A solution that fits everyone's needs

Discovering Fibery has been a revelation for me. No other solution could give me that level of customization, that will aligned with any business processes. I can finally close the DevOps loop research-insights-ideas-features-goals-feedback-insights, by linking everything and measure the impacts on business OKRs.

PROS

With Fibery, you can literally manage everything for your business in a single application. Ensure that all the business units are working towards the same goals, but linking everything together. No more silos, you connect and share with everybody. Customization is definitely the best advantage of Fibery. The automations, customizable formulas for metrics and KPIs and third-party apps integrations are also providing an awesome value for this tool.

CONS

Fibery links everything, yes, but it's a bit complex to learn at the beginning. You don't have to be a programmer, but it is better to be technical to get the full potential of the solution (ex. to build custom metrics formulas or create powerful automations) Fibery made it easier to do so in the past few months though and I guess it will still improve. Only other thing to mention is that the reporting is not out-of-the-box for exec, especially with non technical people. There are many graphs and visualization, but this speaks more for technical audience.

Reason for choosing Fibery

Other solutions works, but you always ends-up with a feature that doesn't do what you need, especially when it comes to metrics calculation. With Fibery, this won't happen, since you can customize everything. When defining metrics to decide what insights/ideas has more weight, only Fibery provide that flexibility. This is very important for prioritization.

Excellent no code offering for PSA

Overall, I really love using Fibery and so glad that I discovered it. The community is very helpful (excellent for an architect with no clue how to script anything). The team is very responsive. The service is very robust, stable and intuitive, and they are constantly improving their feature set. Most importantly, we can structure the data the way we want to. I have tried (in no particular order) BQE Core, Podio, Notion, ClickUp, Monday, AirTable, SmartSheets, SmartSuite, TapeApp etc.. and none of these have both the flexibility and features that Fibery has.

PROS

Fibery does an excellent job of connecting databases with one of the most robust and intuitive way to create relationships between data. This allows us to build out systems and workflows exactly around how we run our architecture firm versus conforming to how another software thinks we should be running our practice.

CONS

The UI is a little lacking. This is not really an issue when we first started using Fibery, but now that we have dozens of databases and several dozens of views it is becoming a bit more difficult to find things. It is also a bit lacking in templating. For example, Fibery has wonderful automation rules, but it can be cumbersome to duplicate rules across several databases.

Reason for choosing Fibery

Fibery has the best mix of flexibility and feature set. It seems like I would hit brick walls with all of these other offerings.

Reasons for switching to Fibery

Podio was great when we first used them nearly 10 years ago, but they have done little to innovate or expand their feature set since then. BQE Core, although it has its own fanbase, was quite the disaster for us - a perfect example of a software that tries to make you conform to how they expect you to run your business.

Flexible Workspace

Fibery seems to be a great company -- they are very transparent about what they're doing, opinionated about the direction of the product but responsive to feedback.

PROS

Fibery is a great place to store all our policies and procedures and knowledge around most of the processes in our company. The power of the relational database has helped us rationalize a LOT of processes that used to be all over the place -- we use it to track everything from our annual OKRs to which vehicles are assigned to which facilities, which insurance policies apply to which vehicles, and which government tax account number applies to which legal entity we operate.

CONS

Fibery is a blank canvas, and although they have some templates, getting user buy-in is a push. I wish they'd have better out-of-the-box support for certain task management features (like recurring tasks), export to PDF, and mobile apps. The ability to use javascript to automate certain workflow tasks is good, but limited by the lack of libraries you can use to interact with 3rd party software.

Reason for choosing Fibery

The quality of reporting, relational data mapping, automation, and combination of documents + databases is the best out there.
