Founded in 2011, Jobber is a cloud-based field service and landscaping solution designed for small and midsize businesses. The software offers scheduling, invoicing, a client database, quotes and other tasks.
The scheduling module allows users to update jobs in real-time, including information on progress and completion. Setting up a single job or a recurring contract is easy, and multiple employees can be assigned to the same job. Jobber offers drag-and-drop functionality, so users can move appointments around.
Invoices are sent out automatically via email and follow-ups are built in. Jobber includes flexible invoicing options to best fit users' existing processes. Jobber partners with many popular electronic payment apps, such as Stripe and Paypal.
Jobber’s customer relationship management (CRM) module tracks contact information, and users can create custom fields, tags, attach files or phones and more. It links multiple properties under an account. All of this is connected back to the billing and work history.
Users in the field can create quotes on any smartphone or tablet and automatically forward them to clients. These can be rated and sorted by active opportunity.

We've been using Jobber for our business for about a year now. I love how easy it is to use, and the amazing customer service that comes with it. They are a message away! Their user friendly interface makes my job way easier than what we were doing previously. It keeps track everything and I hardly need to use any other program. I highly recommend Jobber!

Easy as an Iphone to use and implement. Very simple layout. Syncs fairly seemlessly. Easy to get employees set up (except every time I had to call them to resend the email for employees - it never generated). Map feature, timer are great for use by staff.
Can't download all notes and details for each customer easily. No main database access. Text features limited and another additional cost. Field workers have to be given FULL "editable" access to be able to put a payment in the system. Field app has been simplified to the point of useless. No real CRM. Can't make changes to set up the way you do things (like having "check" as the default in a payment) which makes several extra clicks here and there which is frustrating on a daily basis.
Watch out for all the costs. Add-ons most companies will need/want make the price go up and up. (Still cheaper than some others but not as robust) If there is something you really want in a product, ask their staff if it is coming in the immediate future. Things take 6-12 months to implement it seems.
Tracy from Colorado Concrete Repair
Creating clients and tracking them from quote to job to invoice.
Time sheets and how I can track our team's hours against specific jobs.
Tracking expenses against jobs.
The app. Once it was updated, we lost the ability for the crew to see their schedules and to update their time if they messed it up. Also if a job is not scheduled for that day, then they cannot assign their hours to the job on the app.
I'd like to see more automatic uploads of our communications with clients via email and phone in Jobber.
I'd like to see job costing analysis to see if we were profitable on certain types of jobs.
Does not help with job costing, so you'll need something separate from that.
Brandon from Quality Gates and Openers Inc
Inexpensive and user friendly. The customer support is great.
the new updates are lacking in functionality. We lost a lot of abilities in the mobile app with the latest update.
Great product for the money, I would definitely recommend this software for small businesses.

The team is very helpful & ready to support at any time.
As part of what is built for its just great. there is nothing to add.
Before using jobber or anything else, know your business. draw your workflow on a paper then choose. i kept this note for the people who says jobber is not good. sorry to say that you guys need to know how to use Jobber.
if you are into any kind of services business there is nothing better then jobber! feature & price wise.. integration & other future aspects as they keep on enhancing it all the time.
Jeff from Reliable Home Solutions, LLC
Jobber is easy to setup and use. It's inexpensive compared to other similar program. The people at Jobber will help with any item you may need and will listen to your input on changes you might want to see made with the program.
I would like to see the capability to download all previous jobs or basic tasks to a file to save locally.
It's a good program and is easy to use. If you have questions, customer service is there to answer them. You can find a wealth of information available on the program itself. There are numerous things you can customize to make the program like you want it.
Christina from Bed Bug Burners LLC

The program is extremely user friendly and inexpensive compared to other similar programs.
The apps are basically worthless. All our technicians log in online through the website because the apps are so limited.
If your technicians have iPads or lap tops this will work great, if they only have smart phones it is not ideal. The small phone screens make it difficult to do any work on.

