I would recommend this software to other architecture and interior design firms.

As an Architect + Planner + Interior Architect & Designer. Having the ‘Verticle Market’ solutions available like Vectorworks ‘Architect’ & ‘Designer’ is so very valuable.

When we factor in money, easy answer VectorWorks. We are a full BIM FIRM and VECTORWORKS does everything we need.

And the built in rendering tools are awesome as well, the result is more than enough to be used for project presentation.

We are finding now that some of our consultants are now using the software therefore the sharing of files is extremely easy. BUT the exporting of files to AutoCad are great too.

This is a pain as when it is needed across the office the dongle has to be physically passed over. We would prefer an online based license moving system.

Because of the limited use of this program in some markets, collaborating with others can be difficult.

It's safe to say VectorWorks is at the top of their game when it comes to architectural design.

And for BIM, it is hard to justify not using the industry standard software. So where is the edge for Vectorworks.

We take advantage of the software’s BIM capabilities to generate elevations, schedules, and smart tags. This program is visually appealing and easy to navigate.

BIM capabilities, ease of learning, ease of use, ease of rendering, Smart tools, exceptional customer service, stability and speed of work.

We use this software for early concept design as it simple and easy to use and produces beautiful concept plans and elevations.

We love this software for early concept design. The squiggly line affect means we can produce production quality drawings with ease that do not scare clients in the way a technical drawing would.

Has had issues with iOS updates in the past and time has been wasted waiting for patches. Very occasionally crashes for bizarre reasons.

The only downside of Vectorworks is that it won't work well when you need to collaborate with those who don't use it.

Easy to setup and create drawings. The tools are intuitive.

It is a bit complex to setup design layers, and also troublesome to sort the classes.

The cost of the program makes it difficult to acquire it.

Complicated and feature-rich, requires a level of training and skill to properly utilize it to its potential. Difficult transition from AutoCAD.

The ease of use, the customer support from the software company, and the ease of training.

Solid set of features for a variety of use cases. Fairly easy to use, and offers lots of automated features that help speed up drafting tasks.

Vector works allow for collaboration with other CAD software, like REVIT ARCHITECTURE, its a perfect BIM tool.

The transition has been a smooth and good experience so far.

Not everyone learns at the same rate and everyone hates change.

The applications are user friendly and the closing per month  is quick and efficient. If you encounter any difficulties the support is outstanding.

Looking forward to discovering more efficiencies we were unaware of previously.

We also use the software for AR, AP, inventory, and check reconciliation. Overall VMS is a good product, and has great customer service.

It is a fully integrated product from purchase orders to dispatch to all things financial. We don't have to go outside the VMS product for supporting software such as an accounting product.

It is great to visit with them every year and to know there is a friend on the other end of the support line when we need it.

Ability to transfer Estimate to Job Cost and Service. The ease of searching  is great.

All software has issues and the client portal allows us to log issues and check the progress. The staff is courteous, helpful, and knowledgeable.

Top marks for customer support. Having an integrated solution for all our business is very efficient.

My biggest issue though is how difficult it can be to get some new set up by programming. Anything custom is expensive and takes forever.

Having such a great customer service team when dealing with software changes and updates, even when trying to navigate areas in the program your company has yet utilized they have never let us down.

No or very little training on the software. No idea how to use most of it.

We always come back from the conference with new information and ideas for improving our workflow. Above everything else, we value the Vertical Market Support staff.

The support was, and continues to be great, and I have the highest degree of confidence when I do have to call that issues are taken care of quickly. These guys really deserve an award.

Vast number of reports, very diverse in what you can pull. Ability to save to queue to have a history of all transactions.

The support from VMS is great, they are always very helpful and responsive. The product is easy to use and navigate, and we are very happy.

It has great functionality, and it's user friendly.

I know we will see better tracking between warehouses once everyone gets it under control.

It is a very powerful accounting software. If used properly it can do a lot of amazing things.

The ease of usability, easy to find what i am looking for and track my work flow. The ability to change the sites that we take care of.
