Great software, amazing support
In one word, excellent. I appreciate them continuously working with us and providing ongoing support and training.
PROSThe software flows very easily for our front line staff making charting easy. Additionally, when bringing on new users, it flows well and we have found a decreased training time necessary to be able to pick up on where to chart documents and software utilization. More so even that the software though, what distinguishes Hospice Tools from competition in my opinion is the customer support. They continuously check-in to see if we have needs, they are responsive when we need assistance, and they continuously update the software to meet the needs of our organization. The entire team is professional and I could not recommend this company more, both for it's software and it's people.
CONSIf we ever find we have a need to fit our needs, we talk to our client success representative who can connect us with the appropriate resources enabling the software to meet our needs.

I felt the representatives at Hospice Tools were the most genuine and most in line with the mission and vision of our organization. The ongoing support they offered and assured when discussing their product reassured us, and in our time with them they have lived up to and exceeded my expectations for them. I like that it is easy to use, the cost is good, the billing is great, and the ticket responses are timely.
CONSNot able to schedule and have notes attached to schedule department so we can run reports to see what documentation is missing. *****more people wound consider this software if it had the same scheduling privileges as axxess and kinnser.(wellsky).

Good. Initially confused about the medication adding and removing but figured it out.

If you use our mobile apps, you can open a wound document and take a picture of the wound in the document rather than taking a picture and uploading it into the document. Additionally, all the text boxes do allow for talk to text functionality. You can download our apps from the App or Play stores for either Android or iOS devices. Promised certain features and they have never been available
Will definitely NOT renew my contract - system is just as bad as previous company I used
PROSAccess from any device. Can use in the field as long as you have internet access.
CONScannot schedule out patient visits, cannot make corrections for clinician to review, assessments are not complete, very vague pages per section.

I believed the sales guy who promised all these features. The contract states pretty much covers them if the sales rep offers a certain feature, they aren't responsible.

After seeing your review I checked with the success team and they report that despite their best efforts you have not gone through a single training session. Out of 70+ 3rd party reviews yours is the only one not 4 stars and almost all are 5 stars. Trying to figure out an EMR entirely on your own, even one as easy to use as Hospice Tools, is going to be frustrating. The points you list are all available: 1. cannot schedule out patient visits - we have scheduling with multiple views and filters & updates to frequencies too. 2. cannot make corrections for clinician to review - Documents can be amended and we have mentor mode for comments and approval of docs. We do not allow you to chart someone else's visit. 3. assessments are not complete, very vague pages - the documents are all customizable and we can add docs. Any "vague" language can be changed. No system is ever perfect and we keep improving, but without any training it will be hard to succeed.

Great Customer Support
Amazing - highly recommend. Very responsive and helpful. Go above and beyond. Super user friendly. Reporting is awesome!
PROSI am inexperienced and both [sensitive content hidden] took time out of their busy schedules to go above and beyond to help educate me beyond the use of Hospice Tools. They are both wonderful!
CONSWe are using it for private care as well as hospice and since they specialize in hospice services, we don't always get what we need for the use of private home care.

Flexible and willing to work with a very tight timeframe for implementation.
Reasons for switching to Hospice Tools
Not happy with NetSmart. Was not user friendly and nickle and dimed you for everything. Hospice Tools isn't like that. If you need training, they offer it. Netsmart wanted to charge us $6,000 plus travel to provide additional training to new users.

Hospice Tools is User Friendly.. Even Hospice volunteers can use it!
Overall its been amazing! The ease of downloading reports and allowing volunteers to be able to enter in their own documentation is very nice.
PROSThe ease of access, and the ability to change things.
CONSI feel that the Volunteer Coordinator part of it can be better.

Started a new job here at BTH , so it was nice to have something new to do my job more affective.

Hospice Tools Review
Overall, Hospice tools is easy and convenient to use.
PROSMy most favorite feature about this software is how easy it is to use and does not require extensive training as it is "straight forward".
CONSI feel that a feature allowing us NPs to copy problems/diagnoses table from previous chart with one click would be a fantastic addition allowing us to chart faster.

