This was my first experience constructing an online auction and this software. Setting the auction up was easy with the help of the Auction Wizard which guided me step by step.

It is easy to use and the customer service is top notch. This is the 4th year we have used Bidding Owl and have been more than pleased each time.

Easy to close out the items and locate shipping information for winning bidders. Connects with PayPal for easy and quick payment.

Also, the information on how to bid using increments was difficult for people.

The customer service was amazing - even on the weekends.

I haven't found anything that I would complain about.

At first i was afraid to click on some of the menu buttons for fear of what might happen.

Fabulous return for investment. Would recommend and use again.

I was disappointed that there is not an automated way within the software to create display bid description sheets automatically.

Bidding was easy, fun and the proxy bidding was fantastic.

It seems customers are unsure of the check out process some times and then also don't leave their correct mailing address.

Previously we were only able to reach people at in-person events and with the ease of use, registration process, and ease of sharing to the world, we have raised 20 times as much money.

Providing QR codes to each item is  a miss. We had to manually do this for our event, where other services provide it.

Overall it was a great resource for our stopgap online auction. It was quick and easy to set-up, and you can't beat the fees, especially for a small nonprofit and small auction.

Our overall experience with Bidding Owl was fantastic. The customer service they offer is truly top-notch.

Online auction is taking the place of our regular silent auction. It is a great substitute and we are happy to have it.

This is still a great platform for fundraising events and reaches  people beyond my hometown. Once the online auction starts, the event runs itself complete with checkout procedures.

We will definitely be using Bidding Owl again and recommending it to other non profits in similar situations like us. Now that we know how wonderful online auctions are we’ll never go back to paper.

This is clean and clear and attractive. Technology is not a strong suit for me, I have had to call the help desk 3 times in the last 18 months.

I would definitely recommend it to others looking for a easy to use system for setting up an auction.

I like the ease of usr and abilty to reuse information. Time is so important when you are a small operation.

Customer service was THE BEST!!!  No matter how many times I called with nit-picky questions, they were friendly and patient. They always had an answer when I screwed something up.

Watch out for other vendors- their performance and Gateway fees are extremely high. I love that I can select my own Gateway with the best rates.

A little restricted on the type of reporting/reports we could run. Had to run a couple different ones to get the info I needed.

You can change the colors but the layout options are limited.

Easy to import info from previous software. Intuitive and generally very user-friendly.

What I enjoyed most about this software was the ease of use and how much it helped us organize a school auction to raise money for our PTA. It was so simple to load data into, a real time saver.

The integration for the business side of the auction was fantastic.

The sponsorship set up was confusing at first. We solicit year-long sponsors, instead of event-specific sponsors.

In fact, we were so pleased that we are looking at how we might be able to use it for other events as well.

A thorough base of Email Templates,  cataloging ease and ticket sale ease. Common filters and customize buttons were helpful.

We got rapid support when we needed it. Including a few more calls to their founder who also helped us get connected with a payments gateway.

We needed something more modern and responsive. We were investigating more expensive, top-tier packages when another volunteer saw SchoolAuction.net in an ad.

My first year running an auction, I used software already purchased by the organization. It was cumbersome, difficult and not web based.

I called and had their founder on the phone in no time and he quickly put me at ease with their ability to meet our needs and support our events.

If you're doing this all manually, or if you're tired of worrying about the cost of different services or percentages--I highly recommend School Auction. I was so nervous auction night.
