Overview of Pega Platform

It is a low-code platform to build and deploy the application into the cloud using AWS cloud.

PROS

I like the Pega Platform because it is easy to develop an application with minimum knowledge of coding. Pega provides different frameworks in which we can select the framework based on our requirements. Pega provides OOTB features which makes our work easy and simple. By having basic knowledge of case management we can easily develop an application that can be converted into Android and IOS applications. The debugging tools provided by Pega help me to track and debug the issues using tools like Clipboard, Tracer, PAL, etc.

CONS

For most of the issues, we find solutions in the Pega Community but for some issues, there are no solutions and the incident tickets are closed. As Pega releases new updated versions the old applications built on lower versions need to be upgraded then some issues are introduced as some rules are deprecated.

Pega-The king of BPM

PROS

Pega is most powerful BPM tool in current world.This software is having more number of feature compare to other BPMs. It is easy to understandable and easy to use.As a new customer to pega they can quickly adopt to usage of the software.These software is having more number of features than other BPM tools like IBM BPM.The Development of the project in pega is very easy and minimal time.Fast customer service for customization with other tools.

CONS

The main problem with Pega is learning and tool cost. There is no proper boot camp materiel for new learners and for the emerging customers who wants to use the pega software to implement projects, it's cost so high than other open source software like Java.

No code software

It's a solid software. It is robust and can be easily deployed.

PROS

Application development is very easy. It's drag and drop UI components helps to build frontend forms and simultaneously customize the backend with a click.

CONS

It's can be slow. Since there's a lot of backend processing, it would take a couple of seconds while dragging and dropping UI components

Multi platforms with Pega

Overall experience with Pega platforms is great. Headless pega is also in demand due its simplicity and ease of use. Customer support is also very good as compared to other platforms.

PROS

A lot of functionalities are present in a single platform. Very easy and simple to use. Integration with other platforms is hassle free.

CONS

Creation of UI interface in Pega needs improvement. PDF formatting and creation is not so easy.

It's has 100% automation process using PEGA technology + Process + Human Simple case management that gives usability If you don't provides the services(web or http) also you can use the Robotics It's take very less time to develop a particular process Salesautomation + Pega + Robotics will gives hand to hand process development

It's very difficult to contact support team for small companies its very difficult to purchase Not all PEGA software doesn't come with PEGA license like PEGA robotics If you provide end to end process to a customer easily you can use the PEGA because PEGA is combined with AI+DevOps+Process+Robotics+CRM

Useful platform to move business processes to functional solutions

PROS

This is a platform designed to move from properly captured business processes to functional software solutions. The inclusion of mobile services makes it easy to prototype working solutions and produce functional systems with less overall development time. Their depth and breadth of supported processes makes developing systems more likely and less reliant on needing to go "outside the box" to produce fully functional systems

CONS

Like every platform of this type, not every process required in every situation is covered. When that occurs, there needs to be a way to "color outside the lines" to produce fully functional solutions. The ability to do that exists here, but as is the case with most platforms of this type it is not as intuitive as you would like it to be

Out of the Box Workflow Solution

PROS

The platform provides a nice, off the shelf workflow solution. It's flexible to suit a variety of implementations. It's robust, easy to learn, and is bug free. There's an activity log which records all actions taken.

CONS

The user interface is not flashy. Customizing will require a bit of testing.

Great use of BPM methods to streamline work

PROS

Development appears to be good within our internal structure. Can use the manager to mock up changes.

CONS

Licenses can get tedious to update. This is more on our side - but the dev to customize the look and appearance can get complicated. Having a way to customize Pega 7 as a UI can help rather than building it as a framework over our own UI.

10 years working on BPM with 8 years working on Pega

Flexibility, re-organisation, control, analitical for next best action, 360° view of my customer.

PROS

The platform concept because is a mix of BPM/case management/low code platform/Versionning/BRE/Mobile app/Analytics/...

CONS

I will say the price because this product was quite expensive but actually with the cloud solution the price is accessible for more enterprise that they want to make a real digital transformation.

A great BPM tool

I started using PEGA 7 platform 2 years back. Its really a simple and effective tool to use , and it understands our business needs very well, resulting in creating an amazing business process management software for the enterprises.

PROS

Easy to use, What you see is what you get, Developing a software from UI perspective, Easy integration,Extraordinary support through Pega Discovery Network(PDN), PDN trainings and certifications.

CONS

Lack of online support should rely upon PDN for all the support needed.
