Emails can be linked which allows other so see information if needed. You can create letter templates which allows you to mass send engagement letters. Cons: There are occasionally some glitches on the website, but the support staff is very quick to respond and fix issues. We feel like there is not alot of customer service real time interaction. Cons: The staff who have to scan the docs to Firm360 under the clients' accounts would like to have the option of using Folders on the Documents Tab to help organize the docs better...similar to what we had with another software company. I don't like that I can't run a better time entered report to calculate payroll hours to be paid. The staff doesn't like that when we print a tax return from one software program it doesn't talk to Firm360 to scan the TR doc directly to the clients' folders...that we have to save to desktop then scan to Firm360. Reasons for choosing Firm360 The sales staff made it sound like a breeze to use, and we are finding out this is not the case. Reasons for switching to Firm360 Trying to save money but have found out that it is not saving us any time...in fact, it has made our admin time increase due to the fact that we are not familiar with FIrm360's capabilities so we are stumbling along and trying to figure it out for ourselves. We also feel like our training time should have been re-visited after using the product for three to four months, especially since we bought the product close to a tax season. I'm biased because I chose it, but we have been very happy overall. The UX is leaps and bounds above PracticeCS. We also previously used GoFileRoom, and the ability to search for docs by typing in a word actually works in Firm360, and we replaced NetClientCS. With Firm360, the documents are immediately and reliably delivered to a client when we want. Our tax return delivery process is also much more streamlined. We got document management in the bargain, much easier billing processes that result in getting paid sooner, better task management. Customer support is top notch! They care, are responsive and are continually improving their product based on feedback. The comparison leaves Thomson Reuters far behind in the dust. Cons: The setup of a new system is never fun, but they did offer us a lot of support in getting everything up and running. The cost for set up I listed is what we paid a third party to get our old data moved into the new system. We don't have all of the reports we were used to and have missed some of those, but we can easily export to Excel and manipulate the data to our heart's content. That was inexplicably difficult in Practice CS because it required a lot of data cleanup first. Would also be nice to be able to add "upload only" access for some users who need to upload bookkeeping or payroll info to us, but be restricted from other access. Reasons for choosing Firm360 Billing features, support, and overall value for the amount paid. Allowed us to consolidate applications Reasons for switching to Firm360 Mostly because we could no longer tolerate our old system. Client portals in NetClientCS were unreliable and hard for clients to use. PracticeCS was robust in features, but hard to use and difficult to learn because TR likes to paywall all their training. Support was spotty and often had long wait times and they charged us. Firm360 doesn't send us bills for support.
