Great for Residential Construction when Building Set Plans with Light Customization
Overall the experience was positive. IBSWIN was so incredibly willing to create custom functionality for us whenever we needed it. We adapted the system over time to work better for the way that we did business.
PROSI really liked the ability to create a new plan or subdivision based off of a previous one. We were able to copy over an entire set of options rather than having to start from scratch with each individual neighborhood and/or plan. It made it simple to find the subdivision and property you were looking for and then customize which floorplan was being built on which lot. It was very easy for the sales team to select the options that they were looking for and all in all it was fairly simple to create a custom option for an individual home as well. I also really liked the integration with webview. Allowing the subcontractors to log in to see the most up to date plans as well as their purchase orders all in one place was a huge time saver. This all being automatic rather than manual was something that saved hours of time.
CONSThe problem that I had most often is that while the copy function was nice, it could be problematic when you have the same option in multiple communities but different subcontractors doing the work there. The problem came in on the back end with purchase orders. The pricing for the customer carried over fine, but the POs would be off based on which subcontractors worked in the subdivision you were copying from. The copy function was also dangerous because it was very all or nothing, and with a few clicks you could undo months of work if you aren't careful. This is RARE, but it was definitely an issue. I always made sure to do a backup prior to doing any copying.
