Sortly was so easy to implement
Love Sortly. Use it every week sometimes every day, and it has been a great addition to our bag of tools at our company.
PROSThe staff position at our office that was responsible for this information has been replaced a handful of times while I have been in this office. The guy there when I was first hired bought a competitors software. I setup the local server for him, connected his iPad to it, and my phone. But before we could use it, I told him that he was going to have to configure it, and determine how he wanted to manage the inventory. It wasn't until 3 people later that Sortly was purchased and put to use the same day that we actually had an inventory up and running.
CONSI use a Samsung Galaxy Fold 3. Previously a Samsung Galaxy Note 9. The support team worked with me on the Note 9 due to a text size issue and the issue was mostly solved; however, I have yet to report that the problem is quite prominent in the Fold 3 and so they still have some work to do with their Text Flow/layout. At least on the Android side, but I don't know how much that would be their fault so much as it is the problem with Android allowing such a wide variety of configurations that every company wants to put their own spin on that I'm sure it can be a daunting task for them to address.

Good Solution for a Diverse Industry
Overall a positive experience and we continue to utilize new features weekly.
PROSThe ease of entering our products into Sortly was a big plus. We also link our vendors to the products so any users can quickly replace stock.
CONSWe would love the ability to change units on products already entered into the system. When changing how we record usage from feet to inches or feet to yards, would be a big benefit to flexibility to the user.

Absolutely no customer service

CONSHave had nothing but problems with this program. It is very simple programming errors that they seem not to care about or address at all. Every time we have had issues, we try to call, but there is no number they just make you email. However I receive a response saying they will get back to us and then never respond from there. We are basically just communicating with a computer system with no human interaction. Problems we have: (1) website doesn’t communicate with app and is severely delayed. (2) Items don’t update when you edit them. For instance, I change a quantity on an item, press save, and it doesn’t update. Have to do that about ten times or more for it to register. Causes major problems. (3) when you move like items back into a folder, they don’t merge. So if you have 2 of the same item, move one over to a stage, and then move it back, it duplicates the item instead of merging back with the original. OVERALL LOTS OF PROBLEM AND ABSOLUTELY NO HELP ON BEHALF OF SORTLY. IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A BASIC INVENTORY SYSTEM WITH LOTS OF GLITCHES, THIS IS FOR YOU!

A pretty good inventory management system
Sortly checks all the boxes for a good inventory management system. Its mobile app is great, the system allows you to assign and create barcodes to items. You can count stock easily.
CONSIt is what you’d expect and nothing more. There are no graphs or useful analytic tools. They charge an insane amount for what it is and it goes up even more for multiple users. The website is not intuitive at times (can’t open products in a new tab, pressing the back button causes a slow page reload, etc). Customer support isn’t that helpful or flexible, they’re quite greedy at times and have locked features behind paywalls. It’s just a database to count items yet they charge thousands a year. But I’m still paying it so it must be worth it to us! Saying all this, I haven’t found a better alternative so I’m going to keep using and recommending them. I just wish they’d create interesting features, nothing new gets added ever it seems.

Linnworks was incredibly expensive, not at all intuitive and way too much. We just needed a basic stock counting system.

Easy to use and great for searches
We have been very happy with Sortly compared to our old system. It has been very helpful in keeping track of our thousand of different items.
PROSSortly makes it easy to add Tags and other locators to easily find items within the system
CONSAdding permissions of new folders has to be done for each person individually.

Constant problems with losing iteming in the old system. You would enter the item on an Ipad and then it could not be found later on a desktop or the Ipad.

Happy to find
It's easy to use for my team. I'm not sure if they and I could use that easier complicated software. I like managing my team besides, I can see all the movements of my team easily and can check what they did.
CONSNow I have an issue about searching results. I have some items which have variants and when I search I see the variants instead of main item. I requested this to be fixed and sortly will take care of it hopefully.

Because of the price and easy use. While searching for software for our warehouses, I checked the trials of many of them but each has its statements and I had to learn what should be written where. Sortly can be used by anyone using a PC. You just create folders and put something in it.

Very user friendly and powerfull solution at an affordable price
I love this software, it is easy to install, use and maintain, have lots of features for a small business, and the price, compare to other software alike, it is very affordable.

Sortly Review in clinic setting
It has been great to keep track of our supplies over 3 clinic sites. We have one ordering manager, and they receive notifications when supplies are running low at one of our clinics.
CONSSet up is time-consuming when adding barcodes on all supplies. However, once it is set up, It is easy to add new items. But that is the case with any inventory system.
Reason for choosing Sortly
Price and very easy setup. Some of the other companies were way more complex than what was needed and therefore more expensive. We only use Sortly as a way to keep track of inventory. It does have some other features we use, such as cost of supplies and reports on spending.

A Great all round inventory management app.
How easy it was to set up and get going, being able to add photos and prices.
CONSit's an off the shelf product so wont hit all your buisness needs. quite basic but that is also what is so great about it.

Great app/software
This has changed my job as manager of Inventory for an office space! It is so much easier to get things sorted when they can be counted in a flash, instead of having to use an excel spreadsheet.
PROSI love that we can assign our own barcodes or Sortly will make them up for us. Also, that anyone can use it through their own phone, so it negated the need for several additional physical items to keep track of.
CONSIt was a bit expensive. Also, it took a learning curve to figure out that the imported items folder could be manipulated easiest. It would be nice if several functions could be saved in more detail with a pull down menu? For example, I use more shortcuts than the four allowed on the phone scanner.
Reasons for switching to Sortly
The ease of being able to use our phones as trackers (Sheetgo did not allow that integration as easily) and the ability to acess and update immediately in real time.

