We use this software on a daily bases ensuring operations run smoothly
Overall our experience is very good. It's rare that the software would go down and customer service reps are super helpful and informative.
PROSGPS and route tracking are accurate at all times.
CONSWhen it comes to geo-graphing/geo-fencing, there aren't very clear instructions on how to use those features and reasons for use/benefits.
Reason for choosing CalAmp
More cost effective and reliable software with many hidden features that video trailers should be released showing clear instructions and proper use of the features provided.

At the time 5+ years ago (the company that you bought out) could upload stops to Garmin units giving our drivers turn by turn directions. Also connected out our Customer Service sofware.

Best GPS tracker management platform
The ability to update firmwares and config using batch updates and having realtime information about update progress is great!
CONSMigration from PULS is cumbersome. It should have been transparent to the user, you should have made it a drop-in replacement process.
Reason for choosing CalAmp

CalAmp - There is no better product on the market for pure GPS Tracking
If you need efficient and reliable GPS, there is no other. The ability for custom scripting, while time consuming to master, gives you absolute control of your units and allows you to weigh power management vs live communicating, reboot frequency, messages sent, etc.
PROSThe ability of scripting and allowing you to control all aspects of the software from Sleeping to Tracking Intervals allows you to create a near perfect product.
CONSWith the ability of scripting comes complexity. There was a very large ramp up time of many months for us to learn everything. Even something as straightforward as communicating with the unit via Terminal took a long time to get the basics of (basically, you either have EVERYTHING correct in your setup with wires, ports, etc or you get no response back).
Reason for choosing CalAmp
CalAmp would be well worth investing in a short "dummies" YouTube guide starting from the very beginning as it's quite intimidating to go through the literal 1,000+ pages of documentation just to get a basic example going. The 32-bit devices are easier than the 8-bit, but still very very complex. You have HEX-compressed UDP messages (with Lat/Long compressed requiring some serious know-how) that make it a much steeper learning curve vs competitors that allow you to send via TCP and send in standard ASCII often in a easy-to-interpret JSON format.
