamless experience. Capable reporting features are included, direct online scheduling can be embedded on a personal/business website, and integration with payment processors e.g. Stripe etc. is quite simple.

Cons

The platform has been slow once or twice, but nothing completely out of the norm.

You can't go wrong with Timely. It does exactly what you need it to do. The features are great, too. I like the reminders, as well as the fact that you can check the calendar on the go from your mobile device. This is appointment booking made easy. You don't have to be a tech-person to use it either. If you're just getting started, or you've been in business for year, Timely can streamline your reception costs and help you stay organized and efficient. If your business works on appointments, you need Timely.

Easy to use, that's important especially for clients that need to just add their events without having to spend time learning how. Also it looks nice! The admin interface is great too, it's intuitive and set up so it's easy to find everything and edit or add. And you can sell tickets if you want although I haven't tested that fully in a live environment (hasn't been needed on any of the sites I worked on).

Cons

The software itself is great, but it is quite expensive to get the full feature list including simple things like Mailchimp newsletters and Keyword search (I believe those items at least should be in the free version too, or at least Pro). Also don't like that there are limits to Number of Users.

The absolute best part of this software, that sooooo many companies are missing, is the ability to set up your appointments for double-booking/power-booking/piggy-back appointments. Whatever you want to label the method of scheduling, it is a method that almost every single successful hair stylist uses so we can take an appointment during the time that hair color is processing. These guys also make it very relaxing if you plan to have more service providers in the future. You will not need to calculate a higher rate when the big day comes. That one is also a rare and beautiful gem in the world of salon software! The online booking widget and mini-website are customizable, look sharp and they optimized for mobile websites. It even works with WIX!They also have email campaigns, reminders via email and SMS/ text messages. You can decide at what time intervals your messages go out. This is super handy if you tend to goof up when rescheduling a client. The default is set for 10 minutes and I think it's perfect. If you accidentally put someone down 15 minutes later than intended and move it when you realize 3-4 minutes later, your customer will only get one notification. The correct one. Very cool!

Cons

There isn't anything that I "dislike" about the software. There are a couple of things that should be implemented that are a bit mind-boggling as to why they are not already. Such as tips... That is probably the most annoying thing I have found. You have to create a product named "Tip" and add it every time that your customer tips you, which is every single sale. It's not a huge problem when you are checking the customer out. The headache comes later when you are doing your accounting and you have to do separate calculations, rather than just sending it straight over to your accountant. The last booger is that the texts/SMS are not included in the plan price. You must purchase them separately. However, this could be a "pro" for those that don't want to use the SMS feature. Surely the price would be higher if they were included.

I love how EASY it is to customize this program and how easy is it for clients/customers to use the system. The automated reminders are a HUGE help for everyone!

Cons

I don¿t have anything bad to say about Timely. It¿s wonderful! Th only thing I wish was, is a way to tally up income without using Quickbooks and/or any other system.

I do not need online payment option so it doesn¿t allow a easy way to figure out income without getting a secondary system involved like Quickbooks.

Automation of so much - basically couldn't run my business without this

I can trust it to work without a glitch. I feel like it's a second brain. I also find the cutsomer service really helpful. Whoever they are they are great humans!

Cons

It doesn't quite offer me as much flexibility as i need but I think that's because I'm not really in the industry it was created for. I am pushing it to be something it probably wasn't intended to be. But its doing pretty well considering.

The support people ROCK!! Whenever I have emailed for support, the reply is speedy and I have always gotten a resolution. Affordable, user friendly, customizable, and overall a great choice.

Cons

That with software updates the iPad view & functionality changes to what I see on my mobile device. I much prefer the robustness of the laptop/desktop functionality. I use my iPad as both my checkin, management & point of sale so choose not to do the upgrades as I like the iPad view to be the same as the laptop/desktop view. Sure hope that makes sense!

It has been a game changer for our business in terms of managing my client servicing calendar. We're also the only accountant in our region with online booking capability - so it's also helped us to differentiate ourselves from our competitors.

Pros

My clients love that they can book online the type of service they need from our Professional Services practice and that they get a text message reminder. I love how it has streamlined our business and helped us manage appointments - with automated buffer time for just in case a meeting runs over time.

Cons

Having too many options for online appointments is confusing for clients. I'd love it if we were able to have different booking 'landing pages' for different service groups.

Daily salon life is just easier with TIMELY.

TIMELY does everything the larger brands do but at a tenth of the price.

Daily, monthly and yearly salon management is a breeze with TIMELY.

Clients love the ease of online booking. No need to download buggy apps.

Clients are loving the reminder sms.

I was a long term MINDBODY user and can't believe I stayed so long using an over priced buggy system because I just didn't know TIMELY existed.

Best business decision I've made in the last 5 years is making the change to TIMELY.

Pros

After the most recent price hike from MINDBODY I had no choice but to search an alternative. It appeared as if no-one on the market had it all until I found TIMELY. I was going on holiday and had 10 days to have the change over taken care of. The TIMELY team did a flawless transition. Smooth, simple, effective changeover. The follow-up support has been spectacular.

I was happy with MINDBODY to a degree but now I'm using TIMELY I understand just what I was missing out on. The timely team do everything to make the implementation of their product as hassle free as possible. You always get to email the same support person who is completely familiar with your situation.

I have integrated the software into my website and my clients are loving it. The feedback at this stage is 100% in favour of TIMELY.

I don't have a computer in the salon and am able to do everything from my Android phone without having to download some buggy app.

Client management and reporting is a breeze and has so many ways of breaking down your business's progress. The integration of MailChimp, POS and taxation programs make it a spectacular platform for promotions, financial management and my accountant loves how easy it makes my monthly closeout.

Interested to see what TIMELY build into the system in the future!

Only available in English.

Not all pages are phone screen optimised.

No telephone contact available with tech support.... Sometime emails just suck!
