Game Changer

PROS

Oh where to begin!?... This software makes it incredibly easy to write a schedule for pet sitters and for clients. The option to run repeat services saves so much time! And you can store all client and employee information in one place. Clients and employees have access to a portal to see all of their information and scheduled services. The employees can use a feedback portal to send messages and pictures instantly via e-mail to the client so they have peace of mind knowing their pets have been cared for while they are on vacation or at work. It keeps track of invoicing for clients and jobs/hours worked for employees. Invoicing and payroll take only minutes! There are so many more wonderful things, but this review could go on and on. My life, and my business, became better the moment I began to integrate this software!

CONS

It is customizable, but only to a certain degree. It can be a lengthy process to get everything set up, and it may not be exactly the way you would like it to be. I would also wish for reports to be a bit more customizable. But it all flows regardless!

If I was to be very picky I would like to be able to block out days that I'm away so that clients are unable to book them days.

Was not customizable to suit my business.

It was very informative and gave me ideas on intake forms and the setting up of my online appointments, payments etc.

PROS

That it was user friendly and had pre made client intake forms.

CONS

Although it helped that they had the software set up to help give you a boost. The software couldn’t be changed to fit with the needs of my business. It just focused on just pet Sitting I was unable to incorporate the Grooming services I provide to clients online.

Truly the Best Pet Care Mgmt System

Very grateful PSP exists! Their software best fits our needs and their support helps with anything complex I encounter using the platform.

PROS

Somehow very few pet care software platforms offer the option for tipping?? That was essential to me. Pet Sitter Plus handles the scheduling logistics in a very clean way and it's built with attention to pet needs specifically, and doesn't require a ton of tailoring to get a build you like. I went through soooo many softwares trying to find one that was a good fit for my biz and PSP was by far the best I found.

CONS

The learning curve for building some of the systems (like recurring invoicing) wasn't hyper intuitive, but their customer care team is very helpful and thorough via email and on video calls so it's been a non issue.

Reason for choosing Pet Sitter Plus

The ability to tip on the platform was essential to me, and many services did not have an option for this. Others just felt clunky or too difficult to tailor to the pet care industry

We once built schedules, invoices and payroll reports - all manually. PSP has been a GAME CHANGER.

Saves a ton of time, helps us focus on new client acquisition and employee training rather than the rote back-end stuff

PROS

About 4 years ago, we evaluated PSP, Pet Tech and other similar systems, (and in recent years, we cast a sideways glance at newer, app-based solutions like Leash Time and Time to Pet) -- while some of these services may seem as robust, or have a slicker user interface, we've found that PSP provides all the features a company of our size needs... and is uniquely able to scale with us. We're now at over 1700 clients in NYC, and we simply could not have done this Pet Sitter Plus! As many have noted, the customer service team is phenomenal. We are continually impressed by all of the feature-packed new releases that come out (it seems) every few months. The product just keeps getting better and better, adroitly sensing shifts in the wind and adapting to them. I can't imagine how busy the programmers must be, constantly responding to the custom needs of Pet Sitting Companies across several continents (with all our varying labor, tax, cultural and other considerations!)

CONS

Well, we're in NYC so some of the terminology in PSP takes a little getting used to. For example, "Diary" will always conjure a tween girl's secret journal, not the daily schedules of our employees... and it's always a little charming to "raise" our clients' invoices rather than send them. I'd say the biggest example of this language difference, or perhaps more a cultural one, is that in the USA when an invoice is sent, the recipient usually has 2-4 weeks before the bill is "due". In PSP, all bills are marked "Due on receipt, and show as "outstanding" to the Client even if they just received it. The user interface takes a little getting used to. It's probably impossible to design a smooth, attractive and intuitive UX when you are handling SO MANY details for every single thing. An app, when it comes, will be great!

We could not run our business without this great bit of software...

We would not be able to run our business without this software, it allows us the time and freedom to get on with other things and develop further our services.

