Consensus - The Perfect Wingman

It has been great and the company truly listens to its customers and lets them dictate the roadmap.

PROS

Easy...the ability to track what the prospect has watched and where they have clicked back to rewatch. Then we are able to tailor a more specified demo to really focus on the prospects true interests.

CONS

Granted it is a robust piece of software, but that sometimes comes with the difficulty of navigating to the pertinent information the user is looking for.

Reason for choosing Consensus

The end user experience and data. We felt our prospects would be better suited using Consensus and the stats provided were much more detailed.

Consensus is a game changer for sales organizations

The business process that Consensus is really helps with is the ability to understand what the client is focusing on, and helping reference the value to the client. It's so impactful. I have saved so much time on demoing to clients, because they are able to watch a Consensus prior and have a greater understanding before the demo (live demo.) This allows the client to have a understanding walking into the live demo, and then they are able to focus on more niche or specific questions to get answers, and overall speed up their decision making process.

PROS

Everything about Consensus is amazing. The ability to customize what you are planning to import, and once you are creating a presentation is truly amazing. I love the ability to upload anything in concensus to be able to share with clients, and the ability to see what they have watched and receive an audit trail. It allows sales representatives to also see the product, and ensure they are actually reviewing the content. It helps relay the value of the product to clients for purchase, and sales representatives to allow understanding of the product.

CONS

I wish it was easier to send multiple Consensus demos/videos to the same client at once. I also wish I could send it to multiple people in the same client profile verse having to do it individually. However, once you send to one client then I am able to populate the client demographic information for other videos/demos.

Reason for choosing Consensus

Consensus has the ability to make the entire process much easier and streamlined than any other product. Webex was extremely limited, and Consensus allows for much more variety when creating, importing and generating content.

Very good with potential to be even better

PROS

I find Consensus to be a goodway of adding value within a sales cycle with certain customers that are either difficult to secure 1 to 1 time with, or that I don't yet have an extensive relationship build up with yet. Its also a very good way of further pre qualifying a customer before a more in depth demonstration.

CONS

The biggest challenge that i face with Consensus is engagement statistics. Now this can be broken down into several reasons, such as when i'm positioning a consensus demo in the sales cycle, the intro videos that i use, or even the customers that i'm targeting. None the less, if i can increase the engagement statistic i feel the tool will become essential.

The ultimate force multiplier

Great so far, and this is because of the 1:many impact using consensus can have with content across go to market teams. It's ease of use makes adoption of content creators high, and with the content in the library it is amazing to see the impact those pieces of content have on creating and advancing sales opportunities. Highly recommend!

-Ease up Upload new Videos -Ease of sharing with leads/contacts -Visibility to video consumption, real-time -Re-use across go to market teams -Fairly quick to learn / create first video

CONS

-limiting to share generically (as opposed to in context of a demo board). Would be nice to have a anonymous view mode. -video options a bit confusing at first (single vs standard vs advanced demos) -don't use the recording function much

Demo Library

We LOVE Consensus. We are a software company and more than 30% of our deals close without ever doing a demo because our prospects are able to see our software in Consensus and determine if it will work for them. This has greatly increased our sales velocity.

PROS

It has allowed us to build an extensive Demo Library that allows our prospects to determine if we are a good fit for what they are looking for.

CONS

The Dashboard could use some work. Hard to find older viewership data.

Reason for choosing Consensus

Consensus better fit what we were trying to accomplish. And we liked the Very Important, Somewhat Important, Not Important feature that allows our prospects to build out their own custom demo library.

Best Sales Tool I've Ever Used

PROS

The Consensus platform makes my life as a Sales Engineer so much easier. Any customer call I've had where they've watched the DemoBoard, I get to see the Demolytics in advance, the customer may have shared the demo to more people, we get the viewing statistics, but the best thing, they come to the call with me with specific questions, not wanting a demo. This speeds up the sales cycle so much.Additionally, the team at Consensus are amazing! Our Customer Success rep, [sensitive content hidden], is always available and always extremely helpful.

