Review of Payapps
Ii used payapps in my work it is quickly accessible software. instructions are very easily understandable. it is used to track the progress. payment is very secure.
CONSsome times account is blocked. couldn't fetch the details some time of traffic. I experienced server down problem also

Payapps Review
Great experience overall - as it really does save time overall, as i believe the wasting time in manual handling of emails/documents via the traditional methods of claiming has made it more of a breeze for the project teams and subbies alike to submit their progress claims.
PROSCloud based, instant shared portal of communication between sub and head contractors in relation to progress claim submissions, compliance documentation can be custom controlled, automatic payment schedules and notifications and direct integration with Jobpac (ERP)
CONSCertain edits of settings don't save as it needs to be pre-populated in a way that Payapps needs - but once this has been amended - even when amended - it doesn't allow you to make the changes on the fly - you have to exit out all together and restart e.g. the approval workflow settings screen. Having to explain to subbies and the project team that there is a cost chargeable to subcontractors - that is always an awkward conversation to have.

Paperwork made easy
Payapps have made managing the paperwork easy, customer service is also awesome.
CONSSubcontractors are not happy with the costs associated with the use of they usually get confused with the retention part of their claims. Retention release notification triggers need some more work.

Progress Claim Assessment Made Easy
Saves time, and helps control the claim process each month from one point of collection and avoids multiple claims coming in from different sources such as email, aconex, mail.
PROSThe fact that progress claim breakups can be easily uploaded via an excel spreadsheet and converted to the payapps system. And its very convenient to be able to upload supplementary information when assessing claims such as photos, drawings and other documents
CONSThe schedule of rates function does not work well because payapps.com make you put in a total contract value that the schedule rates will amount to. This is really a forecast, you should be able to not have to put in a contract sum on a schedule of rates contract. The software does not sync with Coins. It only syncs with Jobpac Connect and Cheops.

Efficient Platform
Currently, our Deed of Releases are not mapping the Principal correctly for each project. They print out with one specific Principal which we would like to have corrected in due course. Overall have high satisfaction on meeting the requirements for an efficient approval management system.
PROSThe integration of Payapps with Jobpac was a no brainer. The software has been beneficial in many aspects such as reducing time spent in the processing and approval workflow. It has turned our paper approvals into a paperless system which incorporates tracking to be able to see where claims are at at any point in time.
CONSWould like to see an internal communication system so that approvers and project teams can communication with each other specific to any particular item.

Payapps
I have used Payapps for 4 + years now and couldn't see a world where i didn't use it in the future
PROSPayapps saves me a day of compiling payment schedules & RCTI's each month through automation of the process. Payapps is also a great product to assist with tracking the financial position with the subcontractor through the duration of their works.
CONSWhen i first started using Payapps it could be glitchy with the costing system the company I was at was using. This was ultimately resolved. The initial conversation with Subcontractors to explain the mutual benefits of the system can be difficult. I find that they're generally on board & like it once they've used it.

An elegant solution to addressing SOPA required Payment claims and Payment schedules
CONSNot really too much to dislike, main issue is the second line of the window, which is a navigation bar scrolls up and disappears when scrolling, it would be far better for this line to remain.

Payapps saves me so much time as a Contracts Administrator!
I didn't think it would be so easy to review claims in my time as a Contracts Administrator. When I was first introduced to Payapps i showed all my other friends who are in the industry to flaunt my new software that i had the opportunity to use. Reviewing claims is so easy and allows the proper workflow procedures to be followed, as well as ensure that all relevant documentation is submitted and complied against. It is the dream program for CA's.
CONSThere isn't much that i dislike about this software, however, when reviewing certain claims, the reasoning for the claims can most of the time be cut off and it makes it hard to see what option you are selecting. I believe this is just a simple technical error that will be fixed in the near future.
Reasons for switching to Payapps
Started working at a new company, Payapps is just so much more user friendly and has much more features.

PayApps Review
Quick review and approval of monthly claims. Allows for easy collaboration between subcontractor, Site Manager and project manager to ensure all works accounted for.
PROSThe monthly claims feature is a great organisational tool to follow the completion of the project and any variations claimed by subcontractors. Its provides a clear layout with descriptions and documents available for quick review and approval.
CONSSetting up the project could be easier, creating a way to organise variations more clearly would help some project where the volume creates a lot of confusion.

Overall a very positive experience with the software
PROSThe efficiencies I gain in my role is huge! Previously without Payapps I would be required to spend 2 full days a month processing invoices and managing variation submission from Subcontractors. Now with Payapps I can complete all this work within 30 minutes MAX! Not to mention everything is easily calculated and tracked by a computer so a lot less room for error
CONSI have had issues changing the Claimant Email address in the past which can become frustrating. I also believe a detailed summary of exactly where the Subcontract 100% claimed is at. It is hard to tell if the current pending invoice is included in this or not currently.

It handles all of the authorisation process. When Accounts receive the invoice, we know that it has been fully authorised.

Can not find any pro. Not a very good payment system to use.
CONS- Hard to read the summary. - linking variation with cheops missing all the time, therefore requires re-linking. - can not split 1 cheops variation into several cost code. Payapps created separate variation for each cost code - can not put any comments into claim line item if claimed or approved as $0 value - Hard to find the location of attachment. Attachment can be hidden in a few different areas - Draft PDF payment schedule hard to read, it has too many watermarks - Unable to bypass previous approver / reviewer (can not approve if the 1st reviewer is away, on leave or sick)

Payapps Review
Tracking the progress of claims, previous claims and the items of works complete is very easy and clear. Explaining the reasons for pay reduction with the attachments is done well which allows to relay infomation clearly to the SC
CONSStatutory declaration was always uploaded incorrectly regardless of where it was uploaded. A signable/fillable statutory declaration on payapps would be preferrable to allow for easibility in review and assessment.

Contract Adminstration
Payapps allows claims processing to be done in a timely fashion with reminders of outstanding claims ensuring claims are processed within allowable deadlines.
PROSusing Payapps simplifies the claims approval process and reduces the amount of processing incoming invoices saving valuable time
CONSThe most challenging aspect of the software is getting subcontractors to provide contract breakdowns in a format that is easily adapted to be uploaded and form a meaningful claim schedule. This would be the most time consuming aspect of using the software especially on large contracts.

Great System - Easy to Use
just have to watch your dates - especially around end of financial year. System works from Submission dates and cannot be changed. - A valuable lesson learned
PROSEverything is visible and very straightforward to use.
CONSI only use this software to download the RCTI's and Schedules to import manually to Jobpac - would really like this to be automatic.

CONSMy suboncontrcators complain about cost and the amount of documentation they need to load against each and every project, why can't this be company specific and automated.

Payapps is a very useful tool, however is not well received by subcontractors
It is very easy and very fast to assess the claims, however the software should be more subcontractor friendly.
PROSClaims do not take longer, easy way to avoid
CONSSubbies have to pay the subscription, and the majority complaint. Additionally, there is no option to re-send the payapps invitation, so after set up subbies in payapps, one month after if they are going to claim, many of them has already lost the e-mail, I have had to contact payapss team several times to ask to resend the invite.
