Right now I'm using online based and it's incredibly slow at times to get through what I need to do quickly due to the lag time of downloading each webpage. The memorized transactions for invoicing save us a lot of time. Payroll is quick and easy. I do my own forms (941, etc) but you can pay to have that done if you want. It syncs with our credit card so I do not have to enter transactions. Really good experience. I have been using QuickBooks since 1999 when I worked at an accounting firm. When we opened our own company in 2002, we went with QuickBooks to manage the books and run payroll. Cons: When a problem happens, it is very hard to get real support. I can solve most of the problems (thankfully) because working at an accounting firm and now in IT I have the experience. But if I have to call support, I have to be prepared to receive very little "real" help. I just hope to get lucky and fix it while they are helping. Back then inventory was the biggest differential with QuickBooks and Sage and we didn't need inventory.
