PROS

the LABL labelling Solution has proven to be an invaluable tool for our business

CONS

While the interface is generally user-friendly, there might still be a learning curve for people who are not tech-savvy. Training and adjustment to the new system may take some time.

Greatest customer service I've ever experienced

I love SmartShyp in every way. From the first day, they were more helpful than any other software company I had experienced. Their willingness to walk me through different aspects of the software and show me the things that could be most helpful was priceless and saved me so much time. I am sure I could have figured most of it out myself just navigating through it, but to have them be so willing to show me was just what I needed. Their pricing is extremely competitive and I continue to be able to reach out to them with questions, and they answer me right away. I couldn't be more pleased with them and the decision I made to switch over.

PROS

I loved how easy the software was to use. What was exceptional was their customer service. When I had a question, I emailed and received answers immediately. They were great at explaining different aspects of the software and showing me the functions that were most beneficial to my business. They were very open to suggestions and commentary on how well certain options functioned compared to what I was used to. Overall I love how it looks and ease of use.

CONS

There were a few functions that I had issues with since I was used to another software program. They were able to show me the way to use the same functionality with their software. After using the other software for several years, it took some adjusting but I was able to get it all worked out.

Overall customer service experience. They truly want you to have a good experience with their product and it shows in how they treat you as a customer. You aren't just one in a million and they don't care about you...they want you to succeed with their software and will do all they can to help.

Reasons for switching to LABL

I liked what SmartShyp was offering (promo for a discount on first year) and they worked with one of my selling platforms directly which made things simplified for me. After using the software for that first year I was able to work through some of the kinks and things work seamlessly now. If I ever have a question, they answer right away and are always willing to assist. This is very valuable to me in my business and is not very common in this industry.

Off to a great start!

Overall experience is off to a good start. With the necessary software tweaks this product could be outstanding.

PROS

The fact that this software integrates with our main channel Jane.com is a lifesaver. That partnership has saved our business a lot of hassles and cash along the way. Once you know the software it is pretty simple to navigate.

CONS

There are a few cons that do need a little extra attention. Order search: You should be able to search Smartshyp by customers name, address, purchase history, etc. BUT only at this time can you search by order number or tracking number. This does make is almost impossible to aggregate data or just simply find your orders. Exporting Data: theres no simple way to do this, this process needs to be simplified by SKU, customer, customer frequency, etc. Importing CSV's: you shouldn't have to define columns per CSV imports, with the right import info this program should do it for you. Standard buttons for bulk shipping: there should be a selection of buttons that you can assign shipping weights, service + package types so users do not have to assign them everytime. Customizable packing slips: this has been a problem from day 1 for our company with SS. We've been notifying their team of the need for the quantity purchased to be bolded or bigger on each packing slip so our fulfillment team can see that. Overall with the cost, the user should be able to modify and customize the packing slip.

User friendly

I love the simplicity of this program, the overall use of the system.

PROS

That it integrates so well with our third parties. You can group like items together and print, you don't have to sort the size,and colors, it does it for you which helps when pulling the merchandise when shipping. Less mistakes.

CONS

sometimes it is slow to create labels if you are trying to print 10-20 at a time. But that could be our internet, not smartshypt.

Likes and Dislikes

It is very convenient to be able to have a platform that populates orders for you, it saves LOTS of time from having to do things manually.

PROS

The thing I love the most of Smartshyp is the customer service, someone is always available to answer any questions we may have. The simplicity of the platform is another big plus, easy to navigate and understand, also that looks of the new update looks great.

CONS

It seems like whenever updates are performed, they affect the functionality of the platform, commands are not as responsive, often times functions get stuck on certain screens, labels have to be recreated all over again and the same task has to be done over a few times for things to work.

Easy to Use

PROS

The best thing about this software is that it is seamlessly integrated to our selling platforms. We can easily switch between all our platforms. Batch jobs are easy to print.

CONS

The search function doesn't always work correctly. We can no longer search by a persons name in the whole system, but we've worked around that issue by searching by order number. Scan forms are very difficult to use on this software. All tracking numbers that aren't assigned to a scan form are cleared at the end of every day. This make mailing and shipping difficult as all has to be printed and shipped on the same day in order to have a scan form.

It's a game changer in business!

I love Smartshyp, I could never use another!! The time I have saved is incredible

PROS

FAST! Ease of use, simple platform, lighting fast problem solving from friendly customer support.

CONS

This is the tiniest, silliest thing, not really worth mentioning. Just the side bar is a little sensitive, I get too close all the time. LOL!!!

Easy to Use

I'm a fan and will send fellow ecommerce merchants to SmartShyp anytime I can.

PROS

Super simple and easy sign up. I was able to figure out how to use the software in a few minutes. Its some of the best looking software I've ever used which is a huge bonus to making my busy life easier. I've only needed customer support a few times on international orders. They were great to work with and patient with me.

CONS

Not much other than shipping international which didn't really have anything to do with their software other than navigating a customs form for the first time. Thanks SmartShyp for saving me hours or work everyday!

A daily user

I have been happy with it. It integrates with the platform we use. But we also use another site because it is easier in certain situations

PROS

This program integrates well. I haven't had any glitches or problems.

CONS

There are a few things about this program that is a little confusing. Other programs seem to have a little easier setup. Batch shipping is harder on smartshyp as well as quick selection of orders. Just not as much of a 1 click use.

Great system - gets the job done

Great support and response time. We mainly use it for labels and it does a great job.

CONS

The system was initially not optimized for the high volume we put through it but they resolved that issue.

Great Software and Great Support

Great experience and a great company. If you are shipping high volumes I would highly recommend it.

PROS

Every time I have needed assistance I have had help almost intently. I have also offered small suggestions for improvement and they have gone above and beyond what I expected.

CONS

Any small frustrations I have had with the shipping software have been updated and changed.

Easy to use and great customer service

Incredible product and customer service. At one point we were testing out many different shipping options, in terms of box sizes, weight etc. and one of their customer service reps chatted with one of my employees for over an hour walking us through the best systems and process options for our business

PROS

Smartshyp is easy to use and navigate. As someone who would not consider herself tech savvy in the slightest, I was able to easily navigate this software and find the most affordable options for shipping goods from my home. Smartshyp has provided the cheapest rates I’ve seen on the market!

CONS

I have only great things to say about Smartshyp!

SmartShyp/Unfinished Wood Co

SmartShyp is easy to use and I like how easy it integrates with Jane.com. If SmartShyp allowed us to ship with FedEx easily, we would move our online website sales over too. At present, we ship those through Shipcaddie.

PROS

SmartShyp integrates with Jane.com. I find it easy to work with.

CONS

I would like to be able to easily link to our FedEx account. I have been told this is very difficult to do. Our products can be heavy. USPS and UPS tend to be much more expensive.

Have to reload your card with preset amounts but it's not a big deal since we are continually shipping orders
