Event Check-In is the best
Event Check-In is so easy to use and great for checking people in at a big event and keeping track of everyone.
CONSSometimes it glitches people's names don't show up on the list and sometimes the software can be hacked and people add their name to the list that should not be at the event.

Strong platform but room for improvement
All registration data and info are in one spot. Integrates with the Touchpoint app but it seems like there needs to be some fine tuning with this connection since we had issues with agenda created in Certain being displayed properly in the app.
PROSEasy to manage everything in one place from registration forms and website, session creation, speakers, emails and more. We also use Certain Touchpoint for our event app and the data pulls over from the platform to the Touchpoint CMS which is nice. Overall lots of options for creating attendee types, registration codes, etc. There are actually a lot of features that the platform has that I wish I would have known about before opening our event registration since we have a complicated registration structure and allocation system (ie. registration approval vs an automatic registration once you hit submit).
CONSNot necessarily easy to use beyond the basic reporting and setup. Some features need at least basic HTML knowledge and I felt like the platform had a few tech bugs. For example, I had to edit an email template three times with same edits because when I would click to save there would be a random server error and I would have to start over again. This can be frustrating. Also, the email template editor is a bit buggy and formatting is hard to keep in check because of the HTML. Even pasting plain text didn't always help and it took a lot of support from the Certain team to help clean up the formatting and template. There are also a few small feature improvements that could be made such as the ability to schedule sessions for any amount of time you want. Our closing remarks were only scheduled to be five minutes in length and the platform does not allow five-minute durations! Also, there is no way to manually register attendees to sessions in bulk through the platform. With our event, we register people and then assign specific tracks to them but to manually assign after the fact you have to upload an excel spreadsheet with every session and all the registration ID's that need to be assigned to that session. It is extremely cumbersome and manual and not feasible when you have 20 sessions per person you need to assign. We ended up having to just create more attendee types and assign that way.

Great customizable platform
The way our organization manages and reports on data is unique. I love that Certain was able to be customized in order to meet those needs!
CONSCertain is a smaller organization so when there is an issue with the customized solutions there are only a small handful of people who know how to resolve the issue.

Certain Software has come a long way
They are a very experienced company with a lot of capabilities and a wide variety of software and resources.
PROSWe like all of the different features offered through Certain. We have used them for quite a long time, and appreciate all of the capabilities for event management.
CONSI suppose if I have to pick something, I would like to see even more customer service. They have come a very long way with customer support, but sometimes it takes me a little longer to get questions resolved.
