The number of tools integrated within the Blackboard so that multiple URLs and passwords need to be managed is a breath of fresh air.

With a large company comes great support and account management. Blackboard's team will be there to help train you and support you.

It's super easy to navigate and find all your resources on. It's well organized and I love it.

Good value for money, very convinient, multi task, contemporary, easy to use teaching tool.

I love the features of the built-in web based tools, gives access to multiple methods of communication, gives access for easy customisation of course pages.

Using blackboard makes me so frustrated I hate when I have to use it every day. I do not recommend this software to anyone.

Very easy to navigate for first time users. The interface is updated and clean to use, not like a 1990s system look.

Blackboard Learn is a frustrating platform to use.

Blackboard has all the necessary tools to create a great and effective online learning environment. There are so many LTI tools you can integrate into Blackboard to be successful.

The software is very traditional. It has great capabilities for pulling information out across courses and makes evaluating courses easy.

I think Blackboard is better than Canvas, but maybe not better than Moodle. It has some flexibility but perhaps not as much as Moodle has.

But once our organization switched to canvas, I realized Blackboard has some catching up to do, in terms of ease of use and integration.

It seems pretty stable and certainly is more stable than Canvas.

Hard to use software that is also very expensive.

I liked how this software is very easy for students. Instructors can give assignments, show grades, and upload attachments.

I don't like how Blackboard constant go through changes and is often down or having technical issues that'll need to be passed onto customer service.

Interface is confused but have too much posibilites for take different way to make the class and evaluations.

Overall, Blackboard Learn is a pretty good experience. Students are able to access many things.

Great ability to integrate other platforms (ie. youtube). Easy for teacher to manage course content.

Because this is in a university setting our IT department has been responsible for customer support and software purchases. Overall my experience with Blackboard has been very positive.

It was great at the time but we ended up replacing it with a home-grown system that was very similar. I wonder if it was pricey or the customizable options weren't what the university needed.

Avoid this program at all costs. Use literally anything else.

Blackboard is easy to use,exams are easy to deploy,announcements are very good and even the bullet-in board is a very handy feature.

As a TA, i have to use blackboard to build exams and quizzes for my students and i absolutely hate it. It is the least intuitive process and is a major pain in the butt.

I was easily able to access my grades, assignments, schedules and navigate with ease. Blackboard tech support was very responsive to any issues.

It is also difficult to navigate the grade center.

It has a bad UI and does not integrate well with other software solutions.

I don't know how it's priced, but I'm sure it can't be worth whatever the administrators are saving.

Blackboard is wonderful for students, it is very easy to use and they constantly do updates that help improve the system.

We ran our own host and it had nothing but problems, and I am not talking hardware. Every time we went to run an update, it broke something.

At times can be difficult to navigate around. There are a ton of things you can click on, can be easy to get lost at times.

The product keeps improving where I think things are already good, and is quick to address current issues.

It was a difficult system for me to learn and I couldn't find much training material for it. The reports you can run are basic and need a lot of manipulation to do any analytics.

The functionality and communication to our CMS does not work well. The implementation also took much longer than expected.

After this we made changes to our requirements and also implemented a milestone tracker which has help every single student.

Offers a variety of different software solutions that integrates with its ERP (Banner or Colleague). Along with a variety of ancillary applications that integrate with the ERP.

The company itself is the worst. Their customer service is abysmal.

Integration with other products can be very glitchy at times. It takes someone with serious knowledge to be able to navigate that process.

Visually appealing and the user interface is easy to use and navigate through tabs. A nice face lift from the older interface.

I would never recommend this service to my worst enemy. Don't walk away from Ellucian, RUN.

We struggled to get questions answered in a timely manner or correctly.

I guess the only good thing I can say about this software is that it works (kind of) most of the time.

The money you pay and the service you have dont compensate each other.

Cost: is more costly than some of its competitors. Deployment of newer products to end users could be smoother.

It is awesome to use for allowing students to track degree progress. It is simple for them to log on & see what is still needed.

This product is for higher education institutions. Ellucian is behind many competitors in this space however, it has realized this and  is making positive changes in the right places.

Unless the user  knows what they want there is a chance of getting lost. Ive been using the software for about 4 years now and i sometimes get lost or have to search for specific information.

The community that is always ready to help each other. You can reach out to hundreds of users and get answers.

My workplace uses Ellucian's Banner 9 for a Learning Management System. It's great to use codes to view different records.

The one problem we run into with Ellucian is that training to use the product is difficult. Many screens have specific acronyms to access them, which is hard for people to remember.

As professional in tech I decided to enroll in some part time college classes for enrichment and I was appalled at the software system both schools had for students.

Ellucian powers institutions with technology and services to help students like me to achieve these goals.

A mess of a company and a patchwork of modules.

I love how it has most College Institutes available you can sign into your see your classes you are registered for how much you owe and order your your books from it.

Software patches and updates from Ellucian are notorious for breaking various modules, connections between modules, etc.

This software is one of the most useful software that I have gone though. It helps me a lot in finding scholarship oppartunities.

Data is stored un-uniformly in 'shotgun' style in the database making migration away from banner very difficult. There is no dashboard -- the entire user interface is a very weak showing.

I think it could be a great software for higher education/universities. However, there are flaws and it’s not the most user friendly.

Can't tell you how many times I've been doing something fairly simple and suddenly Ellucian stops working or says a page can't be displayed.

It has very secure and solid database which is essential for the above mentioned matters.

We use Banner and eRecruit CRM. We expected the CRM/ERP integration to be the best selling point when choosing the CRM application.
