As I have used this product, the developers are keen to keep their product evolving for the customers need. Updates are constantly rolling out as users request different features. Its quite interesting to see what others are asking for and see if it benefits my estimates.

Being able to create typical take offs for multi unit buildings is a huge time saver.

I think this is more of a user gripe, as it is a totally different format, the learning curve was steep, but manageable. As I continued to use the software, it became more intuitive to use.

We went to NECA 2022 in search of an electrical estimating platform to use. We spoke to representatives of about 9 different software companies and settled on giving Quantify a try as the price point was better than 7 of the 9 and they are a Canadian company.

I like the ability to customize the software. From the way that takeoffs are done, the colours, shapes, even custom symbols that can be used. The fact that the Suderman Estimating labour manual is incorporated into the software is a plus as I am already familiar with it. The ability to create drawings for smaller projects is a nice bonus.

Yes, there are features that are missing. However they are either in the process of being added or have been added since I started using it. When I ask for a feature it is added or there is a good reason for it not being available.

Easy to use and new features coming online all the time. No add on costs, you get everything that is available and anything new that gets implemented along the way.

The only weak point I initially perceived with this product is how new it is. That concern diminishes all the time as it actually seems to be an advantage they are capitalizing on.

One of our biggest challenges as a small electrical company was estimating, but everything changed when I found Quantify. The platform is truly amazing. I’m not great with computers, but I found the platform incredibly easy to use. This software helped me provide accurate estimates in a timely manner to clients and general contractors. The systems support I receive from Melvin is phenomenal. I emailed him on a Sunday and did not except a response until Monday, but he emailed me back right away to walk me through the process. After completing our first estimate we won the project and have received the next one to bid. I can’t stress enough how great the platform is and how amazing the team is behind it. Thanks to Quantify and the team, business is booming and estimating has never been so fun.

There truly was not one aspect that I did not like about Quantify. The platform was easy to learn and use.

Patabid is easy to use, offers all the capabilities to complete small and large jobs without over burdening you with complicated features. It is well thought out and you can tell the developers are experienced tradesman and estimators. I can easily get users trained quickly on it. Highly recommended for the small and large companies out there.

I would like to see a a better way to keep take off lines organized and maybe implement a takeoff check list that is connected to each circuit. These would be an improvement and the current state is still very capable.

I really like the effectiveness and feature quality of the software. It is light and yet so powerful. I also like the low pricing.

Sometimes the data takes a while to load but I believe they have solved the issue in recent times. It is nice overall and I recommend it.

Amazing customer support, from initial setup to customized solutions. It is great to have the flexibility to manually create drawings & takes offs , or import shop drawings and have the AI count devices.

Navigation took a little getting used to.

By far the reason for my satisfaction is the on-boarding experience with Paul. He was patient with me in starting and spent a lot of time answering questions and making sure I was ready. Any issues I’ve had were met with instant resolution.

As a new contractor the biggest benefit of using this software is knowing your estimates are done fairly and accurately using real time material cost and industry standard labor books.

I’d like to see a layers feature where certain items can be toggled on/off making it easier to complete the take off. Best example would be toggling wire which can get pretty busy. Small thing but cleaning up items/assemblies and quick pad so unneeded things aren’t listed. It doesn’t really affect my experience but at the start I was a bit confused navigating the endless lists.
