Best Group Managment Tool On The Market

I have found Orchestry to be the best M365 Group management product available and allows organizations to bring order from chaos. The UI is clean and polished which makes training easy.

PROS

Every organization need to govern and control it's Microsoft 365 Groups. These groups are the foundational building blocks of productivity but ensuring that they don't explode out of control is critical to successfully rolling out and implementing M365. Orchestry provides three key features that enhance your chance of a successful roll out. One is strong and easy to understand controls on the creation of M365 Groups. These include naming conventions, expiration and archival policies, approvals, and a robust directory. That alone would make Orchestry a powerful tool. As great as the UI is, it would be nice to be able to customize it with logos and styles of the organization that is using it.

Best set of features and a user interface that is polished and end-user oriented. That clean and smooth UI is really just the icing on the cake, but at the same time it makes the entire product just seem better.

A very cost effective solution for holistic governance management

We and our customers struggle with how to effectively create robust site templates that help create better information architecture and content findability while making it easy for users to self-serve. We have done a number of trials and customers don't want us to remove it. That's a solid selling and value proposition for me.

PROS

I use the directory daily and it makes finding and navigating 1000 of Teams sites and SharePoint sites a breeze. I love how easy the deployment process is. Our clients love to see how stale or active their sites are and then set policies to keep them clean. Set it and forget it, mostly.The team at Orchestry are fun, ease to work with and knowledgeable. They are great to their partner and really strive to support them. They ask for feedback and take it from the field.

CONS

The only feedback that I would have is that they can't finish their backlog of features faster. I know what's on the roadmap and love where they are going with the product and we, and our clients need those features sooner than later.

Reason for choosing Orchestry Software

Cost mostly along with ease of deployment. Feature set is not bloated.

Archive and insights make Orchestry fly

Support has been quick to respond. Installation and setup are a dream. I have worked with similar tools in the past and Orchestry is best in class in these areas. The product team is innovative and releasing new features that are not redundant to what Microsoft is releasing. They have thoughtful intent to add value to clients and partners who leverage.

PROS

Really love the insights and visual reports. They are clear and directive on what steps are needed to resolve. For example, Teams with no members reports, show the MS Teams that do not have any members. So, then policies can be created to prevent this in the future and it can also be remediated.

CONS

That not all the clients I support don't have Orchestry. It really makes governance easy to enforce with features that everyone of my clients could use.

Better Features and a partnership had been formed with Orchestry and their leadership. They are warm, friendly people eager to engage with clients and partner network.

Great Workspace Lifecycle Management tool

Intuitive, pleasant interface. Easy to install and setup. Good default setup options.

PROS

Ability to put better controls around creation of workspaces (sites and Teams). This eliminates sprawl. Monitoring for inactive guests. Monitoring for inactive sites. Good default options for templates, archival workflows, etc.

CONS

No support for non-group sites and classic sites. This makes it harder to clean up sprawl. Some terminology is confusing. E.g. Insights/Dashboard.

M365 Management at Its Best

Overall experience with Orchestry has been excellent. In addition to the great features, their IT support is phenomenal

PROS

We are an Orchestry partner. We use Orchestry ourselves and have worked with clients to implement Orchestry. Orchestry truly simplifies M365 management in several ways, reducing the burden on IT: Automation of workspace provisioning, workspace lifecycle management and workspace guest management. In addition, Orchestry is always working to enhance and improve the tool. The new recommendations feature enhances the ability for IT to identify potential issues in M365 and provides easy access to the information you need to resolve those issues.

CONS

There are some things that are not yet supported within Orchestry such as private channels, shared channels and multi-geo. However, Orchestry has these things on their roadmap.

Awesome product for M365 governance, lifecycle management, and collaboration standardization

We have used Orchestry for many years and have installed it at multiple organizations. The software itself is well designed, easy to install and configure. It is fully featured, allowing us to execute on M365 governance and lifecycle management best practices. The Orchestry team is very knowledgeable and provides excellent support.

PROS

There are a lot of features we use often, for both our M365 environment and customer environments. The lifecycle management and governance features are most useful, as they provide simple workflows to keep our environment organized, clean, and secure. This allows us to enforce Microsoft best practices, leading to a much better admin and end user experience. The templating and guest management features are also critical for keeping our M365 environment standardized and secure. The built-in features allow us to save money on Microsoft licensing.

CONS

We have no issues with Orchestry. It is easy to install, configure, and use.