PROS

First and foremost the excellent, speedy customer services. The team are wonderful and every time we have needed help, we've never had to wait - someone is always at the end of an email or phone call. It's so rare to get such a great personal service and even though this company has grown since we first started using the software, this area of their business has remained first class and that's what you want when you yourself run such a busy business. This system is so easy to use and allows us the time to work on other things. Our clients love it and more so that they are in control of their own portal area whereby they can book services directly. The invoicing part of the software can invoice so many clients in seconds, where previously it took us hours, this alone is why you should invest in this system, it really will save you a lot of time. It's the same with booking lots of scheduled services, we book a year at a time and again, clients love that they can then go into their portal and cancel services not needed, ie school holidays.

CONS

There's not a lot that we don't like and anything that might need attention, we drop the company an email with our ideas and they go through them at software meetings and if you're lucky, it might be on the next software release, they are always developing the system further. We would like to be able to search on pets birthdays so that we can send them cards and birthday treats, just always looking to delight our clients and would like more diary features and integration with an electronic signature company for the signing of our documents, so are keeping our fingers crossed for the next software release.

Love this program

I can now organize my dog visits, boarding and daycare in such a short time. I now have time to work one expanding my business!

PROS

I have been using PSP for over 3 years now, and can not do without it! It is easy to use for everyone, me, my employees and my clients. My clients love the fact that they can schedule their services online. The real time visit updates and GPS confirmation of arrival is an excellent tool. My clients love receiving pictures of dogs during the actual visit! There all a lot of reports that can help you with the financial side. I especially love seeing the revenue report. a graph shows the break down of where you are making the most revenue. The support is the best!! Whenever you get a new program you never know if there will be someone there to help. Not worries with that I have had ALL my questions answered in a very timely manner. I would highly recommend PSP to anyone running a pet business!!

CONS

The only con is that you can not change the invoice once it is sent. It does cause confusion for some of my clients.

Love IT!

Scheduling, Billing and payments are so much easier. I could not imagine running my pet sitting business without this software!

PROS

I am a small business and I am just starting out. From the very first day that I started using Pet Sitter Plus, I was amazed. Seeing as it is just me right now who works/runs my business I was always running short on time. I love that I have the ability to do so much with just one program. I have the ability to schedule all of my clients, keep financial records, and have GPS check in and check out all at my finger tips. All I have to do is bring my tablet along and I can do all of this with just one click. I like to keep records of who has paid and who has not as well. This way I can send reminders as needed. I meet many of my clients at their homes, and process their payments right there with Pet Sitter Plus! The customer service has been fantastic as well. I have only had minor issues when I was first setting everything up. They were speedy and very courteous!

CONS

Honestly we have not had any that are worth noting! So far so good!

I mainly use it for the scheduling aspect right now. It’s very easy to set up appointments.

CONS

That it doesn’t have an app. You have to use the website (like safari) on your phone.

Pet Sitter Plus

It will take some time to learn the system and convert clients and pet sitters to the system. My customer service rep is phenomenal and walked me through it step by step. Representative is always available to take my call, answer my silly questions, or schedule a ZOOM session when needed. Once familiar with the system, it's easy to use and exudes every bit of professionalism you need as a serious pet-sitting business. Clients love it!

PROS

I searched high and low for salient software unique to the pet-sitting industry, that offered more than just "dog walking" assignment support. I offer extended pet care, via boarding and move-in care, that span several days/weeks (not just an hourly service) and was at a loss for years until I found PSP! It has saved me in so many ways...if not countless hours tracking sitters, clients and pet details. HIGHLY RECOMMEND PSP!

CONS

I like everything about this software and have 0 dislikes/complaints.

The best!

Our experience has been beyond EXCELLENT! The support is top notch, quick, clear, thoughtful, skilled and timely. The features are everything we need and more. I can't say enough good things!

PROS

The ease of use and thoughtful features make this the best choice for our Dog Walking business. There are so many hepful features and it is 100 percent clear that someone who understands the ins and out of the pet walking/ sitting industry created the software.

CONS

The only thing that can require timing on our end is training our walkers on the system. This is not exactly a con. There are great built in tutorials for them.

Pet Sitter Plus was the one software that I found that was specifically for Pet Sitters and walkers. It met all of our needs, plus some!

