Vagaro is a cloud-based salon and spa management solution that allows users to book appointments and manage various facility roles. It offers an integrated solution to manage bookkeeping, payroll, client databases and inventory.

Salon owners can list available appointment slots, and customers can then look for salon facilities nearby and book appointments through Vagaro’s website. Its mobile app is available for Android and iOS-based smartphones. Vagaro manages front desk operations such as appointments, sending confirmation emails and messages to clients and alerts to salon owners.

Salon owners can create customizable promotional web pages to showcase upcoming events and special offers through Vagaro’s website or connect with their customers through email and social media platforms. Customers can also create personalized profiles with their contact information, booking history and feedback.

This product enables salon owners to keep records of their customer service histories and generate customizable reports with graphs and charts to track business performance.

There are several other app options that are better. I trialled several of these type of app/programs. They were the only one that asked for a credit card to do a trial. The other programs emailed and stated the trial was almost over and do I want to continue. Vagaro sent me one email, when I signed up, and one more 30 days later stating they have charged me the monthly fee. They didn't email stating my trial was almost over. And dealing with several, it's hard to remember them all. I couldn't believe it when I received an email from them saying they've charged me money... without even informing me they would do so.

There are far better programs out there. No need to use this one that will steal money from you. And, they have no option for a refund. I tried their program for only a few days before finding better alternatives. I still can't believe they took money without informing the customer. That is fraudulent.

Pros

None. There are identical options that do not ask for a credit card during the trial period.

Cons

They will steal your money! Do not give them your credit card details to trail.

I have used Vagaro as a Day Spa Manager and as a client. As a Day Spa Manager, the software made the chaos of scheduling seem like an easy task. Employees loved that clients could book appointments online, and the employee could verify the time slot before accepting the appointment. Anyone can access their schedule via smartphone, tablet, computer, etc. Clients loved that they could book their appointments 24/7 via their personal devices. It really is a win-win for everyone.

Pros

Convenience for employees and clients.
Sends reminders to clients about their appointments.

Cons

Nothing.

Advice to Others

I love the color coordination. It makes it easy for a quick one-over to be certain of appointment status

Cons

When utilizing the display screen for multiple users, the columns tend to be compromised in display which can sometimes make it hard to see appointment detail at a quick glance of the eye.

Pros

Ease of use. Like having a personal secretary. I like the price suggestions. My clients love the reminders, and it will cut down on no shows.

Cons

I have found no cons. I wish it were easier to add clients profiles. It is just tedious to me, but I see no way around it.

Learning how to keep track of all my transactions, my clients and I learned I can also produce gift certificates which is awesome, now I don't really have to do much at all.

Pros

I like that it keeps track of everything you do and you can also print our reports if you need proof of income or just for taxes.

Cons

I don't like how hard it was to figure out navigating back and forth and trying to figure out the services menu, I think it could a little more simple.

the ability to create a professional website is a great benefit and also being able to communicate with clients through the software with the reminders feature.

Pros

I really like how easy it is to book appointments and maintain client information. It is also very easy to rearrange the calendar and move appointments.

Cons

The checkout process is a bit complicated starting out. It will take some getting used to- compared to other softwares.

You can not tip out sytlist daily, this creates a problem of keeping the regerster balanced stylist like their tips daily

I love the tracking of Reports. Super easy for the eyes, and easy for users. Seems other systems are so busy and distracting to the eye. This is so easy and to the point

Just a few bugs need to be worked out on the apple app. But as we go along, I notice when I have an update notice, that improvements are coming.

i like how the new updated version is user friendly, it keeps track of new clients, returning clients and current clients, it makes my tax time easier by having the reports there at a click of a button.

Pros

i can use it on my Mac, iPad and iPone.. records all purchases and running reports are so easy to use and keep track of clientele

Cons

doesn't have a bank transfer/direct deposit as a payment option in the check out.. its mainly based in america but it still works in Australia.

We like that is keeps track of clients, reminds them of their appointment, email tracking, the website and many other things!

Pros

I really like the way it tracks emails I send to clients. The custom website is a great bonus and we recently added the merchant services. It keeps track of everything!!

Cons

I do not like the credit card swiper attached to the computer. It doesn't capture all the information and flips the month and year on the credit card. We just use the iPad to check out clients.

It keeps track of my income for me and breaks it done but what the paid with.
Was kinda hard to learn but I'm getting there.
i switch from another system and they are very different so it is taken a little bit to get used to

I love the booking management! I love how i can update my working hours and services at my leisure, I love how I freeze online booking access at my leisure, and I really enjoy the itemized portions for my tax preparer-literally does all the work.

Cons

I am unable to select days for specific services only. I am expanding my services and need to balance my work schedule but I am not able to have services selected with "only available days".
