Quire: Excellent Robust Reporting Platform. Low-effort, high-productivity software.

Excellent! Would recommend! Nothing but good things to say about the Quire team and their product.

PROS

The software interface is super user-friendly and easy to learn. Clean look with not too many excessive features or tools being pushed onto users. The customer service is also amazing, and you can live chat with a support agent almost instantly to resolve even the smallest of issues.

CONS

Not much that I don't like, but if I had to choose something, I would probably say that I feel the text editing and report tag management features could be slightly improved. For rich format text editing, I feel like sometimes the UI is a little clunky and outdated, reminiscent of 2010 Microsoft Word. Report tag imports/exports I also feel could be slightly improved with regards to presentation, or perhaps even implementation of filters to select when completing imports/exports. The current presentation of "Source > Target" to me feels a little confusing compared to all of the other easy-to-use features.

Reasons for switching to Quire

Way too many inefficiencies / repetitive tasks / headaches existed with using Adobe as our dominant report writing platform.

Wonderful Customer Service

My experience with Quire has been outstanding and I prefer it over EDR Parcel.

PROS

It is very user-friendly, and the customer service deserves more than 5 stars. I love the Quire app for photos.

CONS

I don't have anything negative to say, I just don't.

Good foundation but needs tweaking

PROS

Once templates are set up completing a report is very efficient. Chat feature is great for getting immediate assistance with an issue. Good customer service.

CONS

Final product is not as crisp and clean as a report or proposal created with Office programs. Modifications to templates, and other design concerns, cannot always be rectified or can take a very long time to be fixed to client satisfaction.

Quire Enthusiast!

I was very leery making the switch to Quire from our legacy system since I thought it was untested and would ultimately slow me down. I am very happy to say I was completely wrong and cannot imagine not using this system now.

PROS

It is a very intuitive platform and professional platform that sets my work product apart from my competitors. It very scalable and the ease of use allows me to provide critical data to my clients with the click of a button.

CONS

Could be cheaper? I do not really have any cons though.

PROS

It saves me a lot of time to write PCA/ESA reports due to available word banks and easy-to-use cost and reserve tables

Nothing gets missed.

Overall I am happy with the Quire app, it is intuitive to use, keeps me on my toes, reminds me of all aspects of the project, keeps me from missing any of the building components, and gives my client valuable information about the property, its deficiencies, maintenance, and replacement costs.

PROS

I love the format, drop down menus, and wordbook. Reviewing the drop down menus and word book options helps me remember the things I typically pass over. the format ensures nothing gets missed.

CONS

I find the app operates slowly and glitch's on large projects with multiple photos and files in the appendices.

A great product

My experience has been overwhelming positive. Quire has spectacular customer service both on demand and from a library of educational tools that is consistently updated.

PROS

The ability to standardize template language, to make approved language accessible to our writers, to make quick data tag changes, and to quickly compile reports

CONS

Making stylistic changes can be tricky, look of pdf output often differs from that viewed within software

Quire Templates Are Very Customizable

[sensitive content hidden] is great. She's very helpful and very thorough.

PROS

Customizable Templates. Import/Export features. Formulas in SmartTables. WordBank. Report Tags. Cost Tables. That it caters to AEC. Has an API. Tracking time spent on Reports.

CONS

Formulas in SmartTables don't update when columns and rows are added or deleted. Formulas are unable to look at cells in other SmartTables. Inability to use CSS code in Source Code. Inability to format SmartTable Headers. Inability to format Section Headers. SmartTables don't have Section and Subsection numbers as an option.

Quire - Time Saver with Scalability

So far our experience has been 10's across the board. The implementation team and customer success teams have been great to work with.

PROS

In terms of time/cost savings we expect that report writing time will be reduced between 25 and 40 percent per report. Because of the ability to lock down certain aspects of every report, reviewers now have less to look at in terms of what could possibly need to be changed/fixed. This allows reviewers to be more efficent and therefore able to review more reports in a given timeframe. Our review process has been cut down drastically.

CONS

Quire can be a little overwheming at first. It may be difficult for some staff because it is a departure from Word or other report writing software they are used to working with. With proper time and training though I'm sure staff will much prefer using Quire.

L.O.VE. QUIRE!

I have been working in Quire for almost two years now. My company uses Quire as a report writing system for our commercial real estate engineering and environmental reports. I have written reports in Quire, but my role now is more of a reviewer. From both a writer and reviewer standpoint, I love using Quire. It is so easy to use and I can't recommend it enough.

