Best render tool for architects
That in just 15 min I can get incredibly realistc renders.
CONSSo far, nothing, I am loving it, there are just a little things I think need improvement but I believe they will be fixed in no time.
Reasons for switching to D5 Render
Because I was spending roughly 5 hours to get good results and it turned out I didn´t get the result I wanted, now in just 15 min I can get pretty decent results.

An excellent program that is easy to use. The results obtained with the D5 render are more than good for my needs.
CONSI don't like that there is too little data when preparing the scene for rendering. It is necessary to add measurement, dimensions and some other options to even manage the space.
Reasons for switching to D5 Render
I switched to D5 render because I can make better quality renders and because of the lower price.

THE BEST RENDERING SOFTWARE
My experience with D5 has been love at first sight. I had worked with Blender for architectural projects, importing the model. Every time the project underwent a change I had to export, update materials...very complicated. Individualizing an area in the Revit model so that the file is not so heavy and that it is updated in real time is priceless, especially for interior design. Being able to work among several members of the office each in one area of the project is fantastic. Managing materials is very easy, as is importing new ones. It seems to me to be a modern software and in each version they make available there are considerable improvements.
PROSOnce the software is installed and coordinated with Revit using the plugin that is downloaded from the official D5 page, the incredible results begin to appear from the first minute. Fast visualization, no blocking, changes to the model from Revit are updated immediately in the render. Infinite blocks available. Ability to insert blocks from my folders. Possibility of working with materials that I import. Possibility of importing HDRI Possibility of working in community between several members on the same project.
CONSManaging layers when inserting elements into the model.
Reasons for switching to D5 Render
Above all, because D5 allows me to work in real time with the Revit model

D5 is the quickest software to render
D5 is the quickest software to render out your desired scene, It's easy to use and the assets and the materials are very high quality.
PROSThe render speed is very fast plus the quality of the renders is amazing. In terms of quality and speed D5 wins.
CONSNo snapping system to accurately move object alignment.
Reasons for switching to D5 Render
D5 is faster, and the end result is a far way better than Lumion

Things the D5 Render need to improve
I like the graphic quality and easy of the software. There are my detail to the graphic quality with a reasonable price compared to other redering software.
CONSCurrently D5 render redeem code has a problem where only one account can redeem the code. They dont have a multi - subscription base for company use. Its hard to make new account each time we want to buy a new license. Also if you accidentally redeem in the wrong account there is no way to rectify the problem as of now.

More than easy enough, more than powerful enough
This software trailblazes a new wave of renderers that are easy to use yet powerfull. In particular I like how they are playing with AI in a useful manner, not as a gimmiky showoff.
CONSI wish video editing was a bit more flexible. Its kind of designed in a way that only short pans are easy. This said it is not bad, just could be expanded.

D5 RENDER AFTER A WEEK OF INTENSIVE USE
All functions and user interface are very intuitive and fun to test. Although the quality of the lighting is not super detailed, and the render quality is not amazing compared to a full featured super sophisticated render engine, (like v-ray, arnold, corona, etc.) It does a great job compared to its direct competitors (lumion, twinmotion, vantage). Probably the best part of using D5 is not having to wait several minutes (sometimes hours) to find out how the render will look like. What you are looking is what you get. And that's a big time saver!. And with a little effort and some tricks, you can almost get the quality from other full featured render engines in a fraction of the time. D5 is the best option in the realm of real time render engines.
PROSThe ease of use. Not having to wait until you render for several minutes an image to see if it comes the way you wanted it.
CONSThe lack of an option to render using a path tracer or some similar function that simulates the correct light behaviour, and the organization of the library feels a little messy compared to lumion or twinmotion. Some assets are a little cartoonish.
Reasons for switching to D5 Render
Ease of use and overall quality. I found several limitations in twinmotion, like the lack of alpha channel output, and some nasty bugs in the final images, specially when lumen or path tracer are activated.

D5 render review as a student
Before I used D5 I was using Twinmotion. You can imagine that the difference was huge. Now I use D5 almost every week as a student to try different concepts and make the final renders. I think D5 has come up with very smart solutions to integrate AI and I also think updates with the caustics effect or the new camera tool are great. I really like using it and I will be in the future. The only thing that irritates me, is not having the option to add objects inside Sketchup. That would make prepare a render a lot easier and more fun.
PROS- The capability of making realistic renders with ease. - The realistic light effects - The AI generated vines and AI environment match - The caustics effect
CONS- I miss the ability to add objects and materials inside programs like Sketchup (like with Enscape) - I think the pro version is quite expensive and the free version doesn't have a lot of materials and objects. - Making nice animations in D5 render is more difficult than in software like Twinmotion or Enscape.
Reasons for switching to D5 Render
Because I wanted higher quality and D5 render offered that!

Forget about other software
Previous software that I used was Twinmotion. After some issues with that software, I tried D5 render and I've never looked back. Now I'm using D5 render for about two years and with the constant updates I'm sure, that it is the best software on the market at the moment.
PROSEasy to use, fast and great renderings, great sync with SketchUp, AI generated texture, constantly upgrading with new features.
CONSAt the moment I only miss one feature and that is to add watermark to exported renders right in the app.
Reasons for switching to D5 Render
Sync with Sketchup stopped working. Renders took really long. Not big library of assets and not as many funtions as D5 Render. Final renders also look much better in D5.

A software to be creative
A good experience, I am using it for my professional 3D visualization work, really good results are achieved in a short time if you know how to use its tools, the program gives you creative freedom, avoiding extensive and tedious configurations. It is likely that some configurable aspects are needed, but I do not doubt that they will be incorporated in updates.
PROSHaving easy tools, a friendly interface and surprising results, you just have to understand what you want to do and the program allows you to do it.
CONSI think what could be improved is related to the 3D models of the vegetation, in quality and variety.
Reasons for switching to D5 Render
Ease and quality, I still use other software but d5 is the most frequent recently

Straight forward and necessary for quick through put
The "no frills" approach is greatly balanced by a few of the more key customizable aspects of rendering. Most of the time, presets and the provided options deliver exactly what I need.
CONSFurther development on the VR front, especially the ability to publish executive files for the exploration of spaces would be an incredible edition. I feel happy about what is offered through the product as it is, but locking a few more custom options behind switches for further control of scenes would basically eliminate my need for competing products.
Reasons for switching to D5 Render
Real time rendering and video production ease.

D5 Render is second to none
I'm very happy with the results I'm able to generate with D5, it has taken my models to the next level, where the end result looks much like the finished product 8 to 12 months later.
PROSThe exquisite and captivating renderings that you are able to produce with this program using just a fraction of the time it takes in other similar 3d rendering programs
CONSSo far I've enjoyed every aspect of D5, and I would say unlike sketchup I don't feel as though you can use D5 to model objects... even something like a shaggy rug. But I know at this time it is probably just due to my limited knowledge of the program, and I'm sure the more I get into it, I will figure out how to accomplish such tasks.
Reasons for switching to D5 Render
Cost was the main reason, as well as ease of use, as D5 is light years easier to navigate and map items vs V-Ray

Amazing software for rendering
It is a great product, it has excellent performance and unbeatable quality, it still lacks some things but they are on the right foot, they are a great team and the truth is that they have been excellent in such a short time that they have with the software
CONSI think they should have a little bit of flexibility regarding that you can export into their system since what you create there in d5, you can't export it to modify some things with some modeling software
