Great features and excellent performance

Mailchimp allows us to easily create and send targeted email campaigns to our subscribers, helping to increase engagement and build stronger relationships with our customers. It also provides tools for creating landing pages, signup forms, and lead magnets to help our businesses capture more leads and grow our email lists.

PROS

One of the significant pros of Mailchimp is its user-friendly interface which makes it easy for anyone to use, regardless of their technical expertise. The platform offers a variety of customizable templates, so you can create professional-looking emails that fit your brand’s aesthetic. Another pro is that Mailchimp offers a free plan, making it a cost-effective solution for small businesses and individuals just starting with email marketing.Another benefit of Mailchimp is its variety of integrations with other platforms. For example, you can integrate your Mailchimp account with your e-commerce platform, allowing you to easily segment your email list based on customer behavior and purchase history. You can also incorporate Mailchimp with other tools like Google Analytics, allowing you to track the performance of your email campaigns.

CONS

One of the most significant downsides is that the free plan is limited in terms of the number of subscribers you can have and the number of emails you can send per month. This can be a problem if you have a growing business and need to reach more customers. Additionally, while Mailchimp provides various features, it doesn’t offer as many advanced features as other email marketing platforms, making it less suitable for businesses that require more complex marketing automation capabilities. For example: 1. It would be great to see advanced personalization capabilities, such as dynamically inserting subscriber data, location, and behavior-based content into your emails. 2. Lead scoring features would allow us to assign scores to subscribers based on their behavior, such as open rate, click-through rate, and form submissions.

Streamlining Email Marketing with Mailchimp

Mailchimp is solving the problem of email marketing for businesses by providing a platform for them to easily create and manage email campaigns. With Mailchimp, businesses can create and send emails to their subscribers, manage their mailing lists, track their email performance, and automate their email marketing activities. Mailchimp provides an all-in-one solution for businesses to reach and engage with their audience, which is essential for building strong customer relationships and promoting their brand. The platform helps businesses to save time and effort by automating repetitive tasks, and it provides valuable insights into email marketing performance to help businesses make informed decisions and improve their campaigns over time.

PROS

One of the biggest pros of Mailchimp is its user-friendly interface and intuitive design. The platform is incredibly easy to navigate and use, even for those who are new to email marketing.Another key benefit of Mailchimp is its advanced automation capabilities. The platform allows you to create custom email campaigns based on subscriber behavior, so you can send relevant and targeted messages that are more likely to convert. This is a powerful tool for businesses and organizations looking to build better relationships with their customers and improve the effectiveness of their marketing efforts. In addition to its automation capabilities, Mailchimp also offers a wealth of analytics and reporting tools that can help you measure the success of your email campaigns. With real-time reporting and detailed insights, you can see exactly how your campaigns are performing and make data-driven decisions about future marketing efforts.Overall, Mailchimp is an excellent choice for businesses and organizations looking for a comprehensive and effective email marketing platform. With its user-friendly interface, powerful automation features, and insightful analytics, Mailchimp is well-equipped to help you streamline your email marketing efforts and achieve your marketing goals.

CONS

Mailchimp has some limitations that some users might consider as cons. One of the main complaints is the limited automation capabilities in the free plan. The free plan also has limited integrations with other platforms and a lower email sending limit. Some users also report that the interface can be cluttered and difficult to navigate, especially for more advanced users. Additionally, some users have reported issues with deliverability, with some emails going to spam folders. While Mailchimp is a popular and user-friendly option for many, these limitations might be a drawback for some users who require more advanced features and more control over their email marketing campaigns.

MailChimp; All-in-one-marketing automation software

MailChimp is a powerful and user-friendly email marketing platform that is suitable for businesses of all sizes and individuals. The platform's ease of use, wide range of templates, and automation features make it a popular choice for many users and it has helped my business in some positive ways.

PROS

1. User-Friendly Interface: MailChimp has a user-friendly interface that is easy to navigate, even for those without any prior experience in email marketing. The platform is well-designed and intuitive, making it simple to create and manage campaigns.2. Wide Range of Templates: MailChimp offers a large selection of email templates that can be easily customized to fit your brand's needs. The templates are organized into different categories, including newsletters, product promotions, and event invitations, so you can quickly find the right one for your campaign.3. Automation Features: MailChimp's automation features make it easy to automate repetitive tasks, such as sending welcome emails, abandoned cart reminders, and follow-up messages. This saves time and helps ensure that your campaigns are consistent and effective.4. Comprehensive Reporting: MailChimp provides detailed reports on your campaigns, including open rates, click-through rates, and subscriber engagement. This information can be used to optimize your campaigns and improve their effectiveness.5. Integration with Other Tools: MailChimp integrates with a wide range of other tools, including social media platforms, e-commerce platforms, and analytics tools. This makes it easy to integrate your email campaigns into your overall marketing strategy.