I like the fact that I can save costumer information and don't have to write every invoice by hand
Its annoying. the fact that I cant write an invoice without creating a "job" which is basically basically creating an invoice before creating an invoice makes me do the work twice. sometimes it doesn't associate the "Job" with the invoice even though it was part of creating it. its stressful.
good luck marking invoices paid if they are under the same company name. you'll have to inspect each invoice because the list of pending payments wont show the address of the work site that you need to mark paid. instead you need to have the invoice number jobber gave you even if the company you billed doesn't show it on the checks.
The invoice it creates is very picky about changes in the settings. it wouldn't let me leave a blank space so I had to insert a period instead. otherwise the page wont refresh.
Don't use the built in calendar to assist you with your due jobs. you have better luck using hotmails calendar. if you do you'll get really confused about which jobs you've created invoices for and which ones you haven't.
make sure the program supports "service address" instead of shipping address. when I searched for an invoicing program i had to call a few of them to ask this question.
Andrew from Sean Clark chimney services
It solved our scheduling needs both in the office and remotely. Specifically made a small service company look like a completely staffed contractor.
Nothing much..they need to work a little on the calendar view from mobile phones and some hang time issues.
Try it for 30 days..it's free! We tried more than several competitors and they failed our expectations.
Jessi from Rose Landscape
What I like best about Jobber is how functional it is and how it keeps our business organized and on schedule. The interface is appealing and the options for scheduling work very well for our business.
We have been very happy with Jobber. Sometimes there are minor issues that we struggle with but when we contact Jobber they help us immediately.
When evaluating software one of the important things is how it will help you to maintain appointments and scheduling jobs. Jobber is very good at this and I highly recommend it.
Wilma from Rose Landscape Services
This product is efficient and thorough. We use it every day. It is easier to maneuver around, and if we have questions, they are answered very promptly.
It is hard to collect specific data spreadsheets based on the selected options. Often we want a simple spreadsheet which gives us averages to know if we are bidding our jobs right based on the time but are unable to get it.
Always be honest. They can't fix the problems or come up with solutions if you don't tell them what is wrong.
Nathan from Buckeye Mowing and Lawn, LLC
It's very easy to understand and implement right away. The staff is very helpful whenever you need them.
I would like for it to already have QuickBooks incorporated into the software.
Give it a try. It's well worth using the 30 day trial.
Amanda from My Sweet Clementine

I love it. It stays up to date meets all our work requirements. I can't complain.
I don't have anything to complain about with this service.
I think this is a good way just to base in general.
Brad from Bumblebee Landscapes LLC
Makes everything in my business so much better. I really could not be happier.
There's nothing that I dislike about Jobber.
I would first call the other companies and see how long it takes to talk to someone. Jobber feels more like a really smart friend rather than some big corporation.
Charles from Hale's Electrical
Jobber is very user-friendly. New employees can jump into the program easily. The Jobber team is always kicking out updates to better their product (usually request from their customers).
Their calendar can sometimes become cluttered, but there are options that you can change to de-clutter it.
Talk to a rep first. They can show you what Jobber can do. If you think it would be a good fit, try it out.
Graham from Painters Enterprise
Jobber makes it so easy to find my clients, provide them with professional looking quotes, invoices, statements and such; and be able to look up past work that we have done for clients.
For the way we run our jobs, I haven't been able to incorporate the calendar usage into my work regime.
I don't need to use any secondary software or program for any of my client and business needs.
Troy from A Cut Above Lawn Services
Jobber is very user-friendly and saved me a lot of time in scheduling and invoicing. What made it the most effective was the phone support. They were very professional and went to great lengths to help me understand the product and implement to my specific application.
I can't think of something I didn't like. I had a great experience with both.
Try it out for a few months. Call with your questions. You will be glad you took the time to get through the learning curve. It is well worth it.
Quintin from Total Tree Health Care, Inc.
Simplicity, ease of use, responsiveness, being cloud-based.
I don't like the fact that it is exclusively cloud-based. There needs to be a desktop version that stores all my data on my device in conjunction with syncing to the cloud. This way, if I have no reception or WiFi is down, I can still work. Evernote does this very well, so I wish the developers would follow suit.
Give it a spin. Don't assume that an industry-specific software package is always a best fit. I spent 10x more on industry-specific software that was frustrating and ultimately a huge waste of time. Jobber allowed me to get started with no upfront fees, and it was customizable to my industry.
Lee from Final Touch Landscaping Maintenance & Irrigation, Inc
The Jobber product was made for us, the Green Industry. The vendor has the best customer service we have ever experienced. It syncs very well with QuickBooks Online.
I cannot really think of anything we like the least about Jobber. We are thankful for their continuing effort on improving the product while adding new features.
We have tried a handful of other programs before Jobber; however, none of them fit the Services Industry like Jobber. A very flexible program that will help you grow your company as large as you want.
Eric from MVES CO
Easy to use as an administrator while using the phone app.
Custom fields from the job screen don't sync with the invoice.
Best software I've used. Has a lot of features for the price.
