The interface is a little outdated and confusing.

I like the ease of use and value for the money.

The absence of a built-in timer and a technician timesheet are missing features that would greatly enhance the software.

Many new integrations have been added recently to make Syncro more like the heavy hitters, such as adding Splashtop to the RMM.

Having the ability to customize the system to your needs for information to store or manage your client's assets makes our day to day easier.

Very easy to use and powerful at the same time. It could be insane with field effect (covalance) integration.

Splashtop is a really nice addition to the remote access suite (although the original Background Tools functions are even better for many things).

The best feature of the system is the complete integration of both the RMM and PSA.

Not only has their help allowed us to shift our initial system to scale but allowed us to better understand how to utilize the tools and features of the system.

The lack of customization on the dashboard ui is a small complaint I have.

Love that the software allows up to remote into user on our company hardware as long as they have Internet. Ease of use to see reports based on what we are looking to monitor.

Patch management and Reporting, Patch management NEEDS to be able to exclude Patches.

Love the software it work wonderfully and does what we need it to and they get some extra points for adding holiday lights to the service during Christmas time.

Adding products to inventory and performing stock takes are pretty straight forward. I am also impressed that every page/feature of Syncro has a help tab relating directly to what you are working on.

A Good SIEM Solution with good feature sets, but costs should be a bit lower then.

There are a lot of moving parts that are very good at correlating network security events. The product has become very usable and is great for small companies looking for an entry level SIEM.

About 80% of the time, the upgrade will break something so badly, you need to re-install and start from scratch. The system slows down considerably when a large number of events are fed in.

Integrates easily with other open source tools like Nagios and OSSEC. Open source version (OSSIM) is free and simple to deploy.

It satisfys most of compaliances like ISO, PCI, SCADA, HIPAA  etc.

A Sensor is installed and looksafter for logs collection and server takes over from there. During Forensics we do have logger which helps us to deep dive in searching the logs.

Alienvault Is a great tool for detect any threat on your system, is a effective and fast software.

The price to feature ratio is epic. We use this product regularly and absolutely love it.

Alienvault USM is better and the best SIEM solution interms of financial and also in terms cyber security risk complaince.

Log correlations and retention is very easty in managing and administrations. A lot og inbuilt correlations which is really helpful.

It also allows to save costs on other tools since it comes with many integrations for every aspect you should take care of as a security administrator.

The community is weak and there is rarely any input from the developers on the community to help out. So a lot of people try it out and then go somewhere else.

Very Limited trial period of only 15 days,  Log Point SIEM offers 60 days trial period in comparison. Also MacAfee, Solar Winds also provides 30 days trial period which could be extended.

Benefits include security. Interfacing with multiple security platforms its even management and reporting are assisting companies be more secure.

Great reporting capabilities. Predefined schemes to validate and ensure compliance.

Alarms can be set according to the type of incident and priority. Great compatibility across software and devices vendors to collect logs from.

Build SOC makes it very easy with Alienvault rather going for complicated stuff.

They selected the best breed of products to integrate in a single console and make it easy to the customer to become fully compliant, be it PCI DSS, DISA STIG, HIPAA, ISO 27002, etc.

Alienvault USM had best features in assets discovery, Vulnerability Assessment, IDS and Log monitoring etc. OTX pulse which is a free service comes at no cost an external threat intelligence tool.

USM Anywhere is a cloud-based security platform which helps midsize to large enterprises with risk detection, vulnerability assessment, security monitoring and threat response.


The security platform enables users to collect and detect information such as software services, number of users logged in and the operating system of assets. It comes with an active scanner, which lets users scan for known vulnerabilities, and an intrusion-detection system to conduct file integrity monitoring, gather operating system logs and perform rootkit checking. Further, its behavioral monitoring capability includes netflow information, bandwidth and traffic capture.


Additionally, USM users can participate in the open threat exchange (OTX) threat-sharing network and identify known malicious attackers. The solution integrates with third-party applications such as Jira, Office 365, Amazon Web Services, Palo Alto Networks and more.
