Conga has saved my team so much time and effort by allowing us to configure and manipulate templates around a single source of data to produce multiple unique documents.

Conga enabled my team to easily create and automate all of the different plans and polices that we manage through the use of templates and highly configurable fields, all while maintaining our specific branding and format.

Conga can be daunting for new users. Thankfully, they have great resources for training and getting users started with creating their own documents.

When it works, it usually works. The way there is sometimes hard.

Still missing an easy drag&drop template designer.We still work on clunky word templates, that sometimes switch to total format chaos, when you just pull a certain field somewhere else - we all know that.Probably we are on outdated versions, but there's room for development, if not.If you drop in with special characters, data transfer to the Conga server gets stuck / frozen.

Great that all that you need is on the same platform so no need to worry about integrations

Can be slow at times and is not the cheapest but is worth the cost on how easy it is to setup and maintain

Awesome product. Save developers efforts in many ways and easily configurable. Love it.

System admin can configure the most of the items on the fly. No customization/code is required. Can be easily build and it save the timing for developers and its user friendly as well.

Conga has a deep feature list, so even if clients start off with a simple requirement such as quote or contract creation, they can add more sophisticated features or complimentary Conga products over time

As a consultant, I find the merge queries to be very time consuming to get right

The fact that you have to always generate a template before you use it for any document generation.

Would have been the solution if our SF org & salesmen training started with it in mind. if our SF org was set up from the start Conga composer would of been easier t teach & implement.

Used the data input to auto-fill contracts, making each fill more personalized, used to optimize the salesmen workflow so they avoid time waste from having to input duplicate info.

Implementation & training required a lot of effort to learn & implement features for my sales team to prefer still to input the documents themselves rather than using SF as a central data hub that Conga would output multiple auto filled documents.

Overall it is a good tool for small business and professional use. The document management system is very helpful in accessing the files anytime. The files are stored in the cloud and can be used from anywhere. We can sign a document online which is a unique feature to have.

The flexibility in creating a document is very good, as it allows us to generate documents in any format. The file sharing system is good and allows us to share big files which can't be shared via mail. There is a collaboration feature that helps in working on documents along with the team in real-time.

The interface is clunky, and the users feel a lot of difficulties while using this tool. The documentation is very confusing and the tutorials doesn't help much either. The tool is a bit expensive for personal use. More features can be added and improved.

There is a learning curve to overcome but the extensive resource library and customer support team at Conga make it all possible for even the most unique industries (or IT lacking departments).

It's robust and does what we need. Most of the features we require are there, they just look a little dated and aren't as user-friendly as they might be.

When we moved CRMs it was useful to be able to upload existing documents in Word format and then just update the new merge fields. The documentation on the website is good and relatively comprehensive. The admin side of the lightning app has some nice features.

It takes a long time to load the Conga Composer app/component in order to generate a document. The app itself looks 'retro'/still in the style of Salesforce Classic. Similar softwares have nicer, user-friendly, document creation features, this means our sales admin team are reluctant to create documents themselves and everything relies on more IT literate Salesforce admins to create the documents.

We use this mainly for our operations department, they pull over 30 different contracts, and the templates help save them a ton of time. Also helpful for sales and accounting who like to get reports wit specific margins, formatting, and print settings, etc.

Scheduled reports can be formatted for user specifications and formulas can be built right into the template.

building can be frustrating when not using reports. because if you make a change and the query doesn't update sometimes I am crawling all over SF trying to find the minor mistake.

You, as admin get a powerful tool to create templates for your users. Your users get a 1 button solution to send complicated documents with ease.

Not great for small business as there are license minimums

Some customers need a graphically appealing PDF version instead of a plain text page from Salesforce. Using Conga has saved time previously wasted on manually making these files.

The default printable view in Salesforce is almost unusable. With Conga, we can now make printable versions (PDF's) of Salesforce records/pages that look great.

The setup of different templates isn't that straightforward initially. It takes longer to generate the PDF output than is ideal.

It's definitely solved quoting issues for us. I'm excited to try Collaborate.

Templates require technical expertise. There's a lot of turnover in Conga's customer account relationship staff.

The support team is amazing. Beth was super helpful at connect.

When I get an error message I have a hard time figuring out the error. It’s often an extra space or character.

Conga Document Generation has a very simple user interface that makes using its features easy. Excellent template options that suit most purposes. Very good resources for training new users.

The software tends to glitch at times however it is not a major inconvenience.

Conga definitely shows value and saves our reps the time from manually creating and modifying documents by Word etc.

I like how we are able to incorporate/merge our contact information out of Salesforce along with our estimates and have them delivered to the customer on one single document.

Learning how to use 'switches' to format output took a while Equally, learning to use advanced formulas in word templates took some practice But easy to use for basic document generation from a database.

We reduced our weekly agenda generation from about an hour to a under five minutes. This was a large administrative task that was unnecessary for the time it took.

The ability to pull in multiple objects/reports into a document within minutes. Throw on top of that the community support, and it's gold.

There is a little bit of a learning curve, especially if you are not familiar with SOQL.

The automation features are super helpful for the business cases we have and our key personnel have adopted very quickly. They have the best support people who are not only friendly by are diligent about answering problems quickly.

I don't really have any Cons, other than we have to work with the team to do upgrades but I just heard that this is all changing soon and they will be able to push them out like other cloud products.

The ability to auto-populate templates with data from other platforms has been a real blessing for me and my team. We no longer have to spend hours typing and formatting documents, now we can do it quickly and accurately.

What I love the most is how easy it is to create amazing documents. I mean I can literally take a predefined or custom template and auto-populate it with data from other platforms. It's amazing!

The initial learning curve to become familiar with all the functions and features of the software. Although Conga offers an intuitive and easy-to-use interface, it can take a while to get used to all the available options and customizations.
