Calling Post has been an ESSENTIAL tool during this health crisis.
I have used Calling Post for over 15 years. It has always been a tool that I used to communicate with the senior residents who live in our community. However, during the COVID-19 crisis it has been an invaluable asset in maintaining a line of communication on an almost daily basis with my folks. The unlimited plan is a marvelous value and I certainly get my money's worth! It is very easy to use, they can hear MY voice not a recorded voice, and I can rest assured that they all receive the message.

Calling Post for Church Communications
It took quite a while for folks to realize that they had to wait several seconds for the message to begin. The call sounds like any other courtesy call they receive and they would hang up before the message started.
PROSThe use of Calling Post replaced our previous "Prayer Chain", which was reliant upon each person responding promptly and passing the message on. It became tedious because so many folks did not follow through and the messages were not completed. With Calling Post, I can send the message out to everyone in a matter of minutes.
CONSFor quite some time, I have been getting an error message after sending and need to retry. I wait a minute and then resend. It usually goes, but sometimes gets sent twice. I have contacted "Help", but the things that they recommend checking have already been done.

Some Critiques
Generally positive, with the exception noted above.
PROSThe program is generally fairly simple to use and adequate for the reasonably simple reminders we send out to our congregation in the form of texts, emails and calls. Customer service is also quite good.
CONSI find sending out my weekly blog is often problematic in terms of a balky format that often is not user friendly when corrections need to be made . Also, copying pre-typed text from Word is often problematic in terms of retaining the original formatting.

Because of our existing use of CP and desire not to have to spend considerable time with set up requirements, and because CP was meeting our basic needs.

Ambassadors for Christ
While I was able to access my list, the experience was great. I don't know what to do now. I am trying to find a site comparable to Calling Post.
PROSI like the fact that I was able to contact the church members with one call and everyone received the same message. It is great for making announcements to those who are unable to attend services at the church and it is a great way to keep in touch with our members.
CONSI was disappointed when I saw the format had changed and the membership list wasn't available. I had painstakingly entered every phone number, email address and other information. When I tried to send out a post after you changed the site, I couldn't access my list!

Calling Post was recommended to me and when I tried it, it worked for me.

Good Communication Tool
Having the system go down and not be available when you need it

Excellent Platform for Keeping Employees Up to Date
We needed a great way to communicate with all of our employees about situational changes due to COVID. We had used CallingPost every now and then before, but we have really benefitted from having it during this time.
PROSI love that I can text all of some of my employees at the same time without having to break it down into segments. Keeping our employees notified of COVID related information has been so beneficial to us!
CONSSometimes the message won't send, and it gives you an error message of "Oops, something went wrong." You almost have to back out of the entire thing and get back in to get it to send. Thank goodness it does save the message.

I Love Calling Post
I absolutely love Calling Post. The service is amazing in that you can reach many people with one phone call! If ever there's a problem or a concern, the customer service is fantastic! You can actually call in and speak to someone or email them, confident that someone will respond quickly.
CONSIt's good as is! I don't have any complaints at all.

voice mail calling post
Calling post has helped me keep my group informed of the many changes and activities that affect our organization. The messages come in clear and a voice message is left on the line if the member misses the call.
PROSI am able to send a message to a large group using the phone and able to edit the message before sending it out. I am also able to make changes easily to the list of phone numbers.
CONSIt took a while to get the phone numbers transferred to calling post from the previous package I was using .

Great App to get the word out
Great experience. I only had to call for help once or twice and it was more educational than functional issues.
PROSCallingPost is easy to set up and use. I can record messages now and send them out later or repeatedly as needed. I use it to inform our church about upcoming events and changes to our schedule.
CONSNone, it works better than expected. I love it.

Calling Post saves time.
I'm saving time and everyone is getting the same information at the same time, so noone feels slighted, snubbed or uninformed.
PROSThis product is easy to use and saves time. Once the names and information are programmed, I can just spend 10 minutes to get a message out. I usually record the message and schedule it to go out the following morning. My members are appreciative because they stay informed and up-to-date and they feel like their Pastor is operating in the 21st Century.
CONSThe fact that I can call, send to voicemail, email or text is a plus. Usually I send the message out in multiple formats. That way I ensure that my members get it. The only negative is that sometimes messages seem to overlap, like a text message alert will come in while I'm listening to the actual call. However, that little glitch in the system is easy to ignore. And on one occasion I scheduled a message and the program give an error message, so I reprogrammed the message and then both messages went out.

It's been a great tool for my church, just need more time?
PROSCalling post is a great tool to get your message out to several people especially in a church congregation all at one time, so it really helps
CONSI don't like the fact that it do not give me longer time to record my messages at least 3-5 minute I may not user that much time but I don't even have that option?

This service allows me to contact all members of the parish and to play back a recording for my own records.
PROSEase of use. I use this product for sending messages to parishioners and to parish organizations. During COVID-19, I have used this product for sending weekly sermon shorts.
CONSOther than the shortness of recording time, I can't think of any 'cons.'

My review
Mixed, easy to set up and use but it is becoming increasingly glitchy and I find the app is not very useful.
PROSEase of setup and use, intuitive and some very basic features make it easy to get going.
CONSI've mostly used the site based system from a browser on my desktop and I've found it very glitchy lately. Over the past few months I've found that when I go to create and send messages I just get a message that the systems was unable to send, no reason or error why. So, after several manual attempts it eventually sends but I come to find that my email that I spent time formatting gets completely blown out and I have to do it all over again. I did not contact customer service with the issue, most of the time I send this out late in the early evening and they are not available, and when they are it takes too much time to sort out then just making additional attempts.

Easy to communicate with our church!
I would highly recommend calling post to anyone who is looking to keep a group of people informed.
PROSThe best part of calling post is their customer service. If I ever have an issue, I simply place the call to the friendly staff and they take excellent care of me, solving any and all issues.
CONSThe only thing I would say is a negative is the app seems to be a little bit old and sometimes glitchy.

Understand your product
By using the software we were able to contact multiple individuals with one call.
PROSWhat I like about this software was The ability to schedule calls . I also appreciate the ability to store past messages and reuse when necessary
CONSSome of the plans were misleading. My organization had to upgrade for everything. We increase our listing to five more people and the price doubled.

Other than messages for phone calls it has made contacting everyone so much easier.
PROSThat it sends out messages to everyone quickly.
CONSCreating messages for phone calls is aggravating. It use to be easier and similar to text messages. Now you have to got to messages and create it and then choose to send it after finding it on the list of messages. Not user friendly.

Not thrilled
I like the option to do a voice recording or use text to voice.
CONSIt feels clunky and doesn't function well for us. We have sent messages, paid credits only to find the message was lost somewhere in cyberspace and never delivered.

FANTASTIC! Additionally, I wish that the billing was simplified.
PROSThe fact that I can schedule announcements to go out at any time to multiple groups. It is very easy and smooth to record a message.
CONSI wish that there was a way to show who did not receive the call or simplify how customers would like for the message to go out to receivers. For example, allow customers the option to choose how many attempts should be made to a caller.

My experience has been good but don’t use it frequently.
PROSThe software is like having another employee, I can reach out to a group of potential clients in less than 5 minutes and I receive notice when correspondence is complete. The software doesn’t require a unique password. My assistant and I can both use it with ease.
CONSThe software frequently crashes. I don’t have time to resend messages, it needs To work the first time.
