Timely is a cloud-based appointment scheduling solution that caters to individual professionals and small and mid-size businesses, including beauty salons, hair salons, health clinics, massage therapists and personal trainers.

Users can run their appointment schedules remotely, generate reports and send notifications and reminders. Features include calendar management, which lets users book or rebook appointments, initiate group bookings and classes, manage recurring bookings and add multiple activities to a single booking.

Timely enables customers to book their tickets online through links embedded in websites or through Facebook. It offers sales and marketing support and reporting features.

This solution also offers automated SMS and email reminders and securely stores customer data including personal details, booking, emails, sales and other notes.

Timely offers integration with third-party applications such as Google Calendar, MailChimp, Xero, ZVend and MYOB.

Timely offers services on a monthly subscription basis that includes support via phone and email.

Easy to Use time tracking

Able to automate the process of time tracking for billing. The tool is really simple and cheap. The AI tool is also a great feature.

Cons

I would like to see more integrations with other apps to solve workflow issues. I've run into issues with the mobile access - it can be buggy.

I loved the fact that this product was easy for me to set up and track EVERYTHING I needed to get freelance projects going. Not only could I track hours, but I could assign pieces of projects to different things.

Cons

Not a lot to say here that I would improve upon! The product was robust enough for me to use, but not too confusing... overall great product!

Pros

I've experimented with quite a few apps and scheduling software over the years and I've just stared using Timely and its great! The ease of use and options are great. The user interface is so easy to use and understand.

Cons

I schedule in different time zones and that can get tricky in the beginning. I'm hoping they make it a bit more flexible in the future, but overall this is a great product.

It was great, very easy to use. With all differing time recording apps and services I have tried. This definitely is the best so far!

Cons

I don't know if it there is any, but I don't see a support number if I need any help. I don't have any problem at the moment, but when I do it would be helpful if I could call support.

very easy to add users and information. easy to add booking buttons to websites. user friendly for both users and buttons looking to scheduling online appointments.

Cons

cannot call support, cannot have different time zones for different calendars, no app for android, have to pay extra for text alerts for new appointments

Pros

Timely is an amazing scheduling solution for a broad range of customer needs. An attractive interface and easy-to-navigate platform provide users a seamless experience. Capable reporting features are included, direct online scheduling can be embedded on a personal/business website, and integration with payment processors e.g. Stripe etc. is quite simple.

Cons

The platform has been slow once or twice, but nothing completely out of the norm.

You can't go wrong with Timely. It does exactly what you need it to do. The features are great, too. I like the reminders, as well as the fact that you can check the calendar on the go from your mobile device. This is appointment booking made easy. You don't have to be a tech-person to use it either. If you're just getting started, or you've been in business for year, Timely can streamline your reception costs and help you stay organized and efficient. If your business works on appointments, you need Timely.

Integrating the online booking system on my website was extremely easy. Was also able to theme it to match the colour scheme of the site which is great!

Cons

Was a little bit tricky figuring out how to select which services should be available for booking using the online services. Eventually figured it out, but it was a bit unintuitive initially.

I use this mostly to track my time when editing and touching up photos. Especially when I get a large job or wedding to shoot I can track mine and my assistants time and efforts towards each activity.

Cons

This would be better suited for someone who bills by the hour so you can invoice correctly. As it is I used this just for my own knowledge of how many hours I was putting into each aspect of my photography.

Perfect for keeping everyone on deadline and keeping tabs on the amount of work that's being done and how much an employee would be owed.

Pros

Visually it's a very pleasant app to look at, which definitely helps make it more fun to use and easy for newcomers to understand. The UI is also very friendly. I've used it both in a personal matter and business matter and the app is perfect for managing all types of projects and not only helping you stick to a deadline, but also make sure you're getting paid (or paying) your employees for the right amount of time.

Cons

It can be on the expensive side if you have a small company. Also, the 14-day trial period may not be long enough for some to measure whether or not paying for the monthly fee is worth it.

Unclutter your work space with stickups and pieces of paper that you somehow never find. This cloud based software is really great at keeping appoinments time in an orderly fashion. It is designed for beauty parlors or busy professionals alike.

Cons

If you have different time zone, like they have in Russia, better be alert when you make your appointments.

It tracks time well, and allows you set up clients and projects that allow for easy tracking. Being cloud-based, it does a pretty good job of keeping track regardless of device or connectivity.

Cons

If it was going to be a full invoicing solution, Timely might be a good deal. But if you just need to track time, it's a lot of money and overhead to solve a simple problem.

The design and the UI are gorgeous, the app is super easy to use. We tried it for a few weeks but just didn't need all the extra functionality for the paid plans. Recommend though.

Cons

Didn't have many complaints when going through free trial with the team. The software was a little over our budget given where we were at the time.

It is really cost effective and easy to use. I was able to manage the schedule with greater precision. Reminders for meetings and appointments, deadline and commencing new work , all of this was easy to manage with timely.

Cons

Some of our clients resides overseas, so it often gets complex with timely to properly schedule them all. Moreover, I don't have any access to customer support. Which however is mostly not needed but they should work on updating features and things.

The best thing about timely is that you could plan in advance. If a client needs to reschedule you can easily move their appointment to another day and fill that void with a different block. Extremely easy.

Cons

For the free version, only one user is allowed and only 5 projects. This does limit it's use. Another issue is that it is too easy to change time blocks, it should be less touchy.

Easy to use, that's important especially for clients that need to just add their events without having to spend time learning how. Also it looks nice! The admin interface is great too, it's intuitive and set up so it's easy to find everything and edit or add. And you can sell tickets if you want although I haven't tested that fully in a live environment (hasn't been needed on any of the sites I worked on).

Cons

The software itself is great, but it is quite expensive to get the full feature list including simple things like Mailchimp newsletters and Keyword search (I believe those items at least should be in the free version too, or at least Pro). Also don't like that there are limits to Number of Users.
