  • Pros

  • Jira has all the necessary tools that make a good service desk. Users can file requests by categories and it automatically gets assigned to the support person responsible for the job.
  • Integrations and automation with other systems make a very useful and fluid toolbox that actually makes life easier.
  • Cons

  • When there are large about of mini-tasks some of them can get lost. Unable to merge issues to another project.
  • Confusing settings requirements for some user modifications needs (esp. where mapping/editing workflow schemes are concerned).

  • Pros

  • It just...works after you set it up. Their marketing is also pretty awesome, with several themed boxes of goodies you'll actually want to keep and use.
  • Very intuitive and easy to use, a lot of integrations built in for services such as VMware, Office 365 and SQL Server. Backups are encrypted and help prevent any ransomware.
  • Cons

  • Limited reporting built in to the system and not much report or audit customization availible. Also lackluster RBAC implementation.
  • Missing a few features, many of them are legacy, but still missing. Every release gets more features.
