I have been using mooSocial for some time now also along with their mooDating alternative which itself is based on mooSocial. I've tried other social community scripts but this one has many features that the others don't have and it's very affordable with very reasonably priced plugin addons to add new features and flexibility. The software is fully responsive although you can purchase the mobile apps at a reasonable price if you wish and are excellent. The support team are really helpful and prompt, when I first installed mooSocial on my site I found a couple of bugs but they where soon rectified and included in the next updates. They also have a very good community for help, tips and support and many tutorials if you happen to get stuck. Overall I am very happy with mooSocial and would recommend it to anyone wishing to start up their own social community. Excellent! :)

Great flexibility and all of the addons are made by mooSocial whereas a lot of other software alternatives only offer 3rd party plugins which through experience I found very buggy!

The only problem I found is that it can be a bit confusing if you have a lot of addon plugins as they can be a bit confusing to setup sometimes as a lot of them interact with other plugins, but that's a small price to pay when you consider there are so many options!

Its great! I had a chat with someone and sorted out what I needed and paid in pretty much 1 day. I usually got help in a day. The software didnt freeze, it all worked and I just had to custom it. It took me 2 years to get questions out of other providers even for my host so it was really nice to have all the yes I can help and here are the options we have in 1-2 days for a change.

Its easy to use, it does all the things I need and more!

I couldn't change basic things myself like some fields or features we automatically required and needed customizing. Or I couldnt give messages permissions to 1 or 2 profiles types myself but I could permissions to all profile types/users.

With the above caveats I've not found any software that does what I want better than Moosocial.

The fact that it sets up very easily, but can encounter some problems with the PHP Version on a host.

NO 24/7 or weekend tech support and it sometimes takes days to get support due to them being in Vietnam and myself in the USA. Plus, the fee for support is rather expensive when all you have is one issue you need an answer to. Support is $49 per month, no exception.

MooSocial was fun and easy to use, it was easy to teach my coworkers how to use and they have enjoyed it.

I did not like the reachability of the customer service team. I would have liked more support on that end.

It's a great platform and fits perfectly for my community's needs, but I cringe when it's time to do an update, because I know I'll have to struggle with support and end up paying $$ to get the upgraded website working properly with the apps, etc.

Has almost all the features you can find on facebook.com and has the same look and feel.

Chat server installation and integration is difficult, and often unstable. You'll get nickle-and-dimed for various plugins, and also licenses and service fees, especially if you purchase the mobile apps. Support is awful. English is barely understood and since support hours are overseas, simple threads that go back and forth a few times take several days.

I thank God for my short and long tail keyword search ability...Or I would have never found MooSocial. I spend a lot of time on Facebook and administer large Facebook groups. I noticed that many profiles are fake and my groups were and still are getting massive spam replies to posts by members of my group. More importantly, Facebook has many limitations that prevent users from marketing their goods and services. With MooSocial's software I am able to build my very own social media platform without all the limitations as Facebook. I allow my members to post freely and make as many friend request as they desire. I do not throw my users in jail. I think it's a miracle that I found MooSocial. I just can't believe it!

The apps are very basic and not as user friendly or as sleek as the website. They are also not dynamic, so making any aesthetic changes or enabling an installed plugin will require an app update (paid). rather than just auyomatically happening

Tool is reasonably prized , Pretty good support staff. Dont need to reinvent the wheel as most of the tools are already available as plugins. Its just plug and play as per your requirement. Tool is highly optimized as I didnt come across any performance issues while scaling it up. Overall a perfect value for money offering. They do what they promise in terms of delivery and refund issues. I bought a plugin that was not needed but it was promptly refunded. Good to have come across Moosocial.

1) Would prefer round the clock support if possible. Moosocial cater to clients across the globe hence any downtime during non-support timing may be costly for the clients. 2) Would prefer if they educate the customer a little more anout the exixting plugins. I wasted few days not knowing that they had the solutions I am looking for. 3)Some of the solutions are web based like " Announcment" , "referral" etc. Will be helpful if they are all mobile based too.

The whole product is a great product. Their are parts that need upgrades and custom work but thats only on a personal idea of how you want your social site to look and work. Overall moosocial has a fantastic product.

As with all products, there are always parts that could be improved. Since Moosocial cant read minds and think of everything, it is a great way for users to work with Moosocial Techs to advance and improve the product. I have had custom work done by Moosocial Techs to improve my GDPR requirements and improve my security certificate. I now have a higher safety grading than FB, twtr, wtsap, instgrm.
