Goodby Square, Hello Zenoti!

The sales, transition, development and support team are PHENOMENAL! At no point in our interactions did I feel dismissed, unheard or misunderstood. I felt confident with them the minute I spoke with their sales team and I have that same confidence post launch. Any issues we had were addressed and resolved the same day!

PROS

Overall the software has many features and capabilities that can be easily customized to fit your business. This software is like the "Amazon" of booking software for salons and spas and a must have if you operate multiple locations. At present I can't and don't use all of the features but I love that I have the opportunity to grow into the use of the software and still expand my business in future. I loved the onboarding process the most as it had in depth training videos and how to articles on virtually every feature offered; and what I couldn't find or didn't understand the 24/7 support team addressed personally.

CONS

So far, I don't have any dislikes about the program. There's a very steep learning curve when it comes to using this software but with daily use, I'll become an old hand at it in due time. The amount of settings this system has is incredible!

Reason for choosing ZENOTI

Zenoti offered more capabilities, features and options for salon growth over their competitors. The final selling point was being able to customize the product to have the same look, feel, tone and vibes of my brand and be easily integrated into our web based current systems.

Reasons for switching to ZENOTI

I wanted to switch from Square to Zenoti because I needed to streamline the reservation experience for our clients and create a centralized database for our employees. Square is great if you are a solo practitioner but once you have employees and multiple locations you've got to switch to a more advanced and dynamic software created specifically for your industry. Since Zenoti is specifically for the spa and salon industry, it was a no brainer switch from Square, which I in my opinion prioritizes retail and restaurants clients.

Use in a MedSpa

It's been so-so. I have very mixed feelings on Zenoti overall. While it works better than our previous software (Aesthetic Record), it fell short of initial expectations.

PROS

There ARE a lot of features if you can figure out how to use them and set them up properly. We do also like that there is an App you can have for your MedSpa as well as an online booking portal.

CONS

Not many good integrations for MedSpas and everything is an add-on that you have to pay more for. Kind of clunky and dated and the checkout process (especially where coupons & discounts are concerned, and using membership benefits) and membership features are not the greatest. Also not very customizable or flexible to our specific business needs. The App you get (an have to pay extra for) is very bare bones and not much you can customize.

Initially it seemed like Zenoti had all the features we would need.

Aesthetic Record did not have very many of the features we were looking for. It was very bare bones and we needed a better POS system.

Zenoti review

PROS

Zenoti stands out as a very feature-rich platform and was the ideal choice for our plastic surgery and medical spa practice. It offers a great blend of modern features seen at spas and traditional EMR functionality. [sensitive content hidden]l were truly exceptional in assisting us with the setup of Zenoti. Their responsiveness and assistance at every stage of the process were invaluable. Additionally, their flexibility in scheduling virtual meetings outside of regular business hours was greatly appreciated.

CONS

It currently lacks electronic prescription submission capability; I've been informed that this feature is being developed. Given the extensive range of features, setting up Zenoti requires considerable time and effort. Fortunately, our implementation team guided us through the transition from our previous EMR and scheduling system.

not a good time

It is July 7th I signed my contract the beginning of April with Zenoti. I researched and I did demos with alot of companies and this had the most features relevant to my salon for the best price. it has been a complete and total nightmare. like I am so frustrated and I have already made the decision that it is not fixable and I need to switch. they insist on using Microsoft meets and doing video calls. their schedule and availability is so limited and basically on my 3 busiest days. it has never worked properly for one day. I am not computer illiterate. ive used a few programs in my 11 years working in salons and 3 years owning one. I made my own shopify website -- which isnt that hard but a lot of people cant. usually I am able to figure out the program I am using and do everything on my own. this is not the case. there are always issues and then ill go into the settings and try to figure out where the issue is and I end up detrimentally ruining more stuff that can't be taken back. which is insane and ive never had these issues on other softwares. my online booking has been down for a week twice. we get around 100 bookings a week that are usually online booking.. those have been lost appts or a massive amount of phone calls and messages for me and my staff. their zenoti university is lengthy and not helpful as the program is different if you're on computer/phone or tablet. essentially there are 3 versions you need to learn. if you're not a software programmer don't do it.

The ceo of the company called me and he was really nice and I think he honestly did want to help me and give me a better experience.. I dont think his team was able to. for all the features it was definitely the best price.

CONS

onboarding takes months customer service is in India and scheduling is limited with them. I would tell them an issue I had multiple clients having and they'd say they tried it and its working.. well half my clients are having this issue so something is up.everything is very complicated. schedule would look different depending on computer/phone/iPad

fresha didnt integrate with anything and we have packages of 5,10 etc and the checkout process caused me to lose a lot of money and give a lot of free tans away

Zenoti to scale operations

I have been thoroughly impressed with my company's Zenoti implementation process, led by [sensitive content hidden]. I was sincerely overwhelmed by the breadth and depth of upgrading from my Acuity-Zapier app patchwork to the comprehensive Zenoti solution. [sensitive content hidden] parsed and paced my deliverables with patience and intelligence. Their conceptual and technical expertise was most welcome and often inspiring as they performed seeming hat-tricks to reproduce my company's tailored membership programs, discount conditions and patient workflows. In moments when I was frustrated or confused, they were reassuring and quick to find workaround solutions for me. Software is only as good as its support. And for someone who has managed health care related information systems for over 20 years, this Zenoti team featuring [sensitive content hidden] blazed an unparalleled, superlative standard in both in terms of their effectiveness and friendliness. Thank you guys, thank you Zenoti.

Reason for choosing ZENOTI

Zenoti better fit my spa like business, whereas MindBody was first designed to manage classes. Zenoti is more contemporary, and can integrate with Zapier.

I needed a more comprehensive solution to mirror my operational complexity and minimize the space for administrative error.