Making Microsoft Teams provisioning and lifecycle management easy

PROS

Orchestry integrates seamlessly with Microsoft Teams, making it super easy for our end-users to use the tool and to create new collaboration spaces based on our own templates. On top of that, Orchestry helps us manage the lifecycle of existing collaboration spaces, and help our end-users follow our governance policies like naming conventions and permissions.

CONS

No cons, really. The UI is slick and intuitive. Perhaps some tooltips when you hover over an icon would be great.

Orchestry for Governance and Compliance

This is a very easy product to get behind. For governance - easy. For compliance items like remote guest access - easy. Control the lifecycle of Teams, SharePoint and Groups - easy. Love this product!

PROS

The visibilty of user access, the existance of Team sites and SharePoint sites...basically the ability to organize and govern the mess!

CONS

Nothing comes to mind - I'm not sure if it was easy to install or not?

Application that made me feel like I hit the lottery.

Provisioning and lifecycle management has allowed me to keep my environment clean of unused sites and keep me on top of who has access as a guest user and if they are still active, etc. Support for Orchestry is top notch and extremely easy to work with and they love feedback on the application so that they can make it better.

PROS

Product is very simple and fast to implement, and you can begin to utilize immediately. The configuration was simple and flexible to my needs as well as my clients so not indepth training time is needed. Provisioning in general is amazing but the guest user access management is amazing and has already had a huge impact with clients.

CONS

If I had to pick one thing it would be the project web parts. I like them a lot but with some tweaking they could be amazing.

There is no other product in the market that handles provisioning, life cycle management and guest user management. These three key things in one package makes Orchestry stand out about the rest.

Reasons for switching to Orchestry Software

Custom built was simply provisioning sites based on a template chosen. There were no additional bells and whistles and when looking into growing the application there was no need as Orchestry had what I was looking for and the price to build vs buy made the decision even easier.

My product of choice for Teams management

PROS

The amount of features provided is just unbelievable, amazing tool to keep your Teams under control.

CONS

The discussion with clients regarding the level of Azure AD permissions required by the app. In big organisations, the approval of Azure AD application permissions is often managed by a different team other than the one using the product and sometimes it leads to long discussions until permissions are approved.

How Orchestry has helped our clients achieve collaboration success

I can't fault Orhcestry from a partner's point of view. It's easy to install for our clients, works flawlessly and the support and guidance materials are always up to date. [sensitive content hidden] and the team are super friendly and always willing to speak to our clients or support the partner community.

PROS

Orchestry is a game changer for any organisation that has Microsoft 365. It not only makes the provisioning of workspaces simple and easy to understand for your users it allows you to apply a whole range of governance that actually gets adopted! Not only that, it is probably one of the best-looking pieces of software out there. The UX\UI is expertly thought out meaning users need very little training on how to use it.

CONS

Customers always like to know what has been shared externally from within their team. A permissions matrix or similar would be fantastic to see in the tool.

Roadmap... Michal and the team are always developing new features and enhancements. We noticed their enthusiasm from day one and were won by the fact they had open ears to their community to continually shape the product. This is something rare with a Software vendor.

Excellent Product and Team

Overall, I have found working with Orchestry beneficial and I really do like the simplicity and benefits of the product.

PROS

Orchestry makes Team Provisioning and Templating simple. Microsoft does offer similar capability in Templating, but it's nowhere as rich in what Orchestry can do, with the ability to clone content, security and setup custom security rules, such as External Sharing. It also provides additional Archival capability for which Microsoft would charge significantly more, and in addition, provides additional capabilities that make Microsoft Teams easier to work with.However, I am all for software features and benefits, but I also more importantly find the team very receptive to product changes and issues. They have made at least two product changes we have asked about previously, to further improve the product. In some other organisations, this is impossible to do, unless you want to pay significantly more the feature or wait a year for it's eventual release.

CONS

I'd like to see additional in-built Templates available for different business scenarios, which could be easily utilised for some customers. Functional Templates would be great ,or even richer Intranet Templates, meaning end users can cut down on some of the SharePoint Page creation needed later.

How Orchestry has helped our business

It has been a great experience with Orchestry straight from the beginning, from understanding the product and tailoring around our environment to the ease of deploying and getting into production. I always say it is like putting together building blocks in an order that makes sense and easy to understand. This is one of the great strengths to Orchestry as it really is the easiest product I have experienced.It also gave the company confidence in rolling out guest access in terms of security, guest reviews and data governance.

PROS

I think Orchestry have covered most aspects of governing and managing MS Teams and SharePoint without compromising M365 normal capabilities. From an IT Management perspective Orchestry has made it much easier ti implement and manage the environment, and with the insights (Reporting) you can really see how the estate is shaping up.The other aspect that Orchestry has thought of is the user experience making it visually pleasing for all our users especially around provisioning and managing your workspaces.