PSP is the best petsitting software out there!

I started using PSP in 2014 as my business grew and it was impossible to manually handle everything from schedules to invoices to compensation. After doing some research I spoke to Richard Booty because his was the only software company that would call me (instead of it all being a sign up process online). I liked how customizable the system was and that he would schedule Skype interviews with me to help me set it up to work for my business. Now every time I have a question I always hear back from him or a colleague within 24 hours, and sometimes even within a couple hours! they are fast, friendly and it feels very personal. PSP comes out with service releases that always improve the software on a regular basis. PSP is the way to go!

PROS

its very customizable to how you run your business. the interface is nice and clean. I like how the software has a sitter, client portal as well.

CONS

That once you raise an invoice you can't automatically add more visits from the service request into that same Service Order. We invoice ahead of time.

Simply Superb

I run a small but successful dog walking company in the UK. We have over 100 regular customers and typically schedule 250 bookings per week across 3 walkers. Before using this system I had tried various others however none were as intuitive or had the required features to do the job quickly and easily. PSP makes managing bookings simple by allowing me to attribute dogs to particular areas for each walker. This means that doing my weekly scheduling takes less than half an hour!! It allows customers to have a central point of contact - managing their own bookings - eliminating the need to try and manage calls/texts/emails for bookings/amendments and cancellations. All this used to be a real headache. As completed jobs are all logged on the system, completing my monthly invoicing run takes maybe less than 10 minutes. All I need to do is sense check the customer orders to ensure there have been no human errors made (multiple orders for the same customer, only bookings for that month included in the order etc), change the text for the e-mail and off they go. I don't use other software, however, if I did, this allows the system to reconcile all payments directly - saving, even more, time. A really good feature however it's one for the future for me. The system is extremely robust, holds all the information you and your walkers may need, has multiple interfaces for mobile/tablet and desktop. The system can also be edited/adapted to suit individual needs with editable fields. Downtime is non-existent and support is absolutely top quality. Users can feedback directly on ideas for future function development and new features/updates are released regularly. My customers use the tracking functions to see exactly when their dogs were collected and dropped home - fantastic for providing peace of mind when they're at work. They also, without exception (even the technophobes!) pick up and use the system with minimal effort or training. I haven't even scratched the surface for what this system can do and cannot recommend it highly enough. Simply superb

This software is EVERYTHING you need to run your pet sitting business!

Billing, invoicing, scheduling, employee compensation and vacation request, client info, etc!

PROS

I don't know what I'd do without this software! From scheduling to billing and invoices, everything is run efficiently and effortlessly. I have gained SO much free time by using PSP, and my employees and clients also love it! The customer service is also top-notch! When you sign up, they have someone walking you through every single step, and they are there for you when you have any questions!

CONS

Although I do love this software, it is less "pretty" than others I've tried out. It's efficiency definitely makes up for it though! They also don't have any app, but are supposed to be coming out with one very soon!

Excellent core product and functionality for our growing pet sitting business

Speed; it's takes only seconds to run payroll, change or modify a customer order, run reports, any operational function is quick and easy to do. Clients love their portal for scheduling online and paying invoices. Sitters love the mobile app, all the info they need is at their finger tips. This is truly a Win-Win-Win software from operations, clients and sitter perspective.

PROS

Whatever you need to do, it's very quick and easy to accomplish; from sending quotes, re-assigning pet sitters, changing client orders, real time payroll & reports and best of all the mobile app and client portal. Our sitters use it daily and the majority of our clients now use their portal to request visits and pay their invoices.

Changed our business!!!

Better than I ever imagined

PROS

This system changes our business to the extent that we have doubled our income every year since using it. I saved money on admin costs for staff as everything is much quicker using this system and we have far less complaints everything runs so much smoother now. Our business has really grown and i do put a lot of it down to this system.

CONS

The hardest part is the initial set up but if you are like me I enjoyed it! Lots of data entry and a little bit overwhelming at the beginning but the team train you through it and really put you at ease!

Best customer service

It’s me the worst part of my job absolutely easy. It takes a little time that it hardly exist anymore.

