Setmore is a cloud-based appointment scheduling solution suitable for a variety of business sizes and industries. Key features include an online customer portal for appointment booking, customizable email notifications and staff scheduling.

Setmore allows users to book, manage, analyze and access appointments through an online booking calendar. Clients can use a free customer-facing booking page to see availability and set appointments. Email reminders that go out to clients and staff can be automatically sent out when needed and can also include a custom message. Setmore can be integrated with a variety of social networks, blogging platforms, payment services and more.

Setmore is available for free for teams of up to 20 staff members. Larger teams or users who want more advanced features can purchase a monthly subscription. Android and iOS mobile apps are also available.

    I have the software linked through our website so customers can schedule their own appointments to have someone come to their home and give an estimate for new flooring. It is so easy to use and works wonderfully with Outlook and Gmail calendar accounts.

    Cons

    I have not found anything about it yet that I do not like. Have been using it for about a year.

    Overall, Setmore would be my go-to platform when it comes to booking in person services. It's incredibly affordable and easy to use for anyone who is and is not a technical person. Their customer service was helpful when I had a question and my customers felt secure when putting their credit card on the site.

    Pros

    I was able to create my booking site in a few hours and it took a couple more hours to get it the way I wanted with all the graphics and details. I liked that it replaced having a website. I thought I needed to invest a lot of money in a website so that I could have a booking page but when I tried Setmore, it was much easier than creating a site myself or finding the right developer.

    Cons

    I had a specific use case for my business and there were certain features that I would have wanted, however, Setmore had the majority of the features I needed. What I noticed about other platforms is that they were inundated with features and for a new user, it takes a while to get familiar with the platform. I did many free trials of other platforms before I decided on Setmore.

    I think I've already covered this but the other nice thing is it works with my Facebook page too! Clients are still reluctant to book their own appointments, but that's ok since it gives me a chance to connect with them first.

    Pros

    Its free for the basics, which is perfect for my small business, but is also robust enough to expand for larger businesses with several employees.

    It's simple and integrated well with google calendar.

    My clients get reminders and so do I! I do only a few appointments a month, so it can be easy to forget I have one.

    Cons

    I haven't had any problems with it at all. I like the desktop and mobile apps. The widgets work well on my website. Makes me look professional.

    Frustrating, lack of confidence, irritating. Do recognize eventually when they are at fault and will financial compensate. When it works it's great BUT all to regularly it doesn't work and can impact the bottom line of your business. They are not financially compensating for that, just your subscription fee

    Pros

    They ha ve recredited my account for the failure of the service meeting the agreement I paid for. When you insist on being escalated. You will eventually get through to an English speak who can fully understand the nuisances of the language. There by getting "what is" and being able to provide customer service.

    Cons

    Setmore online calendar is slow, restricting and inflexible on phones. It is most flexible through the google calendar BUT that connection of syncing between Setmore and Google calendar continuously breaks down. I had to wait 2weeks to get the fix done. It has continuously failed over the past 11months of subscription, and adversely affected my business. The first tier of customer service support do not have English as their primary language, and a substantial amount of frustrating time can be spent speaking at cross purposes. Thereby failing to resolve anything. All customer support contact is through texting

    It integrated with Google calendar well. It was nice to be able to see my schedule at a glace on my calendar.

    Cons

    Unable to make recurring appointments saying there are conflicts with schedule on the days the appointments are not asked to be scheduled. Available appointment times didn't integrate with Reserve with Google showing some of my unavailable hours available and available hours unavailable. It was all messed up, and they were unable to resolve the issue after number of phone conversations over weeks. This is a huge problem for a business.

    This application makes it extremely easy to schedule appointments and keep a good history of past appointments. This platform is very simple and super easy to get used to. I also really enjoyed the SMS reminder feature as I tend to forget.

    Cons

    I find that this application does not always handle more difficult appointments. It is easy when it is a simple haircut or doctors appointment, but difficult to schedule more complex appointments.

