Emails can be linked which allows other so see information if needed. You can create letter templates which allows you to mass send engagement letters. Can also manage workflow using projects and tasks. Many great features of this software! #### Cons There are occasionally some glitches on the website, but the support staff is very quick to respond and fix issues. Much easier to use than Onvio. Support is awesome! They actually care that you get the most out of Firm360. #### Cons Not all projects show in the print driver. You have to go to the document once printed to Firm360 and assign the desired project. #### Reasons for choosing Firm360 Firm360 is a better fit for our firm and represents great value. #### Reasons for switching to Firm360 Onvio is complex and not very logical. Support was TERRIBLE. It seems that it was designed where support is a major profit center. Sometimes when we e-mail with questions, we hate that it has to be assigned a work ticket and then we get an e-mail back saying go to this link to get more information or try this when what we really want is for someone to pick the phone up and give us a call. We feel like there is not alot of customer service real time interaction. #### Ratings breakdown - Ease of use: 1/5 - Value for money: 1/5 - Customer support: 1/5 - Functionality: 1/5 #### Pros We like that we can see at a glance on our dashboard what work we have assigned to us as it comes in and the appropriate staff check in the projects. #### Cons The staff who have to scan the docs to Firm360 under the clients' accounts would like to have the option of using Folders on the Documents Tab to help organize the docs better...similar to what we had with another software company. I don't like that I can't run a better time entered report to calculate payroll hours to be paid. The staff doesn't like that when we print a tax return from one software program it doesn't talk to Firm360 to scan the TR doc directly to the clients' folders...that we have to save to desktop then scan to Firm360. #### Reasons for choosing Firm360 The sales staff made it sound like a breeze to use, and we are finding out this is not the case. #### Reasons for switching to Firm360 Trying to save money but have found out that it is not saving us any time...in fact, it has made our admin time increase due to the fact that we are not familiar with FIrm360's capabilities so we are stumbling along and trying to figure it out for ourselves. We also feel like our training time should have been re-visited after using the product for three to four months, especially since we bought the product close to a tax season. #### Vendor response Cindy - Wow! Having a better way to note projects in order of priority. It holds everything our Firm needs to function smoothly and keep client data in one application vs. 3-4 different ones. #### Cons I know it's important, but being automatically logged out after a certain time and re-signing in and waiting for the text code gets to be obnoxious throughout the day. #### Reasons for choosing Firm360 Cost and reviews left by other users. No incentive was offered Fantastic. I'm biased because I chose it, but we have been very happy overall. The UX is leaps and bounds above PracticeCS. We also previously used GoFileRoom, and the ability to search for docs by typing in a word actually works in Firm360, and we replaced NetClientCS. With Firm360, the documents are immediately and reliably delivered to a client when we want. Our tax return delivery process is also much more streamlined. #### Ratings breakdown - Ease of use: 5/5 - Value for money: 5/5 - Customer support: 5/5 - Functionality: 4/5 #### Pros The impetus for change was portal functionality. Clients have responded positively. We got document management in the bargain, much easier billing processes that result in getting paid sooner, better task management. Customer support is top notch! They care, are responsive and are continually improving their product based on feedback. The comparison leaves Thomson Reuters far behind in the dust. #### Cons The setup of a new system is never fun, but they did offer us a lot of support in getting everything up and running. The cost for set up I listed is what we paid a third party to get our old data moved into the new system. We don't have all of the reports we were used to and have missed some of those, but we can easily export to Excel and manipulate the data to our heart's content. That was inexplicably difficult in Practice CS because it required a lot of data cleanup first. Would also be nice to be able to add "upload only" access for some users who need to upload bookkeeping or payroll info to us, but be restricted from other access. #### Reasons for choosing Firm360 Billing features, support, and overall value for the amount paid. Allowed us to consolidate applications #### Reasons for switching to Firm360 Mostly because we could no longer tolerate our old system. Client portals in NetClientCS were unreliable and hard for clients to use. PracticeCS was robust in features, but hard to use and difficult to learn because TR likes to paywall all their training. Support was spotty and often had long wait times and they charged us. Firm360 doesn't send us bills for support. It's relatively easy to jump in and use it without having to have a background in programming. #### Cons I wish invoices could sync into QuickBooks desktop. I understand how the founder does his bookkeeping and sales tracking, but we enjoy having both recourses and do not typically put all our eggs in one basket... or data in this case. #### Reasons for choosing Firm360 I think that Canopy had a better portal system. We didn't have to have a social security number in there or put all "1s" so a client could access. The set up for clients was really easy and the payment system was also easy. Didn't' require a test deposit or anything like that. Simple click to pay. Also they have extended hours during tax season for customer service and tech support. And wow oh wow their customer support is super nice. Extremely patient, able to hear what we want in a system and be able to make it work with out trying to talk us out of what it is we want. Which is awesome. #### Reasons for switching to Firm360 They were extremely inconsistent, always having cloud issues and not having access to the site. The invoices weren't actually sending to our clients which we were unaware of. They offer sync agent into QuickBooks Desktop but that also didn't ever work fully. Their ACH payment system was always failing, and clients would constantly have to contact us to let us know. But more than anything, they would never ever respond. I would try and schedule follow up phone calls, or meetings or even just emails and they totally ghosted us. Overall, I am very happy in Firm360. I was able to ditch what I felt was antiquated software (Thomson CS) and streamline processes. It is rich with functionality and can handle a firm that doesn't do JUST tax returns. I think a lot of firm management software focuses too much on just the tax work. Firm360 is much more than that and continues to improve constantly. It has many features, and they are making consistent improvements every month. The clients like it and have had no trouble accessing the client portal and using the document upload. I also like that you can merge documents into one PDF. #### Cons I wish there were a mobile app for clients and my firm. Sometimes I'm on the go and would like to take a quick note on a client with my phone. I also wish that you could structure things by folder, and send automated tasks for clients.
