Able to see JVM memory usage, garbage collection, JVM error, and applications error per tier to associated systems.

It's not user friendly at all. And instrumentation of non-web apps is a slow painful process.

Appdynamics supports many platforms, and it's set up is relatively easy. It also supports customized monitoring, and allows you to build what you need.

It requires a little learning curve in the beginning but it has a very user friendly dash board and things gets easy when you have spent ample amount of time on this application.

The user interface so everyone can understand. Especially the graphics showing the flow of network traffic between our various monitored servers is great.

It is very easy to install and integrate with application. It will monitor application API, database and server.

The good thing about the tools is its integration with the load runner tool for performance testing. We can get the exact method and class names from the code which helps in finding the bottleneck.

AppDynamics may be a awesome arrangement for observing foundation, counting servers, databases, API endpoints, and trade exercises.

I like that it is really easy to implement, add AppDynamics agent to your code manifest and it starts to monitor your application. Easy to set up triggers for events which should be monitored.

The UI is fairly intuitive making it easy to find what your looking for. Integration is also fairly easy through the use of setup wizards for their agents.

Sometimes could be difficult to troubleshoot it if they agent cannot start with JVM process.

One negative point that I can see is that the Lite version records data from only the last two hours, that´s not enough.

This is just one of the many suite of applications that SolarWinds offers to help manage the Network. Ease to use and helps diagnose / troubleshoot issues.

A perfect monitoring tool with out of the box reporting and alerting with extreme customizations.

Even a small company needs this software but its hard to justify. The way they count nodes against your license total is in my opinion unfair.

The software tends to use too many server resources causing the application to fail and disrupt ease.

Difficult to setup initially, UI is abit intimidating at first.

Solarwinds NPM is an amazing network monitoring solution with a high level of automation. It comes with reasonale standard options and it's very easy to setup and get running.

Can be a bit difficult to discern which variables do what when formatting alerts and email notifications. First initial load of the portal takes a few minutes.

This allows you to take the most serious tasks and rectify them first. The layout of the software is very user friendly and can be used by both beginning and advanced administrators alike.
