Pros/Cons
  • Pros

  • Good for government and institutions including NPO as well as government contractors. Been around for decades and has a good useage base and good name with users.
  • MAconomy is a great project management software, it is easy to learn, it has great reporting capabilities.
  • Timesheet system has good features and is easy to use on the employee side. Some of the customer service reps were great and went above and beyond for help.
  • Cons

  • It is extremely cumbersome to use, slow and sluggish, when errors occur it is not clear what exactly the error could be, projects do not show up in the search etc.
  • I'm sure my company is paying some ridiculous licensing fee for it but EVERYONE complains about it. It is one of the worst timesheets software I have encountered.
  • There are many defects that are not corrected in new versions. It still looks boring and basic, very Windows 95.

  • Pros

  • I am extremely happy with Clearview Infocus. They have been amazing in their customer service department and help when I need it with trouble shooting.
  • It has all the blows a whistles SAP has to offer. For me, it was very important that InFocus had strong internal controls in order to preserve the integrity of the data.
  • It is easy to pull data out of InFocus in a myriad of formats and easy to customize reports. Clearview's client support is also great - easily accessible with a highly responsive support team.
  • Cons

  • Dealing with customer service and conversion teams. It was a terrible experience.
  • The only downside I have had is not being able to customize the software's reports at my level to the needs.
  • The one downside is that it does not have a payroll application. If you do in-house payroll, you will need a separate software to run along side InFocus.