PROS

I love how easy Quire is to use. It is a very intuitive software system that makes report writing SO EASY! If I have a question, there is a Quire chat option on every page where I can chat with a Quire representative instantaneously. The Quire representatives are all so helpful and nice every single time. Now that I've been using Quire for almost two years, the representatives usually teach me how to solve the problem as well so I know how to fix the problem next time. The automation tools in Quire make writing reports so quick and easy. No more copy and paste, just hit the import/export tool!

CONS

Nothing. I love using Quire! I can't think of a single day where I have been mad or upset about using Quire. It has made my job so much better and easier. Additionally, if you ever have any ideas or recommendations for how to make Quire better, the representatives are happy to hear your input.

Reasons for switching to Quire

My company was trying to automate as much of our process as possible. We were trying to make our own report writing automation features, but it was taking too long and not working out as planned. Then, enter Quire! Quire made our automation processes better than they could have ever been if we had tried to do it all ourselves.

Natura's Feelings on Quire

We love Quire and we love our workflow through Quire. We appreciate the support we get from all the staff and also that our ideas to make the product better are taken into account. Who can say such a thing about a piece of software that you use daily? Microsoft? yeah, right.

PROS

I like that it is a very user-friendly and intuitive tool that doesn't require vast amounts of training to use. We can get a report writer up to speed in a very short amount of time.

CONS

Although customizable, I was there was some more flexibility with the cost tables. We can't use the cost tables for HUD reports as they use different language (i.e. Critical Repairs vs. Immediate and Non-Critical Repairs vs. Short-Term), but there is no way to change that and there should be.

Reason for choosing Quire

We knew the pinch points of Parcel and at the time it was really the only viable report writing tool on the market. To make a new template felt like it took an act of congress. Quire made it easy for us, not coders, to make a template that could be used, and we could make 100 variations of it. That's the value.

Reasons for switching to Quire

We built a parcel template once a long time ago and it felt like I got all my teeth pulled and never got the dentures.

Amazing Report Writing System

PROS

Quire continually impresses and stands out above all with their responsiveness and chat/customer service features. I've used this chat feature more frequently this year as an added help when creating new reports and report styles/formats. Every single time, Quire does an excellent job in understanding the request and completes the request in a very timely manner. Additionally, the system itself is very user friendly, streamlined, and has helped us write hundreds of reports faster than ever before!

CONS

Dependent on the amount of users using Quire at one point in time, the universal search function and ability to switch report status' can take longer than normal. Additionally, when in a table within the report if a user highlights to fast and clicks out of the table, any text written in that table disappears (may just be a small big fix. Not a huge concern and does not happen that often).

Reason for choosing Quire

The pricing was about the same and although some integrated features were found to be very useful with SCRIVA and parcel platform, the streamlined look of Quire, user friendly functionality and extremely fast customer service/chat feature helped us solidify our decision to stay with Quire.

PROS

Quire overall increases productivity and allows for a more uniform final product. The drop-down options/word banks/etc. that allow us to easily fill in standard sections of our reports are huge time savers. The customer service has been fairly quick with answers, and if we can't get something to work the way we want, they are pretty good about helping with workarounds or customizing the reports and styles to get our reports where we need them to be.

CONS

While the word banks are very nice once they are set up, setting them up, applying them to templates, and managing the library is very time consuming. There's also no ability to group items or create folders in the libraries, which makes managing the existing items difficult. The formatting of repair recommendation tables within in reports is a bit clunky, not customizable, and doesn't show the repair description with the recommendation. The repair recommendation tables also don't differentiate between PR-90 and Priority repairs, they are both shown as Priority within the report body. A bit of flexibility would allow us to make the final output look a lot cleaner and more reader friendly. The field data app is very limited with what you can do if you are on a cell phone. You can fill out report tags, but not much else.

Quire Report Writing Platform Review

Quire has evolved since we have started using it, and a lot of that evolution is based upon user feedback. In addition, the customer service is generally on top of things, generally resolving most issues the same day, and usually right away for minor issues.

PROS

The main reason that we chose Quire over their competitors is, at the time, we could create our own document templates. With the competitors at the time, we were not able to do that, we had to submit the template to the company and hope for the best. This also meant that we could not easily do variations on a template to tailor it to a specific client's needs, and could not easily update those templates. In addition, Quire has a per seat fee structure, where the competition at the time had a per report fee structure. Having a subscription is a much better option since we are human and make mistakes.

CONS

The learning curve is generally fairly short, but something that continues to be a pain point is their use of Smart Tables. In general, the comments I get from my users is that they would like it to me more like a spreadsheet and less like a database.