CONS

There is nothing to dislike. We have submitted a number of feature enhancements which are all in progress.

Consenus enables me to dive deeper with prospects

PROS

I like that Consensus allows me to cast a broader net without draining my time, it helps me win fast or lose fast, and it enables me to find new contacts at prospect accounts without directly asking for them. The demos are easy to share and my prospects have had good feedback about them. I'm able to dive deeper on calls, spending more time on specific pain points and how our solution solves for those pain points, without taking as much time from my prospects as I would if we did a demo live.

CONS

The only downside to Consensus is that you are not doing a live demo and hearing your prospects' questions in real time. However, you can adjust your process to follow up quickly after the alert that they viewed the demo to engage and answer questions that may have come up. I also always coordinate a follow up call before I send the Consensus links so I know we have time on the calendar to dig in deeper to the solution and how it can solve their specific pain points .

Great product, does what I need it to do

PROS

The best thing about consensus is the integration with salesloft, the easy of use to be able to send a demoboard to a prospect immediately after getting off the phone with them is critical.

CONS

Would like to put a disclaimer about this as I brought it to someones attention and there is a way around it, and I will have it fixed soon. But the way we have it currently set up we have to individually type in the prospects information and it can take a couple of minutes that are crucial when sending these videos out immediately after getting off the phone.

Consensus the future of Sales

Great - Enjoy the use and transparency of the product.

PROS

Great for customer engagement and discovering stakeholders not previously mentioned in calls and other conversations. The insights allow for us to focus on what's important to the customer in further demos.

CONS

As set up for me in Salesforce it's not as easy to connect sales insights to my opps. I believe this is in development soon.

This product saves me time!

PROS

Ease of use. I am one of the sales engineers, so I spend a lot of time on demos. This allows our prospects to see the solutions we offer, on their own time. This means I can spend my time doing more tailored demos!

CONS

It takes a bit to setup but its fairly straightforward.

Personalised demo's at your fingertip

PROS

I like the ease of use and the ability to tailor demos for prospects, I also like the ability to add a personalised video to demos and track views.

CONS

No real cons, although because demos are not live I don't get real time feedback.

The future of selling

Prior to Consensus we would send out a YouTube link or a Vidyard link and just hope that the end user would view it. We had no idea if that was the case and were left in the dark. Analytics matter so much and that's what Consensus provides our sales reps. It's also a great customer experience too - the personalization a sales rep can do goes a long way!

PROS

Buyers love seeing demos as early as possible in the sales cycle and Consensus is a powerful tool to engage buyers early on. Consensus has also proven valuable in other areas of the deal cycle - really anywhere a customer is engaging on their own. Powerful analytics provide great insights to help you better qualify, know when to engage or try another approach!

CONS

Consensus isn't a perfect solution but I appreciate the new features that are being rolled out. Initial training can be confusing - and I don't love how you can't send directly from Consensus - this proves confusing to end users. I also don't enjoy how it's an org wide setting to notify the video seller before a video is shared. These are just small nitpicky complaints but this software overall has quickly become our go to video tool.

Consensus User Through & Through

Consensus has been the #1 tool in helping me close new business in my role as AE at Salesforce. Every single business that I have created & sent a Consensus demo to has had great things to say about the tool. They love how they are the driver of their own demo. They love how they can get exactly what they are looking for based off the answers they provide us. They love how because of Consensus, they dont have to wait 1-3 days for a demo because they can get it 30-60 MINUTES after our first meeting!! Consensus being able to show us where these customers spent their time on the demo also helps me knowing how to follow up and what to hone in on when needing more information on their interest in Salesforce.

PROS

I love everything about Consensus!! I have been on the pilot team since day 1 and have been a HUGE Consensus user, always on top of the leaderboards, and always making consensus demos every single day.

CONS

I'm not sure if I have a con ... but I guess my "least" very thing about the tool is how you can easily get lost in the number of demos that have been created.

Brilliant Piece Of Software

Consensus has revolutionised our business and the way we work. We are able to interact with more prospects with a higher level of data insight to how leads/prospects are then engaging with the information we are sending across which we then use to further bolster our sales process.

