The DICOM Unifier is most useful to our organization as it allows us to create reliable and high-performance DICOM integrations between or organization and our clients. We are able to utilize the tool to create solution that cater to any and all DICOM challenge we face including tag morphing, prior image retrieval, annotations routing, among others. The workflows are easy to create and maintain, and the DICOM Systems support / professional services team is always available to assist in the creation of these solutions. The user interface is easy to understand for our support staff, allowing them to identify and solve problems real-time. Integration with any/all PACS and EMR platforms makes this an excellent "all-in-one" tool to solve most DICOM integration challenges.

When using the physical appliance, you need to ensure that you keep close track of the hardware support dates to maintain support and updates.

The Unifier product is wonderful. The CentOS platform is stable, support is great, and routing rules are easily configured if one is familiar with boolean logic.

Cost, it is a wonderful product but is a bit more expensive compared to some competing products.

DICOM systems has been an excellent application, which has help solve many of our HL7 and DICOM hurdles. Support has been very responsive and provides solutions for some of our more complex issues. DICOM systems leadership is top notch as well, we've had many changes in our environment and they've been very accommodating in restructuring our contracts.

Have been a DICOMSYS customer for 5+ years across multiple organizations. Their leadership team is very easy to work with and very accommodating to the clients needs. The appliance helped us get on our way to start ingesting client data very quickly. Installation and configuration has been quick and smooth. The customer support team is super responsive and very knowledgeable.

Excellent customer service. The support team is very responsive and always provides solutions to resolve the problem. The Lua interface allows building complex custom translations very easily. Once you get past the initial learning curve, you realize how configurable and customizable the application is.

Would like to see better documentation or more thorough user manual. The current one seems too short and concise. The alerting seems limited and wish it was more comprehensive and easy to create custom thresholds and setup email alerts.

The product is extremely dynamic. We couple it with our solution to manage moving data within complex imaging environments, and the DICOM Systems product is ready to tackle any scenario, regardless of complexity.

Admittedly I'm not educated on the latest capabilities, but it's always a challenge to use some intelligence to automatically find and move clinically relevant priors from disparate systems that use very different body part / study description labeling and implement it in a way that is not a nightmare for management in constantly evolving and growing imaging environments. I'm curious to know if DICOM Systems has more advanced intelligence to address this (in the past it's been a long alias list that can be defined and managed by admins)

We are very happy to have the software and also the good support of the company.

The software helped us already many time to troubleshoot the traffic of DICOM images and helped us to solve issues at other vendor software. Now we could prove where the issue was situated.

The user interface to see a specific images and the dicom tags of that serie/image could be maybe improved a little bit.

Overall, I have been very happy with DICOM Systems. The ability of the software to manage workflows allows us to create our own fixes for problems arising from having multiple modality vendors who don't have good support.

The best thing about this software is the flexibility and the support. Honestly, DICOM Systems has hands down the best support team I have ever worked with. Their responsiveness and their willingness to look into any sort of workflow we have is their most valuable asset.

The UI is powerful, but it does require a technical mind to create new rules. Support is always willing to help, but it would be nice if we could manage more on our own.

This is a great company and I have only had positive experiences with Dicom Systems.

The routers currently provide our facility with solid business continuity. I addition the routers automate the need for users to manually distribute DICOM studies to different destinations. Rock solid product that has never crashed or had issues (it just works all the time) since we implemented at our hospital. We have not taken advantage of every thing these routers can do.

I was disappointed that the enterprise viewer is not included with the purchase of the routers.

Fantastic product that has saved our IT department many hours and less intrusive on end users.

System allows you to adjust the modalities one time to point to the DICOM Routers and from that point it allows modalities to be moved around to destination. Easily see what has or hasn't routed also helps with troubleshooting having the ability to resend studies when they are still on the routers for troubleshooting is great!

None the product works as we wanted it to work and created efficiencies.

It has been outstanding. Technical support (in the rare instance that you need to use it) is prompt and professional. Sales/implementations also have been very smooth and they really seem to put the client first.

The platform is very efficient, stable and consistently performs well from technical standpoint. At the price point and quality, I don't think it can be beaten.

I wish they had something at a price point between the Rapid & Unifier for sites with 3-4 hospitals.

This has simplified our work when working with multiple vendors and different medical record numbers

The thing I least like is that not more hospital systems are using this product. We are getting our partners to switch over to DICOM Systems

The customer systems were not able to route and load balance DICOM traffic. Dicom Systems unifier was able to easily fulfill this void in the overall topology.

The implementation requirements were clearly defined, and the implementation team completed the installation in record time, without error. Post-install followup check was greatly appreciated.

I don't really have any cons to the product in thin implenetation.

Our organization has many MRI vendors. We utilized DICOM Systems as a tool to standardize the PACS display protocols. DICOM Systems update, rename, and normalize the MR series description names at the DICOM level regales of the MR manufacture.

Ability to manage Hl7 and DICOM flow from the same software as well as the ability to utilize information from HL7 and DICOM metadata to drive data normalization for the end systems. I also like the ability of the DICOM sys as a company to evolve with the industry and provide innovative solutions to real-world challenges.