Overall it works for us with tracking and sharing our MAIN product, which is federally regulated so it's the most important. We continue to use it, so obviously we are accustomed to it and invested the time to input our data so we will continue to use it as long as it remains affordable to our budget.
PROSI love the ability to add tags to sort easily when looking up something for a customer request, the ability to track assets value, and creating as many folders and subfolders as needed. It's nice you can leave 0 quantity to restock without having to re-enter all the data for that item or recreate a barcode.
CONSI don't like that you have to pay additional fees/higher plan in order to create simple custom reports. It would be nice if there was a plan for smaller mom & pop businesses like ours to utilize the software and all it's greatness without breaking the bank. If I had to pick one suggestion, it would be to have the ability to show the out of pocket value AND the sell price value...rather than having to choose one.

We loved the promotional pricing, so that we could determine if it met our needs. As with anything it doesn't meet our every need, but we like it and have continued to renew our annual contract!!

Sortly for Hotel Inventory Management
We are not using all the features of Sortly by any means but has proven the perfect solution for what we need which is managing and controlling our inventory and ensuring we always have the stock we need on hand. I do think that the Advanced plan should have more than two users included.
PROSWe use Sortly to control our stock of amenities and supplies for rooms and it is a simple and straightforward tool for that purpose. It was easy to set up our inventory and the minimum level fields and tags make reordering straightforward and the price makes tracking the value of inventory very easy. Being able to upload a number of photos eliminates confusion over which item is which.
CONSOnly 2 users on the Advanced plan is not very generous compared to competitors. 5 would seem to be a fairer deal

Ease of use. Sortly could be easily configured for our simple needs even though it can do much more than we use it for. Other options where too expensive and too complex.

All great but we have a mobile issue
Great, this app is amazing, almost 4 years ago i did a big research and you guys were the best by far. Thank you once again.
PROSI´ve been using sortly for almost 4 years now, and it was a game changer to my company. I always give feedbacks because i know you guys always pay attention to them and through the years you have been always improving the app.
CONSWe struggle a bit with the mobile app and also I don´t know how to track sales. How to instead of moving to a folder that i call "sold items" i can actually press a button that says that it was sold? im asking this because i would love to have automatic reports instead of doing them by myself.

Sortly as an inventory system
Recently the response time on changes when using PC's has slowed down. It seems to be faster on a phone app. Easy to set up, easy to customize, access anywhere, all pluses. Better / easier reporting would be great.. Example, how many of an item have I added / removed in a given time period.
PROSEase of use (intuitive) is at the top of the list. Access from anywhere.
CONSFor an "Inventory Management" system, some reports are not created in the box that normally would go with this function.. We had the system for a year before there was a report that would indicate items that were actually BELOW indicated quantity level set. (previous reports showed AT or BELOW). The report still does not indicate the difference between minimum level to actual level. I add a column to the outputted excel report to indicate that difference. It is these types of items that are surprising to me that are not built in to an inventory system from the start.

Great Inventory Software
Sortly has helped my company save a lot of time when it comes to inventory management and being able to see with a few clicks what we do or don't have available.
PROSSortly has allowed us to know if we have enough inventory for upcoming events and can be updated if items are lost or damaged from previous events. It's also nice not having to physically count needed items before each event, and knowing even from off-site what we have available.
CONSOne feature that I wish could be implemented is the ability for one product to appear in multiple folders - if an item can be used for more than one purpose.

Great for small business
Sortly has allowed us to keep a close eye on our inventory even when it's spread out to different locations and remote workers who depend on having the correct count in order to sale.

Inventory management in one simple app that works for mobile devices
Uploading our inventory from excel to Sortly was easy. Sortly allowed us to set inventory limits for notifications as well as item expiration dates which is very helpful for our clinic.
PROSAs a clinic manager in a university setting, I looked around for a software program to meet our inventory management needs. I like that Sortly is an affordable program and it allowed us to easily integrate our inventory system from excel into the app. It simplified our inventory management and was efficient & time saving for our clinic faculty, staff & students to see what inventory was at hand. Sortly provides instant access to inventory quantity for the entire academic department. Sortly allows us to set expiration dates for our items and sends us alerts on expiring items so that our clinic can be OHSA compliant at all times.
CONSSortly does require a time investment to learn to navigate all its features and functions, but the Sortly support team is responsive.

Absolutely Adore
So far, I've really enjoyed sortly, its a good basic inventory management system at a reasonable price for a small buisness.
PROSI really love how easy it is to make sub folders in sortly. It's a pretty great platform for those looking for quick updates, and the app works great.
CONSI really wish I could integrate with shopify, it would make me want to upgrade to the enterprise level if I could more easily integrate with my POS.

Great product for the price
This is a very user friendly system; able to set up in minimal time. Customer support has been good to answer questions. We did not pay for the Enterprise edition so that is something we are looking into right now.
PROSSortly is easy to use and to set up. Good support that is always responsive to questions. inventory is easy to move around as needed. Import process is very easy to use as well.
CONSWe use thermostat serial numbers so it would be great if those could be put in some kind of alphabetical order when you are searching through a pick list. It does have limited number of items unless you pay for the Enterprise edition; that is fair but sometimes limited when you have alot of inventory over time.

My go to Inventory control app
I have been useing this program for 4 and a half years so far with 2 different companies. I liked it so well i left one job and started a new job for a diffrent company and brought the system with me and set it up for the new company.
PROSThe ease of Setup,Implementation,Customer service is fantastic and knowledgable. The reports you can run are a life saver as well in my line of work.....
CONSThere is nothing i can think of that i dont like about this company or the service they provide 10 out of 10 in my book.
