Nice System Overall

We have been with eLead over 2 years and very happy with how the system has helped us. Look forward to how they continually evolve.

PROS

Very easy crm to use. Training is great.

CONS

Like anything else, need to hold people accountable to input data, cross off tasks, read reports. Lot of little errors and the mobile app is something to be desired.

Elead makes me feel they genuinely care about my success!

We utilize a ton of the features available with Elead. Because of this we have a ton of moving parts and I'd guess that we require way more personal attention than 90-95% of their users. Most companies have people in place to assist you with problems you may have with their software. All I can speak to is my experience, but [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN], who is my contact when I need assistance takes pride in his craft and goes way above and beyond what is required. If I have a problem I give him a call on what I believe is his cell. If he answers he immediately either listens to my concerns or lets me know when he will be able to give me his full attention. If he cannot answer, I don't wait long for a call back, email or text letting me know when he will be available. Once he understands my concern, he sets us up on a virtual meeting and I am his only focus for however long is needed. Almost every time that the concern is taken care of, he tries to offer additional ideas or asks additional questions to try and optimize our success. I don't ever write reviews, good or bad but I felt obligated to let people know the type of partner you get with Elead. I don't see them as strictly a CRM..... I see them as a business partner dedicated to finding ways for us to be more successful!

PROS

I've switched CRM's several times for several different reasons. The main thing I always hated aside from having to learn an entirely different product is time and growing pains that come with transitioning to a different CRM. Am I going to lose important data? Will it take weeks to get everything transfered? Will my team be frustrated with the new software? I could go on forever. I'm not in the CRM industry so I can't speak to what's expected with a transition and how much growing pains you should expect to have. I can say that 10-12 years ago the switch was much more difficult than it is now and even back then Elead had the most streamlined process of the others we've tried. For the record, we've only used the higher end companies with the highest costs. I'd imagine the less expensive ones are much worse but I have no experience with them. The ease of transition with Elead was way beyond my expectations. Maybe they've all improved significantly with technology, who knows?

CONS

I wouldn't call it a con, plus I may just not know how to handle this specifically and I've never asked. I wish there were a simple way to search the entire database of notes input by our staff for keywords. Whether it be specific bikes, specific trade ins, etc. If your staff does a good job of adding the product of interest where it's supposed to go, then this would be irrelevant. More often than not, our team is trying to input the data as quickly as possible and doesn't give much more than the required info.

Large Market Share and No Innovation - Poor Service

They are only a means to an end. We have been on the lookout for other DMS softwares to move forward with for years now. We are only waiting for our current contract to end.

PROS

CDK is a means to an end. We need an auto-dealer specific software and CDK just happens to be the one we signed up with 5 years ago. It helps us get what we need to done.

CONS

There has been little to no innovation and their customer service is horrible. It's impossible to get anyone on the phone to help resolve issues and their chat/message service is horribly slow and the people they have serving you don't know the product and can't help and just end up "escalating" the matter to someone higher up than them which then could take days longer to get a response. They lock you in to multi-year contracts because they are large and hold a lot of the market share.

CDK / E-Leads User for 6 Years

PROS

Our dealership came from not using a CRM tool at all, to using E-Leads/CDK. We were manually tracking our customers in our own DMS and data base, and our follow up and reporting was based on a notepad! The best part of CDK is the the CRM aspect and ease with following up with customers. The product makes it very easy to reach out to prospects, and to follow up on old ones and ones that have already been sold. There is the ability to write notes about after-the-sale items that need notated, and everyone can read them there is no lack of connectivity!

CONS

Customer support! That is our only complaint. We had an issue where certain leads from our own website would come in based out of a Wisconsin address. No one at CDK was able to know why, mainly pointing the finger at our own website. CDK has trouble talking to and working out problems with other third-party providers. There has been a work-around implemented to work out the issue however.

The Best CRM is the One You Actually Utilize

I like it. It is easy to use. I would recommend for a company that won't need much support from Elead.

PROS

I like that I can have more than 1 customer record open at once. I like that it is web-based. I like the ability to customize every process as needed. The email campaign setup is easy.

CONS

Customer service is nonexistent. I'm unable to customize the workflow myself - Elead must do it but elead rarely returns calls. I had to send a cancelation email to get a response after months of trying.

