The easiest and most robust system I have used.
Ariba is great in the sense that it combines so many features in the same spot - purchasing, vendor maintenance needs, accounts payable, travel and time sheets. Quick links are super convenient and it keeps great history of everything you did. Search function is very detailed as well.
CONSAriba is slow at times and it logs you out in the middle of something. And even though it saves what you were doing, it's annoying that you have to log in again.

Ariba is a very good CLMS. It reduces time and effort. Its a user friendly system.
Ariba Contract Management system gives an easy and smooth platform to route contract for drafting, negotiation, review, approval, signature and archiving. It helps in saving time and effort. Review and approvals are very easy as approvers can provide their approval through emails.
PROS1) Ariba reduces time and effort and the best part is that the approvers can provide approval through the email and they don't need to go in the system to do it. 2) Reporting and monitoring is very easy in Ariba. You can take out customize your report. Contract Facilitator can setup automatic notification 3) Contracting steps are very easy and the system is user friendly
CONSAt times the searching functionality is slow and it keeps loading the pages for some time. However overall its good.

Ariba Contracts : Great connecting piece at not-so-great price
The time to award long term rate contracts after the auction reduces sharply. Also, potential risks from contract expiration are averted with the use of Ariba Contract Management
PROSThe integration with Spend Management and Sourcing modules is seamless and helps create rate contracts with suppliers at the click of a button. The reminder functionality is also standard.
CONSThe price. This was a much awaited piece from ARIBA for most customers using Sourcing and wanting to have an entire procure to pay. There is no singled out cost for this module but overall project implementation costs are pushed higher due to this and the functionality is pretty standard and cheaper off the shelf solutions available in the market
Reasons for switching to SAP Ariba Contracts
Since we were migrating to the entire ARIBA suite, we chose to include this piece as well for seamless integration

I have been using Ariba for almost 3 years ,it is easy and simple to use and easily understandable

Great product and service for any company in procurement
Awesome product for any company that works in procurement and keeps track of contracts and payment processes.
PROSAllows our customers to keep track of all contracts with associated vendors and staffing firms. User friendly.
CONSVery detailed user interface. Occasionally I will lose track of my progress and have to start over from the beginning.

It is a great tool for contract management, not so user friendly though
It is a very comprehensive and useful tool for controlling the requests of contracts by business users (Directors control), it allows for the distribution of the contract drafting workload among the legal department, it also allows to draft, negotiated, execute and backup agreements, following a process that involves the user, the other party and the lawyer. I highly recommend it.
PROSIt is very customizable, allowing us to determine the fields we need filled out for every contract request, the process and point persons for approving every request and the contract drafting workflow process tailored to our needs. After customizing it, it is a very complete and useful work tool for requesting an drafting contracts.
CONSIt is not very user friendly. As a lawyer, it is the tool I use on a daily basis for the drafting and execution of contracts, but the business areas that request the contracts (which use it only for requesting the contracts they need) have a very hard time learning their way around the tool.

Great for Reporting / Bad for Usability
It has a ton of auditing and reporting features but pretty unintuitive to use. I wouldn't recommend this again
CONSI think it needs to be more intuitive and take a page out of design from mobile web pages or apps. A lot of the options are hidden and take too many clicks to get to.

Not a complete solution fot contract management. Is not a full lifecycle management system

It works
Our experience is over and over when purchasing goes for bid and has never been an easy experience.
PROSOur team is challenged to find what we like most. We use the system when responding to proposals, contracts, bids, etc.
CONS'Clunky' - feels antiquated, our team says it feels like a greenscreen.

Its a universally used platform but have to undergo a lot of pain before becoming expert
It has helped me to grow in my job which involves a lot of contract management. It helps me search for old contract info and dig up information which otherwise isnt very easily available.
PROSI really like the way it has been designed to handle all contract documents and managing the different stages of the negotiations and contract approval process.
CONSSearching something in Ariba is really difficult and painful. It is difficult to learn as to how to navigate through all its features to accomplish what you want to do. Its not very apparent.

OK for contract management, not great. Seems a bit clunky and perhaps better designed for procurement activities.
CONSThe document importing process can be rough. Sometimes system is slow to respond. Good, not great.

Has everything but you might need to be an expert to use it
My overall experience has been good as once you learn to use it you get used to it and its very useful.
PROSI liked the ability to execute all tasks related with the contract in the very same project workspacem
CONSAriba is very difficult to use and you need very specific job aids to be able to navigate through it

Best system for managing your contracts End to End
Its a great software that covers end to end contract management. Saves a lot of time .
PROS1. It can be integrated with docusign, that makes things even more faster. 2. Single repository for all contracts inside your organisation. Search any contract from anywhere. Honestly this avoids any duplicate creation of contracts. 3. Since all contracts can be stored electronically on Ariba, can avoid lose of contracts and manage easily. 4. Dashboard saves me. Dashboard will have contract status such as expired contracts , expires with in a month or so. You can take necessary actions by seeing the dashboard.
CONSThe system is not user friendly. Navigating to particular item is quite difficult. Requires more practice.

I can not say I like anything about this software including customer service, no one even speaks our language

Not a fan of this program as a straight Contract Management system. Felt clunky and awkward at times. Has decent reporting functionality and good for coding metadata, but I would opt for another system given the choice.

Sofware is versatile based on your needs as a supplier or buyer
As a supplier of professional services, Ariba Contract Management helps keeps our bidding organized and we use it to track orders, invoices and payments on jobs. It is also easy to use from a supplier perspective in that you can generate supplier registration questionnaires electronically, instead of having suppliers submit responses to questionnaires, RFPs, or statements of qualifications via paper.
CONSIf you want to retain or access your documents through the software, you need to pay an extra fee to do so. If you don't pay the fee, then after 18 months your documents are automatically deleted.
