Inexperienced users without proper training can Quick(ly screw up your)Books

Our migration to QuickBooks was very smooth, mainly down to the simple layout within the software. Anyone can be easily trained to use it quickly.

The favorite part for us and our accounts tram, is the ease of the GUI and layout. It's incredibly simple to navigate the different areas of the software and quick to get to where you need to.

The website does offer support when you need it, but its not the most intuitive. When we have had problems or questions, the telephone support is fantastic.

Our overall experience has been excellent. There have been a couple of times we've had to engage QB support, and they've been wildly more helpful than we ever experienced with Sage!

We used Sage (Peachtree) for many years, and struggled to get even basic accounting reports out of the software. We made the decision to switch to Quickbooks Pro, and after a reasonable conversion process, found we were able to get *exactly* the reports we needed with relative ease. That was two years ago, and we've never looked back!

There are some curious elements to the way QB organizes and labels certain functions...but that's par for the software course.

We have been using Quickbooks for years. Apparently, their goal is to get you "hooked" on the software and go up on the prices every year. There are several add-ons that can be used, for a separate fee of course, such as Payroll. We do our own Payroll at my company so this makes things much easier. However, adding additional services can get quite expensive and they tend to change plans almost every year. They are now charging annually for software that we use to be able to purchase once and then use for 3 years. Those days are gone.

This is a great product for income as well as expense tracking. We enter every transaction that comes through our company and we can easily compare previous years earnings and losses, up to date

This product is way too expensive for a small business and unless you have been using the software for years, it is very difficult to understand and use. Customer support is lacking when it comes to unusual problems. It seems their customer support team can only "change batteries" so to speak.

Overall, it is a great program with powerful features for small businesses.

I really enjoy all the functionality in QuickBooks Desktop Pro, it has so many features and ability to customize my processes.

The downside to QuickBooks Desktop pro is having to pair it with another software, like QBox, to share a file in real-time across different locations.

Apart from the reports not being good looking , overall I really enjoy using QB and highly recommend. Price point is excellent for small businesses too!

I use QB daily it is by far my most preferred choice of accounting software for small businesses. I like it’s easy navigation, payroll and BAS returns are easy to produce and be able to dig down into the detail.

Reporting documents - I find QB produces clunky and low quality looking reports.

I'm very satisfied with the functionality of Quickbooks, but the administration of it is often confusing. I have to use different signon credentials for different features like admin, company use, payroll, online backup, etc. I've also gotten mixed messages from marketing personnel when trying to update or renew product subscriptions. I'm never actually sure if I have the best QB products for our firm.

I most like the ease of use. The multiple search features are helpful in creating and defining very specific criteria for reporting for budgeting, productivity analysis, etc. I also like that most reports have drill down functionality allowing me to access/create reports within reports.

It's expensive. I've also had some less than positive experiences with tech support.

Overall, Good to use for accounting purpose.

Very positive. I have considered moving to Sage but I get on so well with Quickbooks that I will continue to use Quickbooks.

I find Quickbooks easy to use and mainly taught myself how to use it, with a little help. I use many types of software for our school so having something that is intuitive and not complicated is important to me.

I currently use an older one-time software purchase of Quickbooks. To buy the latest software is quite expensive. Purchasing a monthly subscription is an option but given many software have gone in that direction, it can all add up in monthly or annual fees

The customer support is hard to reach -

I have used QuickBooks for two decades and for eight years in my current position. It fully meets our needs for day to day accounting, preparing reports for our Board and for processing payroll. However, their support is very poor and reaching a human being is incredibly frustrating.

QuickBooks Desktop is a powerful accounting package that offers good value for the cost. It has a lot of features that can address most of the needs of a small business.

QuickBooks will let an inexperienced user do just about anything they want which can result in a real mess if you're an accountant trying the prepare financial statements or tax returns. But with some training from an experienced accountant/user, a lot of the day to day accounting can be accomplished by a relatively inexperienced person. Some supervision is advised.

I enjoy using Quickbooks, but feel that the availability of a good alternative accounting program would make Intuit step up to the plate and improve their support after the sale. I feel that Quickbooks stands out as the leader and they really don't have any good competition.

The program is expensive and getting more expensive with every new release. Now Quickbooks has gone to being subscription based, so you will have to buy a new subscription every year. I used to just upgrade every 3 years or so. Support is outsourced to the Philippines making communication with the agent very annoying. Quickbooks acts like if you have to call support, it is because you are not smart enough to use the program. Support is expensive after a short introductory period.

Regardless overall, as a small business owner or not the utilization of using QuickBooks especially for a financial software is very easy to use. It has all the basics pretty much could anything I need on it. I haven't had an issue with QuickBooks I just recommend certain things like higher security as such.

The easy of use, not complicated at all to utilize. it's also good with third-party applications and integrations, makes it much more easier. Price wise it is affordable since I would say it's worth the money it's for. It also has a very large support Network. Personally best software to keep financial records, especially for small businesses

The security on it does lack, there isn't a two-step authentication. And there was a limitation to the number of products in the list especially for inventory purposes. There are also file size issues that need to be addressed, and personally I also believe there needs to be more utilization into e-commerce.

Of all the accounting programs I have used, I have found QuickBooks to be the most user friendly no matter what your level of eduction.

As an accountant I appreciate how customizable QuickBooks is. Sometimes you need to be able to make changes to entries that some programs would not allow you to (ie. customize sales tax amounts) but there is the option with this program. There is also a certain level of control that can be set to ensure accidental errors do not occur (ie. pop-ups) which comes in handy for those with less accounting knowledge.

Often you get out of it what you put into it. Since so many of the fields are optional (invoice #, memo, description, name, etc.) it is possible to make entries with so little data that it is difficult to determine what they were for when looking back to them. You really have to make sure if you have multiple users that everyone is recording entries with sufficient detail that it is clear what each entry is for.
