About NetForum Enterprise

NetForum Enterprise is a web-based association management system and is used by associations, nonprofits, and government agencies. The system includes modules for managing events, member profiles, membership levels, and dues. The event management module organizes attendees, speakers and facility details for different types of events. The software is capable of tracking payments, registrations, and cancellations. Event planners can set multiple event pricing structures based on attendees’ membership levels. More granular details such as audio/visual equipment, furniture rental, meeting rooms and times, attendance numbers and speaker rates are also manageable within the module. NetForum Enterprise for the Fundraising Client

We are a large, data-heavy, and highly customized enterprise client and have been satisfied with NetForum. There have been points where the system had performance issues because of the load of our data. However, the folks at Community Brands have always worked with us to resolve any issues we have experienced.

PROS

Use of SQL to create a logical and extremely robust structure Ease of adding extender tables and use of form designer Excellence of Client Services, Support, and Upgrade teams

CONS

Can require significant customization in the Fundraising and Moves Management Modules, especially if you have restrictions on your funds

Reason for choosing NetForum Enterprise

We chose NetForum because it was robust enough and flexible enough to allow us to customize as needed for our fundraising business model and data needs.

Reasons for switching to NetForum Enterprise

The previous CRM did not allow us full access to our data and was not robust enough to handle the volume of our data.

netForum is a good tool

netForum on the whole is a good tool, the credentialing module on the other hand is junk.

PROS

Works as advertised, and is a robust AMS, it's severely lacking in the Credentialing space.

CONS

Where the problem lies is with the vendor that built the module. They are horrendous, they lack any comprehensive test methodology or business analysis. They build new credentials for us and upon launch it breaks things upstream with existing credentials, and then they want to bill us to fix what they broke. Community Brands needs to manage their VARs better and hold them to a higher standard. The current vendor for the Credentialing module is terrible.

NetForum Enterprise

Overall, I believe this product is a robust, one-stop solution for small to mid-size associations. We have used it for the past 10 years, and

PROS

For a small association like ours, NetForum Enterprise has all the features and functions we could possibly need. It is relatively easy to use, has inbuilt AR functionality, Exhibit, Awards and Advertising management functionality. It also has the capability to be integrated with other systems using xWeb, which we have used quite extensively. We also have used the eWeb functionality and have 2 customer facing sites.

CONS

Upgrades have been a hurdle in the past, which is why we are still on an older version. The API we use is still SOAP based, at least on our version, there is very limited RESTful capability. It could also be more intuitive and expanded. The Sales module provided could have more functionality. We had to move to Salesforce to manage our Sales pipeline and other lead generating functionality, something that could easily be improved in NetForum. The CMS could be improved and more user friendly and intuitive The staff facing (iweb) interface could be a bit more user friendly and modern (We are on an older version - so some of the cons might already have been addressed)

Reason for choosing NetForum Enterprise

I believe NetForum had all the functionality of multiple systems we used at the time.

Reasons for switching to NetForum Enterprise

It happened before my time so I am not sure.

PROS

The database model is superior to others that I have seen, making it easy to expand and customize. The UI model is under continuous improvement.

CONS

There are sometimes roadblocks for conducting fairly standard procedures based on the association industry. Bugs are not always addressed in a timely manner.