CONS

I would like the guest access feature improved from a user perspective, as this can sometimes be a little challenging when adding and managing guests.

Orchestry is more than just a tool for Teams!

It's been amazing. The software just works and consulting support is very good.

PROS

I love the rich analytics which I can use to improve my users experience. I also love the way it makes creating a Teams site so easy. Management and security tools are also very impressive. It truly fills gaps within SharePoint and Teams but also analytics with how to maximize my Microsoft 365 overall investment.

CONS

No real cons. Unless you don't need the tool, then it might be too pricey if you just need one thing and that's it.

Fantastic tool that simplifies user, controls sprawl, and ensures consistency

PROS

Orchestry's ease of use for end users is off the charts, stepping them through the process of creating a team that ensures consistency and enforces policies. By extension, this guided workflow and approval process controls "Teams sprawl" and ensures naming policies are followed. In addition, the lifecycle management is a fantastic "set it and forget it" that takes the burdens off administrators from having to monitor every inch of Teams constantly. In larger environments, this is transformative.

CONS

There really aren't any cons that I can see. The company is constantly adding new features, so listing a con is often mute in a few months since the feature gets added. They really do listed to their users and partners for insight.

Excellent Product for Managing Microsoft Teams Environment

I must say that I am thoroughly impressed. This product offers a complete solution for managing Teams, from creating Teams with templates to archiving them. I particularly appreciate the ability to manage guest users effectively, which was a pain point for me previously. With this product, I can keep track of all the Teams in my organization and ensure that they are in compliance with our governance policies.The only downside is that the product can be overwhelming for first-time users. However, the support team is very responsive and helpful in addressing any issues that arise. Overall, I highly recommend the Orchestry for anyone looking to manage their Teams environment effectively.

The best Product for collaboration governance

PROS

Easy to set up, but also provides very granular options for more specific needs.Orchestry has taken the lessons learned over time and packaged then into a great looking product that makes life easier for the end user, and IT.They have really provided an end to end solution for the common needs for collaboration governance within Microsoft Teams. And the Compliance and security requirements of the business easily integrated with Orchestry as well.

CONS

It will be interesting to see how Orchestry invests in generative AI and LLL.

Easy to use with room to grow

It's been great. There are still a ton of features that we hope to implement, but even with just the base installation and a few simple customizations, it has been a big help.

PROS

It's extremely easy to setup and get going. There also a ton of features that you can gradually roll out as you get used to the tool and want to make your environment more robust. For example, there are webhooks you can setup so that as you generate new teams, you can build off that event and add more custom automation. Also, the feature where you put ownership of external users in the hands of the team's owners is great.

CONS

Currently the admins get a ton of notifications. I think it would make sense to have separate fields for administration and notifications. Also, it would be nice to specify who gets notified on certain events. So maybe the admins get notified on errors, but general notifications go to a separate email.

Orchestry is critical to a well-oiled and mature Microsoft 365 implementation

Overall the experience is great, the tool looks great and is easy to use. There is a lot of thought into how it works and the information and features are displayed. It is certainly one of the best applications I have used in the Microsoft 365 space in a while.

PROS

I love the fact that you can ensure that users rather than developers can design and establish how they want their workspaces to look and feel. This means that the control is delegated out and people within the business who use the tools everyday are empowered to make tweaks.I

CONS

It took me a while to find out how to add a guest user to a team when Guest Management was switched on.

Wonderful company, application, and team!

Phenomenal in all respects!

PROS

Orchestry is an all-around great company. Not only do they have a phenomenal application that fills so many voids in governance and adoption of MS Teams and SharePoint, they are wonderful to work with. They listen to the user, they are extremely responsive, transparent, innovative, and they have the best people working with them.

CONS

I'd like to be able to receive API responses from the Orchestry API calls, allowing us to use Power Automate to do even more with the provisioned workspace after Orchestry has completed its work.

Easy to use, during implementation and in contact

PROS

Orchestry is super easy to implement, with a few clicks it is live in your environment. If you run into something during the process, you can quickly and easily contact Orchestry or a partner. Contact is easy and fast. In addition, Orchestry is always releasing new features, which in my opinion sets them apart from the competition. The price/quality ratio is good.

CONS

There is still little about the product on the intranet. Other than the information portal, in which Orchestry offers manuals and instructions, little can be found on the public Internet. As a result, you have to figure some things out entirely on your own (of course, with the help of Orchestry staff where necessary)