HIGHLY Recommend!
Hospice tools is super easy to use and has made my workflow extremely efficient and organized. It allows everyone within the company to collaborate with ease. I can look up patient information and see notes from staff members in their respective field with the click of a button on my phone. All while feeling secure knowing the platform complies with HIPPA's security and privacy regulations. Additionally keeping track of my timecard and PTO is a breeze. I'm sure HR lovesthe timekeeper function as well because it keeps things well organized by having dropdown menus to select the category for the type of work I did and notes section if I want to write further details. Lastly, I LOVE that I do not have to maually track my mileage when traveling. I simply can enter the to and from destination either by address or even facility name and the app will calculate the mileage for me!
PROS- Super Easy to use - Streamlines Organization - Allows collaboration between Employees with ease - Helps me maintain my PTO and hours worked - Calculates mileage for me
CONSI have not had any issues whatsoever. My experience has been great!

From a Long Time HospiceTools User
Having been a user since its initial rollout, I appreciate how responsive the development team has been to user suggestions and growing needs. Many new features have been added, such as the ability to view the care team and their current visit frequencies from the eDocs Team tab, without having to open each IDG Update. As a Medical Records user, I like having the ability to upload a document from cloud storage, as well as my computer. Because HospiceTools is web-based with Apple/Android app support, it makes it easy to look up information quickly, as well as enter updates to eDocs and TimeKeeper.
CONSThe only frustrations I have experienced are related to product development, such as document uploading failing because of a programming glitch. These types of issues have typically been resolved quickly by Support.

Fairly easy to learn, which is good because we received no training
My tasks are suited to Hospice Tools' abilities. I appreciate being able to modify and print my reports before exporting them.
PROSI love my reports. They are customizable and easy to use.
CONSIn Notes you can see who wrote the note, when it was written, and if it was edited by someone. That would be a helpful ability on ALL of the Tabs.
Reasons for switching to Hospice Tools
Customer support was extremely slow to respond. Sometimes months later. Sometimes never. The updates were clunky and often had not been fully debugged. It was expensive.

Hi Susan, Thanks for the review! The reports are an excellent feature! Training is available and you and your team can set any disciplines training session anytime at no additional charge simply by clicking on your client success rep's meeting link. Aside from seeing who wrote and edited notes, you can track census related changes in the census log in intake and you can see who submitted or edited any doc in the chart. We don't show it next to each tab to prevent clutter and for most users it's not so relevant. I'm glad your experience with our support team and our updates has been so much better than your previous EMR experience and I'd recommend you take advantage of our training sessions. Thx!

Look no further, hospicetools software is the best
Easy to use overall. Best part is being able to look up all the same information on the go through the app as well as one the computer. One of the best features is the ability to search a phone number in hospice tools when I've missed a phone call from a patient or family member.
PROSWorking in the hospice industry for over 10 years my experience has taught me to focus on patient and family needs. Hospice tools allows for a user friendly experience where i can quickly meet the needs of my clients. Having the option to work on hospice tools just as easily as on the app is what I enjoy the most.
CONSOnly con that comes to my mind, is sometime I forget my password. Otherwise, that's it.

Best Hospice Software!
Overall hospice tools is a great system, especially compared to previous systems used at previous jobs.
PROSThe functions are very clear and well organized! It is easy to finding and organize information.
CONSI do wish the bereavement risk assessments auto populated the addresses/phone numbers. Also wish we could add Care Plans and they would save for later use. But this is a small edit. Overall it is a good system.

It has been very positive. I learn something new all the time when I have the free time to go into it and click on the different tabs.
PROSI joined our team in February of this year. I was not familiar with hospice or the software we use. I have found that it is easy to use for a beginner. The tabs are easy to use and the information is easily found in the software. I like that we can pull up information on past patients easily and find the information that is needed.
CONSI wish that if you spell something incorrectly or label it incorrectly that you are not able to modify it. You have to request to have it deleted and then upload it again.

Hospice Tools Review
This EMR system has significantly cut the amount of time that staff are documenting.
PROSI liked that the forms were customizable to our specific needs. The Hospice Tools team worked hard to get our forms exactly the way we wanted them.
CONSI would like to see the care plan section revised so its easier to update and document that the plan was revised or met and discontinued.
Reasons for switching to Hospice Tools
We liked that the system was specifically for hospice and not one that was a home health system with a hospice component. It is intuitive and very easy to use, the amount of time to train the staff on the new system was minimal. The Hospice Tools team is great to work with and very responsive.

Intuitive and Straightforward
Hospicetools is easy to understand. Rarely does a staff member need to repeat training on how to use the system.
CONSNo Electronic prescribing No patient search bar on EVERY page- so you can jump to any patient without first going to the "patients" tab.

CONSIn Timekeeper, it is difficult that you cant put in an exact name to find a patient quickly. Also when inputting time stamps, it often changes AM to PM (or vice versa) incorrectly.

Hospice Tools makes documentation user friendly
