Timely is a cloud-based appointment scheduling software solution. It caters to individual professionals and small and midsize businesses, including beauty salons, hair salons, health clinics, massage therapists and personal trainers.

Users can run their appointment schedules from anywhere, generate reports and send notifications and reminders. Features include calendar management, which lets users book or rebook appointments, initiate group bookings and classes, manage recurring bookings and add multiple activities to a single booking.

Timely enables customers to book their tickets online through links embedded in websites or through Facebook. It offers sales and marketing support and reporting features.

This product also offers automated SMS and email reminders, and securely stores customer data including personal details, booking, emails, sales and other notes.

Timely offers integration with third-party applications such as Google Calendar, MailChimp, Xero, ZVend and MYOB.

It was great, very easy to use. With all differing time recording apps and services I have tried. This definitely is the best so far!

Cons

I don't know if it there is any, but I don't see a support number if I need any help. I don't have any problem at the moment, but when I do it would be helpful if I could call support.

very easy to add users and information. easy to add booking buttons to websites. user friendly for both users and buttons looking to scheduling online appointments.

Cons

cannot call support, cannot have different time zones for different calendars, no app for android, have to pay extra for text alerts for new appointments

Cons

A nearly flawless scheduling solution at an unbeatable price. Great value.

Pros

Timely is an amazing scheduling solution for a broad range of customer needs. An attractive interface and easy-to-navigate platform provide users a seamless experience. Capable reporting features are included, direct online scheduling can be embedded on a personal/business website, and integration with payment processors e.g. Stripe etc. is quite simple.

Cons

The platform has been slow once or twice, but nothing completely out of the norm.

You can't go wrong with Timely. It does exactly what you need it to do. The features are great, too. I like the reminders, as well as the fact that you can check the calendar on the go from your mobile device. This is appointment booking made easy. You don't have to be a tech-person to use it either. If you're just getting started, or you've been in business for year, Timely can streamline your reception costs and help you stay organized and efficient. If your business works on appointments, you need Timely.

Easy to book and easy to book online. Quick search for customers name. easy to learn new employees.

Cons

when we do bulk sms our clients do know who we are because there's not enough characters to say from who the sms is. the sms character options is not enough.
We also don't understand why the monthy fee needs to be increase just for 1 extra person on the system, now we only using one name for all the bookings. Would like to personalize the program so that clients know that all notifications are from us.

Cons

The only thing that Timely doesn't have that I would like is a cancellation list and they have told me that it is on their to-do list.

User friendly and nice communication with clients

Pros

The app is easy to use and customer service is friendly and helpful. Love the layout and flow from one area to the next. Great reports and many options for clients notifications, etc.

Cons

Costs more if you need to add a second user. I haven't figured out how to double book clients but there may be a way... just need to ask customer service and I haven't yet.

I am a complementary and alternative health practitioner and Timely has really helped to streamline and simplify my booking system.

Pros

My clients find it easy to use and actually like receiving appointment reminders via text and email. I find it very quick easy to add appointments on the go via laptop, iPad or iPhone

Cons

I would like to be able to see my weekly diary for different locations all on one screen. It would be great to have an offline version so that I didn't need to be hooked into Wifi to schedule in clients on the go.

My go to calendar. Could not live with out it

Pros

Its easy to add appointments from any device. The recurring feature is wonderful to recur appointments. I love that this ties with vend to take payments

Cons

That you have to open up the customer to see the notes. Would love to click on their name and view the notes on a client

An instant snapshot of my business. Ability to plan for the future. An up to date database. Ability to make changes and respond to my clients needs.

Pros

I love that I can see my appointment schedule anywhere in the world, how easy it is to communicate with my clients, make changes quickly. I also love all the reports timely generates.

Cons

I wish when booking it would remember my clients last services. Ask me if I want to rebook the same service. Most of my clients have repeat services.

Access 24/7 from wherever we are. Payments from our clients at all hours of the day as they book their appointments online.

Pros

The simplicity, it's easy to use and understand. No staff trainer required to use it, self explanatory. Easy to review calendar. Easy access from computer, devices or phones anywhere.

Cons

It doesn't do a cash daily reconciliation or detailed breakdown of what is coming in each day. A few more email options to personalise follow ups with clients and rebooking reminder emails. It would be better if there were more fields we could fill in for each client and personalise them according to what we need to know about them.

Easy to use, logical and MAJOR money saver!

Pros

The team are fast to respond to enquiries no matter the time you email. The software is logical and easy to get the hang of (even when ive been usng another for 4 years!) loving it!

Cons

Don't love that they don't have a phne number for support - the emails are great and work well 95% of the time but sometimes it's easier (specially as I am a sole trader and often only have a small window to get something done) to just quickly talk to someone - taking time to send the email, waiting for the response and then interpreting / taking the email step by step is frustrating at times BUT the only con so far and I am a month in!

Easy appointment and customer management.

Pros

I like how easy it is to manage customers and appointments. I'm often booking very quickly while on the phone with a client so i appreciate that getting them on the calendar is not complicated.

Cons

I really wish there was an API so that I could do a custom integration with my own site/app. Please! I'm an app developer who could bring you more customers if an API was available.

Also, it would be nice if customers could book their own package appointments online like they can with individual services.

Time Saving like having an admin assistant but online.

Pros

Integration with Quickbooks is seamless - invoices just appear in your Quickbooks account which is a huge time saver and overall it is very easy to set up and use.

Cons

Calendar shows appointments by location not person so if you work across more than one location you have to keep changing views. And you cannot edit the content of emails and sms messages. But overall these are monir compared to how well everything else works.

Saves time by texting reminders. Has all the data in one place, backed by the cloud.

Pros

Easy to setup, and it's a pretty interface. Customer service is upbeat and friendly. Love that it's NZ based.

Cons

It needs to copy Cliniko and sign up with Invoice Direct so people that claim ACC can bill directly from Timely. Also I would like Timely to talk to Payclip at BNZ so it automatically knows who paid Eftpos.

Aesthetically I like the clean look of Timely and my clients love being able to book online. I was happy until Timely made changes to their system.

Cons

I do not like that there isn't a app for clients to download, or that they can't create an account (which I was told was coming shortly after I joined), sometimes the confirmation emails go to the inbox and other times it gets rerouted to spam, clients can no longer make changes to multiple appointments through the confirmation email, and there isn't live customer service representative to speak to. Considering switching to a different software.

It has given my small business a much more professional image and allowed for me to easily take payment by credit card. The invoicing system has helped with record keeping as well as being professional. Reporting tools are also really useful. Has helped to make it easier for new clients to get in touch with me and made making an appointment with me so much easier. It also saves me time.

Pros

It has made life so much easier for me and my clients and has helped to give my business a much more professional feel. It's very easy and logical to use and to amend and add to. The linked invoice system is excellent and again helps a small business to give a professional feel. It has also easily allowed me to add in extras like package deals and to invoice for products that I sell. The help is good too - there are lots of help documents available along with videos which often answer my question. When they don't, I've found the customer help very responsive. Sometimes they get back to me within an hour or two, sometimes it will be the next working day. Having the option to 'talk' to a human is reassuring. I very much recommend Timely to other small businesses, and whenever I struggle to make an appointment for myself with someone that doesn't have an online booking system I am always grateful that I followed a recommendation to give Timely a go!

Cons

There's not much I don't like. I've had some issue with the appointment confirmations and reminders going straight to junk folders instead of inboxes which is a bit of a pain. If I've booked in a new client myself, and then the next appointment they do it, I end up with two client profiles which is also a bit of a pain. However there is a 'merge client' option which deals with this quite easily.
