Excellent Product
Excellent product. Highly recommend to other colleagues in higher education.
PROSThe platform is easily integrated into our daily activities, and provides a quick learning curve for users. This platform's ease of use allowed for a very quick end user adoption.
CONSSome limitations were noted in the use of the survey features. There needed to be a more robust and/or/if logic flow for some of the templates. We used this to product for a daily wellness check due to COVID-19. We found it wasn't as user friendly as we preferred.

RAVE Alert for Colleges?
RAVE offers cost effective solutions for mass notification. They are competitive with other alerting companies and offer a product that works. We have not experienced interruptions in service. We have some concerns with using RAVE but overall we are happy with the product.
PROSI like the pricing model. We don't pay per call fees and the pricing packages are straight forward and easy to understand.
CONSThe fields are still very much geared toward college campuses or educational settings. There are questions that city's or even other type industries wouldn't use. They also tout their 911 feature that allows dispatch to see information for anyone subscribed. The problem is that if your dispatch center does not subscribe to Smart 911 then dispatch will not see their information. RAVE does not offer platforms that don't promise that to anyone inputting their information therefore, it gives people a false sense of hope. I've voiced this concern and was promised it would be addressed but after several years subscribing to RAVE they have not changed that.

Reasons for switching to Rave Alert
I-info charged high fees per call/text/ email etc. sent. Their pricing structure is confusing and not straightforward. They rely on customers to build their system by paying for features that they may not currently offer and have a waiting list of features that may or may not eventually become available.

Rave Time Out
How quick the notifications are received
CONSI don't like how the system times itself out. I find myself continuously having to log into the system during my work shift. Also the reports are not good. I need to run a report/stats on how often we send emergency maintenance

Great Product for Higher Ed
Template customization and integration with many platforms to maximize the dissemination of messages.
CONSI have had issues with logging in several times if I logged out while in a different department. It seems this could be streamlined for users who have access to mulitple sites.

Effective emergency communication and notification tool
We have mass notification within our agency which decreases off duty response time. Our community appreciates knowing when an emergency is happening in their neighborhood.
PROSThis product is much more user friendly then the two products we used before. We have had excellent support and recommend this product to other agencies

Easy to use to get emergency notifications out
We use Rave Alert for emergencies only, including automated weather alerts. It works well autoamted and set on it's
PROSEasy to set up alerts and send in emergencies. Templates can be turned on or off for users with the new role based access control, which is a great way to limit accidental messages.
CONSSnap send has some limitations on flexibility, but easy to work around.

Great Multi-use System
We are able to manage over 300 Healthcare and Emergency Management agencies through our system. We can quickly and easily obtain impact information, census data, and impact assessments through Rave with very little effort on the adminstrative side. The additional add-ons such as Collaborate and Guardian only expand our capabilities and create new ways for us to reach out and interact with our partner agencies.
PROSThe multitasking capabilities, the ability to utilize multiple platforms, and the ease of use are easily the top three "likes" for this software. However, without the robust support system that Rave has in place is probably the most valuable aspect of this software. I've been fortunate to work with the Rave team from sales to setup and they have an amazing team that is responsive and quick to work with us regarding solutions.
CONSThere's not much to dislike about the software; mostly it's personal preference accessibility items.

Price vs. functionality was a huge plus for Rave Alert, we were able to leverage what we needed for a fair and reasonable price.

Great Product
This software allows us to quickly and efficiently communicate with our staff, participants and families to deliver important information. It has increased our productivity, advocacy and fulfillment of requirements.
CONSThe only feature we consistently wish the product had was the abilty to respond within the alert to a specific person rather than to create a new alert. Having to do this feels clunky and not as professional as we would like.

Emergency Notifications, It's bulletproof. Works every time we need it.
CONSCannot group alerts, that is such low-hanging fruit that I can not believe that it's not a feature. It's not intuitive for new users. User rolls are a mess.