PROS

After an event Atlanta show slow learning process, this is really been a game changer. I’ve been able to cut my paperwork hours by 90%. This is not an exaggeration. The other great thing is that the customer service is excellent and rep. walked me through the program and explained any thing I asked. I’m not a technically savvy person so this was really important in order to make this program work as well as it does.

I have to touch a computer to use it. Aside from that, it’s perfect.

Game Changer!!

PROS

This software program has cut down on my office work significantly, it truly has been life changing for me as a business owner and a mother. New clients and existing clients sign up, input all their info, schedule and cancel online and can even pay on the portal as well. Scheduling & Payroll have never been easier. Clients love accessing the portal when out of town to view their feedback and pictures of their pets. My PSP advisor is super helpful and always available. I wish I found this software when I started my business 7yrs ago!!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

CONS

Set up time (like any software program) is tedious but worth it. I wish there was a way sitters could communicate with one another on the portal if they are sharing visits. I know this is something they are working on currently.

PROS

We love the ability to connect with our clients through daily feedbacks including sending photos directly to their inbox. The billing/invoice feature is great especially that it connects directly with a credit card processor.

CONS

Creating forms is not always straight forward. I had to set up a lot of phone calls with the rep to learn how to navigate through the initial set up. The customer service is the BEST though so I was always able to work through any obstacles.

Amazing software and will make your life much easier!

PROS

It is very user friendly and easy to access all of your clients and pet sitters information. PSP makes is very simple to schedule visits, assign pet sitters, invoice, schedule recurring visits, and anything else you need to do. I love how the pet sitters can acknowledge their schedules and check-in/check-out of each job as they complete it which gives the pet owners a greater piece of mind. The program is extremely powerful and handles all of our client and contractor management. Another great thing about Pet Sitter Plus is that you can use it from any device and anywhere. I highly recommend this software for any pet sitting business, big or small. Fantastic!

PSP saved my business!

PROS

Pet sitter plus has everything needed to run a small or large pet sitting company. My clients and staff love their portal and the billing and scheduling is so easy. And the reports are super helpful too.

CONS

Nothing! Its really a great product and wonderful customer service and training. Maybe the only negative thing is they don't have an app yet, but they are working on building it.

Great Business Tool for Pet Sitters!

I have been using Pet Sitter Plus for 3 months and am so happy with the functionality of the program as well as the support I receive. They have great explanations in the "Help" section that make it easy to learn on my own, and when I get stuck or can't figure something out that way, all I have to do is send an e-mail and within a reasonable response time, I have my answer! I look forward to growing my business doing what I enjoy, working with pets while minimizing the time it takes to manage the scheduling and billing of my business by using Pet Sitter Plus.

PROS

Pet Sitter Plus is intuitive to use, there are useful write-ups explaining most of the functions through "Help", I really love its Mobile accessibility and reporting to clients with photos. I am still learning and look forward to becoming much more proficient in time. I can't imagine running a pet care business without this software. I am also happy to learn of some upgrades coming that will be very useful.

CONS

I am still having some problems learning the invoicing and payment functions, but that is a result of me being afraid that I will mess it all up, so I hesitate to void invoices when that would be the right thing to do. They are very patient to work with me through whatever issues I am having.

Great System for my Business

PROS

It's easy to use for scheduling and client retention. I also like how easy I can customize it.

CONS

Emailing clients. I can't jazz it up with images and graphics. It seems so plain plus I don't think all my clients get their emails when I do a mass email even though the log said it went.

Reason for choosing Pet Sitter Plus

It was more affordable at the time and I liked it when I got the free demo

My life made Easier

10/10! Very happy so far!

PROS

I love that my invoicing literally takes 5 mins when it used to take 2 hrs every week. The support team is amazing and answers every question I have thoroughly and in a very timely manner. My training sessions with support team were so informative and we left no stone uncovered, I felt fully confident to roll out the program to my clients! The scheduling is so easy with just a couple clicks I have my schedule and my employees schedule sorted for the week in no time! This has been life changing and the best money I have ever spent! Thanks so much GUYS!!

CONS

There could be some tweaks to the system to better accomodate group walk scheduling.
