TalentSorter is a good fit.
It's a been a good partnership. They have good support. The cost is very reasonable. With our package you're able to do unlimited numbers of assessments so that was a big factor. That was important if we were going to be able to administer it to every agent we were sitting down in front of. The tool isn't perfect but directionally, I'd sure rather have it than not have it. Annually we review our results and work to achieve better predictability. FitFirst has been good to work with in that regard and I think we'll continue to refine it. There's always those exceptions to the rule but by in large, it's been a consistent predictor of success. The good thing is the pattern is based on your individuals. I think that's important because there's definietely not a one size fits all. Being able to create a pattern from our most successful and least successful agents was important to me to identify the key attributes that define success for us, not someone else. Lastly, the assessment we do with TalentSorter not only measures someone's fit for the position but it also measures their critical thinking and reasoning abilities. It literally has them answer math and word problems. I like knowing this because if someone scores really high, I know they're going to be that person who will pick things up quickly, can think on their feet in a sale when it goes off script. Conversely, when someone scores lower, it will likely mean I need to be more patient with this individu
PROSWhat I like most about the tool is the information it gives you along with an interview guide to utilize that information. It will give you a break down of where the applicant scores against the pattern that you create from your best sales people or whatever position it is you're hiring to. Then with the interview guide, it gives you questions to explore those areas where the applicant deviates from the pattern. It really allows you to have a more balanced interview vs. just looking at someone's experience and education. When you start questioning them about their attributes, those qualities that make them who they are, you get to know that candidate on a much deeper level which hopefully helps you make a better informed decision.
CONSThere's not really anything I don't like about the tool. There's a few technical things that I wish it could do in terms of the admin console but they're negligible.

We only use TalentSorter
Saved time. Better interviewing.
PROSWe have been using TalentSorter for years. We like TalentSorter because it weeds out people that we may have actually hired in the past (and regretted hiring). New hires and top performers are impressed by our process and it helps build our brand and culture even more. We also like that TalentSorter helps us find the right people who fit in our culture, for real.
CONSLess attributes are being reported to us now than in the past, I miss the other ones we used to get. Also, I don't like that when we get an email that someone filled out TS, there's no link to that person's submission or TS at all. I have to get out of my email...open talentsorter...log in...find the new person...open it. That is the most frustrating part. Right now I get an email that says "Hi, Jane Smith has applied for the Account Manager position at Arcas Advertising. FitScore is 86. E-Mail Address: sdmundy_85@hotmail.com

The HR Time Saving Resource!
The features of this software save valuable time in the recruitment process. The new Beta version is user friendly and has additional features that have been an awesome addition - the Reference Getter has been great!
CONSThere does seem to be some limitations around tailoring the what is sent to the candidates for specific features. This is a slight con but overall still very pleased with the program.

Talent Sorter - Excellent Product for Value
It has approved the efficiency and speed at which we can hire and has improved our attrition rate.
PROSI like that all applicants are in one location, and the applications are easy to sort through. I can easily tell who should be a good fit and have all of the candidates ' pertinent information at my fingertips. I like how easy it is to post our positions to recruiting sites and I also like how candidates can be moved from one position to another.
CONSI do not have any cons at this time for this product.

Talent sort is a valuable recruiting tool
Has defintely helped in the selection process.
PROSTalent sorter has been integrated with jobvite which made it easy to use.
CONSThe way our company's job profiles were set up it wasn't easy to look at the Talent sorter results across all job profiles. This is information that would be important to me in our business where cross training is valuable. I also found it alot of time downloading all the reports.

Reason for choosing TalentSorter
Because they are based on fit for the job, company, team, and leaders, rather than a self-perception of the self.