    They provide a short link that you can distribute around to potential clients. The reservations forms can be customized and validation checks can be set to make sure your scheduling happens for the right person at the right time.

    Cons

    Further communication with clients is restricted to emails and external channels. There are no built-in CRM features, which would be very relevant for such a platform.

    Setmore scheduling and features were helpful for me as my business was growing and it was a great introduction to what a proper scheduler could be like, while I dealt with other things in my business. Setmore was able to take care of the scheduling aspect. I like that they had an embed button to enable scheduling

    Cons

    What I wish is that it the website had more of a tutorial in using it. Some features were not as apparent as I would have liked and it took a little more time to find the information. Otherwise, customer support was helpful

    This tool is simple, looks good and requires just no preparation to start using. It is a perfect choice for small businesses like hair salon or gym or consulting business. It helps you and your customers to manage available time slots via mobile app. There are many time/schedule settings, which make the experience even better

    It probably wouldn't work for businesses with 10+ people, since it is hard to have a few different schedules at the same time. Besides, there is really low confidentiality level there, so there are some questions associated with that

    Time margins are hard to change, only preset values which are 15 and 30 minutes there should be a manual option to choose other durations.

    Ease of organizing and reminding customers of appointment. Also loved the mobile app as well!

    Pros

    I love having a online appointment schedule that I can embed not only on my website but also on our companies Facebook page; allowing customers to book straight from there instead of having to go to our website first. I also love the use of the mobile app. It notifies me of any new appointments or changes and allows me to access customer details and notes on the go. It also sent appointment reminder to my customers which stopped a lot of "no-shows" Great design, both friendly for us to setup and for our customers to use.

    Cons

    It's a great app for someone with a hair salon or nail salon. We were trying to use it for a landscape installation service and each appointment has different time lengths versus a set time limit so we could only allot for one appointment a day online. If we could've been able to reserve dedicated days versus a customer reserving an 8am slot just to reserve a day then it would've been able to work more efficiently for us. Unfortunately a lot of our customers wouldn't read the details ordering where we told them they were only reserving days and we contact them with a time of appointment. Instead the expected their appointments at 8 am.

    Great app for a solo worker starting out plus its free and easy.

    i like the layout its clean and easy to work with
    i can use either the website or the app
    although the app needs a bit of work
    as soon as i download it my battery runs out.

    Although it is a great website to book appointments
    it has its fair share of glitches
    Sometimes i won't get client notification or
    if my clients book and i don't see the booking in my time zone
    but the customer service will work with you to fix the problem
    usually it takes a few days to fix the glitch

    The best thing about Setmore is that it is very simplified, to the point, and easy to use anywhere. I have ran into clients at the grocery store, park, etc. and instead of them having to call my office to set up an appointment, I can tell them right then what is available and schedule them. We first found the free version as we were transitioning from paper and pencil scheduling to electronic, and we have found that it is perfect for our needs. You can completely customize your schedule to include as many services as you would like for different lengths of time, prices, etc. You can also add employees and customize other features including colors for services (as they appear on your schedule), office hours, and scheduling intervals. You can add as much or as little contact information about your clients as you would like. Also, I have had to contact customer service 3 times during our use, and they have been GREAT every single time. They have resolved any issue that I have had within 24 hours and were very open with communication, keeping me informed with progress.

    Cons

    There are a few things that I wish Setmore was a bit better about... Setmore is not really "secure". A medical office, for instance, would probably not be able to use this option for scheduling. The only real "issue" that we've had with using the app (on iOS) is that it does crash upon opening quite frequently. It does open on the 2nd or 3rd try every time, and we have never contacted customer service about this issue because it really hasn't interfered with our productivity.

    I love how it's live scheduling and easy to use with many staff on my team. My team also loves how they can manage their sessions and how it automatically communicates with the clients.

    Cons

    I'm not sure if the upgraded version does it however it would be great if it had an invoicing / payment acceptance option where it emails a branded receipt to the clients post payment. It would also be nice if it synced with other apps / calendars / CRM platforms.