Quire - from a ground up user perspective

My overall experience has been exceptional. The positivity began the moment [sensitive content hidden] approached us and got my company to subscribe to this "new" technology, continued through the development and implementation of my workflow into Quire's system, sustained through assisting new users within my organization with educational tracks, and has continued to remain at that high level.

PROS

1. The seamless transition from using our former report preparation method into writing reports in Quire; 2. The instant confidence gained by limiting erroneous mistakes due to the user-required input functions in Report Tags; and 3. The usability and adaptability of each workbank and library feature item.

CONS

I have yet to have a valid con during my 8+ years of using Quire. Their support staff is immediately responsive to questions from my team and I. Their technical/engineering staff has an open mindset that works with us to implement changes that we might request to tailor to any of our template types. I have yet to face a negative experience.

Wonderful, Intuitive Cloud Based Software

PROS

Quire has streamlined our report writing process and saved us countless hours over the years. We are able to have all backup documents in one place, with easy access for all parties involved in the writing and reviewing process. It is a user-friendly and extremely collaborative tool. I can't believe we kept using Word for so long!

CONS

Word Bank functionality/editing is a bit tricky to get the hang of.

Quire Fan!

I am a huge Quire fan. I use it very often as an independent consultant when I work for larger firms. This is the majority of my business. I am unable to use it for my own clients because of the nature of the cost structure.

PROS

I love the way Quire streamlines the process between administrators, field personnel, report writers, and reviewers. It is a great way to put all documents in one place in order to be accessible by all parties in real-time. Also being able to send a client a link to a report saves the hassle of sending a large document the client might not be able to receive. The customer support is amazing and I have always had any issues resolved or explained to me quickly.

CONS

Quire is not set up to serve the needs of small businesses. The investment of $$ for a small business is too large a hurdle to overcome unless a large number of reports will be generated a month. I understand that Quire invests a large amount of time and resources in setting up a unique template for each firm. If there was a standard template that a small firm could customize with only input from the Quire team and an option to pay a fee per report instead of a monthly subscription, this would make it more accessible to smaller businesses.

Switching from Word to Quire for Report Writing

Overall we have cut our writing time down by at least an hour on each report. Additionally, it makes our reports more consistent across our group, which is beneficial for our clients.

PROS

The ease of taking photos in the field and adding them to the report blows me away. It's so simple to manipulate the photos once they are in the report. That alone would sell me on this product.

CONS

We have to deliver extensive appendices with our reports. While it is a breeze to add documents that will be included in the final report PDF, it would be incredibly useful to have a link to be able to send along with the report for the other documents that need to be transmitted as well. Many of our clients have restrictions on using Box or Dropbox that make it difficult to send documents.

Reasons for switching to Quire

The company (generally real estate due diligence) as a whole started using Quire, so I was able to transition our construction reports to it as well.

Hands down fantastic

Fantastic. When our company chose to go with Quire, I volunteered to be a tester and was sold right from the beginning. Best decision ever !

PROS

What don't I like ? its easy to use, its easy to train new staff, its easy to identify what areas in a report are not completed. Its been great having customized report templates and the Quire staff is so helpful if you have questions.

CONS

If you are not an administrator, there are some areas you do not have access to update/change; however, there is good reasons for it.

Reasons for switching to Quire

They couldnt' keep up the software improvements due to internal people leaving. I lost way too many reports when the former system "lost it" and with a web based report, that doesn't happen.

My Quire Review

Overall positive with some frustrations. Wish we could conduct a search and replace and that we could change font case.

PROS

I like the appendix and tags the most in Quire.

CONS

Sometimes when I write things in the tables and I click away and do something else, when I return, all that I wrote was not saved. Very annoying.

Reasons for switching to Quire

I wouldn't say that I switched from others but I have used other products. I don't see Parcel Platform or Bluelynx/Sitelynx on your list of options, but those are other products I have used. Some of my client companies required me to use Quire.

Faster on the photos in my reports

Switching to Quire was pretty simple, and the reports look good.

PROS

I can get the photos in Quire quickly without worrying about layout issues, put titles on them, and get to the writeup. My report writing time is down by 38%, and I know I'm using more photos to describe conditions.

CONS

I didn't want to leave Word and learn something new.

Proactive

My overall experience with Quire has been exceptional and appreciate the software for making my job so much easier than what it was over 5 years ago when we would just use a word template and go back and format with formatting.

PROS

What I like most about Quire is the easy Template Designs and it being User-friendly allowing my team to be Proactive on a daily basis.

CONS

What I like least about Quire is the slow downloads for the PDF Report Link especially when working with large portfolios.