CONS

Limited Automation Options: While MailChimp's automation features are powerful, they may be limited for some users. For example, the platform does not support more complex automation workflows, such as triggering campaigns based on specific subscriber actions. And I also don't like that MailChimp doesn't support affiliate links, making it challenging to integrate these links into your website or landing pages.

Very User Friendly software

PROS

I like that Mailchimp allows you to easily create surveys and collect responses from customers. You can use the drag and drop survey builder to quickly create a survey that fits your needs. You can also customize your survey design and add images and videos. Mailchimp also offers advanced reporting and analysis tools that allow you to gain insights into customer preferences and behaviors. Additionally, you can use Mailchimp's survey distribution feature to quickly send surveys to your customers.

CONS

I found that Mailchimp was a bit limited in its survey capabilities. The survey options were basic and limited in terms of customization, and there was no way to add logic or conditionality. Additionally, there were limited question types offered, and no way to add images or videos.

Need easy to implement email software? Choose Mailchipm

There's a reason why MailChimp dominates. It's super easy to use. Analytics are easy to understand. Very readable (for a non-math person) and the "suggestions" (time, branding etc. are always welcome and perfectly on task)

PROS

I like the templates. they're not the most "creative" but it makes sending out an email so easy!!

CONS

I understand that the bigger the audience, the more it would cost, but once you're paying (2000+ audience) then there are more competitively priced products. Plus, the 2000+ audience numbers include unsubscribes, why? If someone unsubscribed, then why shouldn't my total number in my audience drop to only the ones that are actively receiving emails.

One of the Best in the business

PROS

I like how simple it is to complete tasks without needing any training. It is simple and easy to find everything. Once you get the hang of it, you can definitely dress things up a little more, but this is not a program that you need someone to teach you. The layout options are endless, and the final product always looks professional.

CONS

The editing options in Mailchimp is not up to the mark. Editing newsletters can be a little challenging for me.

Mailchimp is an excellent survey and campaign management tool

Mailchimp served our organization needs on several aspects. It was used to mail out surveys, launch campaigns and send out formatted emails as notifications at scheduled intervals.

PROS

Our org used MailChimp to capture employee surveys and derive statistics on how the different events held worked and the satisfaction rates. It was also used to launch different campaigns and products that the organization created. The software consolidated the responses in a legible format and plotted the results in a user friendly fashion.

CONS

The software is a bit expensive compared to other ones like slack and SurveyMonkey that offer similar features.

Mailchimp is the 'go to' platform

Overall, my experience with Mailchimp is great. Even though they change things periodically, they do have very extensive documentation that will 9 out of 10 times answer your questions by doing a small amount of research. There's lots of help guides out there as well and because Mailchimp's userbase is so large, it's not hard getting the info needed either directly from Mailchimp or supporting communities.

PROS

I've used Mailchimp for years and have found it's very easily integrated into most website platforms. Not only is it just a newsletter platform, it serves many different functions. It's effective at building mailing lists generated from your website's opt-in forms, gives plenty of options to customize your newsletter templates for both standard emails, ecommerce based emails, and dynamic emails. They have an array of tools that allows you to heavily customize anything you need.

CONS

The things I like least about Mailchimp are how frequently they change the backend usability. Over the past year I've noticed some menu areas have changed or been renamed and it causes confusion for not only myself but my clients as well.

Reason for choosing Mailchimp

I chose Mailchimp over alternative platforms because I had some clients who used to use those other platforms and they didn't hold up to the power Mailchimp provided even in their beginning phases. I've been with Mailchimp for quite a long time and know the ins and outs to almost every aspect of their platform. Because of this, I usually will educate my clients why going with Mailchimp is a better solution and have switched many over to utilize all that Mailchimp offers and so far, it's been working beyond expectations.

Worth it for any company starting out

I love the interface - once I got to know what was possible it became very easy to create what I wanted. I feel like it makes a big difference in how we're perceived by our community. I also personally like the irreverence - the graphics and cute sayings make marketing a little more fun.

PROS

I love that it's free for the first 2000 names - makes it easy to try the product over time. I switched from Constant Contact and was looking for something more affordable for our needs as a new, volunteer-based non-profit. I also love the ease of use. It's pretty simple to figure out and whatever questions I've had have been answered by the help documents.