A Robust System

I use CDK Global on a weekly basis to support my customers, and I have found that it is the most user friendly tool out of its competition.

PROS

I specifically like case management section in DealerSuite, I can quickly search all of my open cases by a specific date range, or just all of my cases since I started using the software. Additionally, once you click on a case to review it, CDK does a great job of neatly organizing the case notes in a manner that creates a simple environment that is easy to read. Their support is extremely helpful and everyone I have worked with their truly seems to want to help resolve your issue, and also recommend more efficient ways at tackling tasks in the system.

CONS

The only difficulty I have with this software is that it is only accessible via Internet Explorer. As an employee of a company that uses Mac products exclusively, this presents a large problem as Internet Explorer is not available to Mac users, so I have to use a 3rd party application that runs through Chrome and immitates IE. I would have no complaints whatsoever if CDK was able to make their software usable on Chrome!

I would recommend Eleads over DealerSocket or VinSolutions

PROS

I have used many automotive CRMS and like Eleads the best. It is easy to use, has good reporting and I find that their support is better then others.

CONS

They do have some less integrations then other suites of services but do take feeds and import/export data well.

The ease of use and the support is great.They are always there to make it right and do it in a timely manner.

CONS

Sometimes it gets slow,but I think this is due to their growth and use of outside vendors. The vendors also due a very good job of keeping everything up and running.

CDK has multiple functions

We use CDK all day every day. If you need a better setup to integrate all of our business areas into one that will communicate and become more user friendly, I am sure that CDK will be able to make it work.

PROS

CDK is a VERY LARGE platform. It can do just about anything in any area of a business from inventory to finance.

CONS

It is too big with too many divisions and sometimes can work together in its own system. If it crashes, we are out of luck and can't function because soo many functions are tied together.

Uploading videos to the website is easy once I figured out the steps.

CONS

The website looks horrible compared to others. Using it for service is a nightmare. A lot of random codes needed and just overall not user friendly what so ever.

Most Unethical penny pinching company I have ever used

Over the nearly 30 years with CDK the only feeling I have towards them is regret for sticking with such a horrible company. I hope this helps anyone who is shopping for a quality DMS. Look at AutoMate first, I am not paid by them, actually I pay them, but I just regret not making the switch years ago.

PROS

There really isn't anything good to say about this company. Our company has been with them for nearly 30 years and every time the contract comes due they treat us like a new customer. The always try to increase their rates substantially and they will never miss an opportunity to overcharge. They charge top dollar for antiquated software and exploit their customers based on their contracts.

CONS

CDK is a Con. Their business model feels borderline criminal and was probably easier to execute when Reynolds and CDK were pretty much the only options. Now that there are multiple other options, that are both more cost effective and just overall better products with better customer service I would look elsewhere. There is a reason why the company net value is dropping like a rock.

Seemed cost effective which when you receive the bill you get nickel and dimed so it actually was not the cheaper option

Although I am not privy to the actual cost for this service, I can only provide the info of what we experience and what we deal with. Although nothing is perfect, everything has areas for improvement. At times, I feel that there are gremlins in the system as the workflow and some settings seem to change all by itself when assigning the appropriate personnel or task. When it does not assign it right, customer service is always ready to look at the issue and figure out what went wrong. I believe it would be beneficial for ELEAD to offer some kind of training meeting to attend to fully watch or learn about the system. There does seem to be a ton of unnecessary reports....and there has been a couple of times some reports don't produce the right number when looking at another similar report. After talking with customer service representative, he was able to produce some recommended reports to use in the meantime. Also, it would really be beneficial with the texting feature for that to count as a form of contact with the customer. I know that there is a report that shows the number of texts sent but that does not transmit to Subaru. Customer service representative can work through the issues that we have!

Hard to say as I was not the one who originally set up the workflows......I am always having to fix something once it happens.

Decent CRM but perfect

PROS

It is an easy interface to input and manage customer database.

CONS

Customer data entered into CRM does not always transfer across multiple forms within the CRM. It becomes frustrating while working a deal when information is not consistent and stops work flow. Constantly having to ask IT support to fix issue and it is never resolved.

Elead Review

Based on my original introduction to the system I expected a lot more from Eleads as a CRM. To say I am disappointment is an understatement!