Been good overall.
PROSOnce familiar the steps aren't that difficult.
CONSUsing it on the iphone. Where the new platform is better it's still hard to edit templates on the phone. I do wish there was a spell checker in the subject line (that might have gotten fixed with the new organization.)

RAVE Use
I like that the chat function has such a quick response. There is not a long delay between users which is great in emergency situations and critical incidents. The mapping is also extremely helpful when attempting to physically locate a user. The templates are fantastic. I use them constantly for sending emergency and non-emergency notifications, and having the ability to adjust them as needed makes it my go to every time.
CONSUser Directory could be better for us. Also, the time out of the session causes me to have to keep checking it to make sure I'm still connected. Logging in over and over again takes a lot of time out of my day. There should be an option to stay logged in the dashboard view.

RAVE Alert
It is easy to use. As a software administrator, it is easy to maintain. We send a file to add email notifications for all students. We add office phone and email for employees. Students and employees are encouraged to add their cell phone number for alerts. People are able to add additional phone numbers for parents and/or other family members for alerts. Parents of students living away from home seem to like this initially.
CONSAs an administrator, I sometimes have to read/respond to text from people who reply to RAVE alerts. We have a separate location that we had to incorporate alerts for.

Rave Review
The software is easy to use and user friendly. Switching to Rave was a smooth process and have had no complaints since. We use this regularly for internal messaging as well as for emergency notifications.
CONSThe ability to do voice calls is an extra option, whereas the vendor we had before allowed voice calls.

The set up and roll out was very easy! The technical customer service was extremely responsive and focused on helping us address the issue.

Rave Alert is a great product.
This is a great system for mass notifications. We've had very little issue with the system.
PROSIntegration was easy to set up. We did a quick implementation of the system and it was very easy. Our Police department who manages the system report that the system is very easy to use
CONSSince I don't administer the system, this is hard for me to answer. I've not heard of any issues.

RAVE Alert Review
Overall experience in use, and customer service has been good.
PROSWe are a small college campus with a smaller enrollment. The sofware is pretty easy to use and deployment of alerts is pretty simple for the administrators using it.
CONStemplates and alerts sent by text and email can be a bit confusing to set up at times. We don't use it regularly so that is part of the issue.

System is not as convenient as desired
I came into a company that has paid for the system since 2019, and because of the resources required to setup and manage Rave, it had never been setup/implemented as a full-functioning emergency alert system for the entire company. I can understand why. I learned the system only to have it changed a month later (our account had not yet received the 2020 update.) I finished training senior management on using the system after this update, only to have the system updated with changes again, and we've been made aware that this will be updated AGAIN in early 2022 because of the FCC requirements for non-emergency notifications. This isn't how we want a system to work that we intended on buying, implementing, and only ever having to add and remove employees to it.
PROSThe system has the capabilities desired for emergency and general notifications, which we use it for.
CONSThe convenience of maintaining the system is not there. Aside from adding and removing people, it can be time consuming to manage. It appears that with the FCC requirements for non-emergency notifications this is only going to get worse.

A good workhorse
Generally speaking a good emergency services feature but I wish it went further
PROSRAVE alert gets the word out fast and was first-to-market (in our case) with mass texting/email capabilities.
CONSDevelopment since our integration has stagnated and I wish we could use this more for targeted marketing communications

Solid with Options
Alert notifications sent out seem to be consistent and reliable.
PROSEasy to trigger notifications. Good options, if you need, for multiple venues for disseminating alerts.
CONSUI look and feel are present, but basic. Template creation could be more intuitive. Need a bit more technical know how to manage.

A great way to provide emergency communications
This was a good change from our previous platform. It has been incredibly easy to use.
PROSThe system is simple to use. The first few times I had to send a school closure notice, I was nervous that it would be complicated but it wasn't. I was able to deliver the alerts flawlessly in very little time.
CONSI wish I could send slightly longer texts or multiple texts for longer updates.