CONS

I wish that Mailchimp more easily integrated with my ticketing software (OvationTix.) I tried to merge data but it's not intuitive so I have ended up not using that feature. I'm not sure if that's an issue on the side of Mailchimp or OvationTix, so it doesn't affect my overall enjoyment and opinion of the software. I also deal with a lot of email going into spam, even though I've followed all of the rules and avoid filter triggering phrases in my subject lines. I guess I wish there were more support in that area.

Reason for choosing Mailchimp

We decided to use Mailchimp primarily because of the price structure. We have less than 500 names and it seemed silly not to try Mailchimp.

Reasons for switching to Mailchimp

We didn't feel we were getting more value for the price point than we would get from Mailchimp.

Why I Don't Use Mailchimp

I have used MailChimp to set up a few campaigns for clients. I also started out on it because they used to offer 1,000 contacts for free. Integrating it with the different tools wasn't too tough. But it's not great at contact management and I don't recommend it if you're going to be doing any serious (or even quasi serious) email marketing.

PROS

MailChimp is pretty easy to use and integrates with most page builders and websites. So you can quickly have an email form set up and start driving traffic to get people on your email list. They also have good support in regards to getting back to you quickly.

CONS

MailChimp lacks features and power that make it competitive in the marketplace. I couldn't ever go back to it. The tool itself doesn't do everything I need it to. And as if that's not enough, I know of several people who have been shut down and had their accounts erroneously canceled by MailChimp for violating terms of service. So they were locked out of their account and had all of their email contacts erased without warning. And these were not "black hat" businesses. These were regular, small, mom and pop shops, including a florist.

Reason for choosing Mailchimp

I chose Mailchimp because they were offering the first 1,000 contacts for free in a promotion. And these other software (except for Constant Contact and AWeber) were really expensive. I didn't know what I was doing and what I was looking for with an email service provider. And I was just starting out and super broke at the time so "free" couldn't be beaten. However, the relationship didn't last long and I quickly moved on to AWeber. That didn't last long either, and I moved on to ActiveCampaign and haven't looked back since.

Free for the first 250,000 subscribers no cost - must have a mailing address

Positive experience sending emails and letters but you need to have a mailing address a real physical address a po box doesnt count. I guess hoping people do not come to your house is a big deal. I was very scared about having a real location and I was scared random people would show up as they did before at offices to stalk. I guess at this current timene place it's safer to use your real address but many years ago it was not or may not have been. It is important to make sure all your ducks are in a row- your corporation is current for example, the po box or the mailing address is current for example mine wasn't and I saw peoplel at the post office that i would rather not see.

PROS

Mailchimp is pretty easy to use and has increased its features in the last few yeqrs. The first 150,000 to 250,000 subscribers are free and then you pay after so it gives you time to build your fan base. When I used old emails I got reports for using old emails and it got disbanded so I recommend using current email subscribers so there are no surprises - or make sure they know they are signing up for your newsletter inbox. For example we threw an event and I emailed all subscribers but they did not know we were the organizer it was for working women so most unsubscribed. In hindsight I should have had people subscribe or put on a disclaimer that we would market.

CONS

The fact it's so easy to be taken down if you get one negative report. I guess we got a few negative reports and quickly a lot of unsubscribers the first day we emailed a few hundred people from a tales of extraordinary women event. The problem I gu ess you encounter is how to try and get these customers or clients or readers to read your services that I am still working on ideas for how to get people to sign up.

Reason for choosing Mailchimp

Cost that it was a free product even though the newslettter was not as striking.

Reasons for switching to Mailchimp

Emma created a beautiful design but charged money for each subscription so that is why we moved

It is a good service, but for users with experience in Email marketing

Well, Mailchimp is great for customers who cooperating with business a lot of time. Also service is great for a beautiful newsletters. But the cons looks depressive. And I realise that I will use Mailchimp, but not for a long time, because other services are got better solutions and more loyal rules in the part of emailing. Overall score is 7/10. But because of design and UI total score is 9/10

PROS

Absolutely great design and graphics of Web and app versions Great support Good delivery to recipients

CONS

Well, the most uncomfortable this is that the HTML editor available only in paid plans. It is not good, guys, really. Also it will be good if in Mailchimp will be the Email validation service in paid plans. Because I was banned for that thing, and the saddest part is that my customers are got their emails and Mailchimp customers service says that I shoul do a double opt-in procedure, even I've got the legal rights to mailing my customers (btw my audience is more than 10K of emails) And one more thing: I hope that doon will be available a World Map with the real-time open/click actions

Reason for choosing Mailchimp

Because of UI and paat experience

Reasons for switching to Mailchimp

Because I don't want to use both services at the time