PROS

I feel most dealerships use Eleads as it can integrate with other systems fairly easily compared to other CRM's.

CONS

1) Reports are slow to load. It would be nice if stats were automatically updated and visible on the main dashboard. 2. As a salesperson I rely on having the ability to narrow down a search based on specific criteria and generate a list of clients I can call based on available inventory eg, we receive a MODEL XYZ and I should be able to to search all clients that have an interest in Model XYZ. I feel the search capabilities for a salesperson to maximize their database and prospecting are not satisfactory. 3) The system is extremely slow . I have run Eleads on a high speed FIOS connection and it is still slow so it is not the speed of my internet connection as Eleads will tell you when you complain about speed.

Good for a small store

PROS

Been on the car business for 3+ years and this is the first time using eLeads. I do like the fact that the customers paperwork can be print out from the system, enter the credit application, and assign tasks to other users.

CONS

Some past customers go away after 90 days of selling the vehicle. Seeing a list of people in the showroom is not available for everyone and is complicated to look at past weeks visits. There's no option to not do anything with a task until further notice.

Absolutely love eLead!

We use eLead at both dealerships I work at. The ease of use is perfect for the sales team, even those new to the product, while the reporting and accountability it provides is perfect for the managers. Customer support is always quick to respond, especially my stores rep. I can call him basically 24/7 and he handles whatever I need with speed and professionalism 100% of the time. He answers any questions I have, makes suggestions and just gets it done. As a company they are up to date with technology and willing to listen to ideas that you may have to make the product work even better. Overall 5 stars!

eLead does what we need it to do

Our main use of eLead is through our sales teams at our different stores. We also have Conversica interact with customers through eLead. The way we are using eLead works pretty well for what we recognize we need out of a CRM.

PROS

What I like most about eLead is the support when I need something. The rep who is my Performance Manager bends over backward to do whatever he can when we need questions answered and challenges solved. Our trainer has also been very accommodating and happy to create learning accountability assessments tools with me which have had a very positive effect.

CONS

Some areas of eLead are not very intuitive. Our support gets us what we need when this is the case and improvements happen on a regular basis that often improve the CRMs usability.

Effective CRM

Eleads is the best CRM I've used and I've used many.

PROS

Eleads is a very efficient and useful CRM. Has all the necessary features like desking, templates, eblasts, VBDC option, phone call monitoring, reporting and much more. Often updates, has gotten much better over the years.

CONS

The range of eleadcrm is incredible. There are some many metrics we can get and forecast through this tool. All the while we can hold different departments accountable and achieve goals per department and store and platform under one tool.

Great CRM for multi-line store!

Supportive Performance Managers and on-boarding made the transition to a new CRM easy! Enjoy the flexibility of creating our own presentation form that works best for our multi-line store.

PROS

eLead provides the ability to desk anywhere with ease, allows us to easily run a multi-line store together as one campus, and works great with CarWars for call tracking abilities.

CONS

Tablet friendly up until April 2019 and issues still have not been resolved.

Easy to use as an administrator as well as training a user

PROS

It is easy to administer as well as easy to train the most novice user to use successfully. Everything that you need when working a customer is right where you expect it to be. I also like that we have been able to customize so much to fit our company's needs and selling style.

CONS

While customizing it can be a little bit glitchy while getting the custom settings just the way we want them. But it has all worked out in the end to be what I was looking for.

..

We like [SENSITIVE CONTENT] our local rep... otherwise we would be shopping. We will be looking at NADA this year.

PROS

Familiarity, I am yet to see a crm that is easy to use including eleads...but in today's market, about half have used eleads in some capacity somewhere else.

CONS

its very old...reports suck...................................

Solid option, not perfect

We've used CDK global for 15 years. It gives our dealership a solid option with inventory, accounting, payroll, etc. I've found it to be somewhat flexible, but has it's limitations within all segments of the software. I love that it can feed to most online directories. I love the CRM option as well, but you have to pay for it.

PROS

This program/company is obviously a long time, solid option for dealerships. Great support, easy to call and get help.

CONS

I want all programs to work like Windows and the developers didn't do that. It does have good functionality, but still has a long way to go. I get a LOT of error messages.