PROS

Its ease of use is a great positive as it has been straight forward to roll out across our entire business and thus take-up has been high

CONS

Consensus is an exceptionally interctive piece of software both to use and when a client recieves the video format. It would be great if there were alternative 'play button' icons to increase the interactiveness of the video

Best way to gain a contacts attention!

UI leaves a little to be desired especially when first learning to use but overall very pleased.

PROS

I love how using consensus gives a unique touch to most contacts that gains attention more easily and more frequent. Using Consensus thumbnails has made huge impact in the number of contacts that view and respond to emails without a call first.

CONS

Working in the analytics world Consensus can have too many customized use cases for AB testing that can be at the expense of productivity, but its a welcome problem to have.

Consensus saves me so much time

PROS

Consensus saves me so much time and has helped me expediate sales. Depending on the client, a private demo may still be needed but Consensus will sometimes eliminate a private demo from the process. Or it gives the client the chance to prepare more questions to allow the private demo to be more effective. I also use it as a training tool to send a demo post-sale and help retain the business. If I didn't have Consensus, my quota would need to be lower because I wouldn't have the time to do as much prospecting that I do without it.

CONS

I wish that I could upload my own demos into Consensus instead of needing to wait for our admin to upload. Yes, I can create my own personal intro for a demo but that part isn't important. There are other products I would like to demonstrate that aren't available at this point.

Great marketing tool!

Some of the business related issues was the amount of time our demos would take up, with Consensus, the demo is prerecorded for the client saving us tons of time on our calendars.

PROS

Great way to present your product to the end user with timely video content that get's the message across in a very precise and clear manner.

CONS

No real cons except that there is only 1 link that allows to capture meta data when mktg the product through social media sites. Perhaps more emphasis on this would be great.

Allows customers to see the solution for them. Reduces live demo times which will free up the product experts to focus on larger opportunities

Easy to use. Allows you to track which part of the video has been watched - allowing you to see which bits the customer is engaged with

Does not auto-complete so if you are sending more than one video out to the same customer, you have to type all of their details in each time

Consensus is a Big Win

PROS

This product allows for sending product demos quickly and concisely in consumer emails/follow-ups. It also allows me to see what customers have opened/viewed/interacted with the demos, so I can have a better understanding how well they have researched the product. It is a massive time saver, and allows my customers to get a detailed look at our product with just the click of a button.

CONS

Sometimes the interface is glitchy and will not allow certain videos to import on Gmail, but this is usually fixed with a restart.

Very cool tool to help sales orgs scale

Great tool. Sales reps enjoy it because of the analytics they receive back. SE's enjoy it because it keeps them from doing out of the box demos with unqualified prospects.

PROS

Really enjoy the analytics the tool provides. Being able to see who watched demos we sent (or didn't watch) how long they watched, how many times they re-watched and the additional stakeholders they shared the content with, is invaluable to a sales team.

CONS

Not a big fan of the reporting UI. Could use locks on filters/better UI

The software is extremely easy to use, and it sends you automatic notifications when your contact person started watching your content,Besides that, if there are other important stakeholders, the contactperson has the chance to forward the video to other parties,It makes the information that my team has about (potential) clients so much more valuable than just waiting and expecting your contactperson watches your content

CONS

When I open the email with the stats, this automatically opens in a different browser, and I have to type in my username and password,This might also have to do with the settings of my own company :)

Consensus Demo Video

its a useful tool to create awareness about the product and at the same time lets me gauge the customer interest in the product

PROS

very intuitive. lets me know what parts of the demo has been viewed. lets me know if the demo has been shared.

CONS

the layout can be a bit intimidating for some people. could be confusing when navigating through the different topics. the videos could be more better edited

Great time saving tool

PROS

The ability to send prospects more than just a youtube link but an actual demo that will fit their needs, then being able to gauge if they're serious buyers with actual viewer data

CONS

sometimes it can be a pain to have to re-enter emails and names of prospects, but honestly not a problem as it only takes a second when sending demos via the email pluginReview collected by and hosted on G2.com.
