User friendly and affordable
I love the Valant EHR Suite! I am trying to get the LCSWs on as well.
PROSI like the electronic prescribing, the reports on measures, and the flexibility of setting up note templates.
CONSThere is a learning curve, but I think that would be the case with any EHR.
Reason for choosing Valant EHR Suite
Valant was primarily a mental health EHR with reportable measures. These were my biggest priorities.

We love Valant!
We love the secure message feature. Another feature we rely on are the automated appointment reminders. Our patients heavily rely on them too.
PROSThis is a very user friendly platform. I'm not the most computer savvy person, and the knowledge base is a fantastic resource if I ever need a refresher on how to do anything. Valant is always coming out with upgrades and new features that continue to effectively help with time saving, patient relations etc.
CONSThe hold times to get through to someone over the phone for help can be quite long. Fortunately, a lot of information can be found in the knowledge base, but sometimes you need to speak to an agent and the hold times can be excessive.
Reason for choosing Valant EHR Suite
Valant seemed to be the overall no brainer. I'm very happy we decided to go with Valant. Our staff is all happy with the decision to go with Valant.

A good start but still have a lot to improve on
Mostly positive as long as you can implement without any meaningful support
PROSImplementation of the screeners into the intake notes patient portal when it works as advertised
CONS- inability to prevent patients from requesting an appointment within a 24-hour or 48 hour window - functionality errors with every single update that happens - lack of timely access to customer service - terrible implementation process where things were not done as they were promised they would be and it became impossible to reach the implementation specialist

Essential to my practice
I'm satisfied with it enough to select this for my use in my solo venture, and selected Valant for how I manage my practice.
PROSI had learned Valant years ago, before their I/O product went live, with another practice. This present iteration addressed all of the quirks that the prior version had that makes using it for the basic functions I need very easy & intuitive.
CONSThere's some features and items that exceed the scope of my practice that are part of the package, with some features being utterly underutilized. I'm not particularly crazy about paying an annual subscription ON TOP OF monthly service fees.
