I use it whenever I need to see if a service or asset is compliant with our needs or to see changes over time to assets.

It does not show the names of individual assets, only the AWS ID. This is annoying when trying to find a specific item in the console.

The UI is more intuitive and is very easy to navigate around the application and make necessary implementations.

Some time the Config Rules are hard to comprehend and arrange. They could be made simple or have GUI to arrange them.

I would say it is hard to get started from the ground level, but aws provides extensive white papers, examples, videos, and training to get you running at full speed without too much effort.

Since most of the commands are unaware it takes time for new users to get used to it.

Configuration is easy, there are many canned reports to pull daily, monthly, and quarterly reports on changed and access to AD and other integrations.

Very useful product which integrates well with our systems and allows our L1 techs to keep a handle on user login issues on a daily basis without requiring any extra permissions in AD.

ADAudit Plus - Very helpful to track users and their roles.

The simplicity of this product is fantastic. Its on of the easiest and most simple piece of software to use with the most effective results.

If you have a large scale active directory environment you can not see what is going in it. You must use a auditor software and AD audit plus is perfect match for that need.

ADAudit Plus has helped us to fulfill a requirement: monitor our AD for changes with respect to security settings.

It doesn't sound so bad, but the upgrade process itself is dependent on this antiquated process that uses a batch file and a Java utility.

It is  bit difficult but if i am using continuously then only can get the least details.

IT is very user friendly software. Any IT person who has basic knowledge of AD and servers can do their work with this software.

Easy to add nodes as well as report generating. Good GUI which make it much easier to access console and mange it.

Setup for some of the above can be quite complex and we can sometimes catch ourselves out if the rules are too strict. Manually adding someone to a group and forgetting we restricted it for example).

We use this for tracking bad password attempts and keeping logs of group changes.

Some of the upgrades are a bit of a pain due to services, and it's hard to install multiple products on the same server due to port usage and service installations.

We have a very complex file server where alot of file movement happenes every minute. And wihout it made the tracking of a file very difficult.

The ADAudit support team were really good with helping my team get the product set up in the first place, making sure that everything that needed to be seen could be seen.
