Simply the best way to quote equipment.
Great program, essential to my line of work.
PROSThe ability to switch devices easily without losing any work. Consistency in formatting quotes within your company. The fact that most all manufacturers are in AQ. The AQ police was a very meaningful way to be helpful to eliminating errors found on listed items.
CONSIntegration with newer Apple processors. More consistent integration with email programs and platforms; and the ability to manage which program is used when you want to send your quote. The elimination of the AQ Police function; the money was not the most important reason that this was a helpful tool to make the database more accurate.

My thought on AQ
Scheduled price changes If w price changes in a month we need the option to choose whether to use the current future pricing for the quote.
PROSCustoms forms, project search is great. still haven't figured out the new project search so I use the original which is fine.
CONSNo Mac or browser based support. Outdated interface. Seems slow at times, especially when working late into the evening. Adding contacts is confusing nd what to do when a contact moves from one company to another. Search shows same person at 3 different companies. The should be a flag for current company to filter out the old company contacts which are still needed for history. The other thing is not naming the quote file the same as the quote name. It has changed several time over the past 3 years and frankly is dumb. Just name it the same as the quote. As an IT guy I know this can be done with the right programmer.. I have to renal all files since the name AQ puts on them is gibberish.

Really good but still has big holes
Anything with billing or trying your other products is a challenge because if you don't like the other products they still keep charging you. It keeps going back to billing.
PROSit is good for doing most spec books and can be shared with others
CONSPrice and support for Billing . Everything is through email and or someone doesn't answer. If they do answer vis email it is short and doesn't address your question.
Reasons for switching to AutoQuotes
Needed a larger equipment base to work with.

AQ Experience
I have been using AQ for over a decade and today's version is the best. We rarely have a problem with the program and when we do the HELP features seem to solve it. I also like the ability to customize the features to tailor to our business needs. he ability to get rid of features is nice too, it help greatly when we are training a new employee to use AQ. It is overall a great product.
PROSThis program is very easy for the end user. As well as for the administrator. AQ is a must for the foodservice industry. It is vital component for our business. We can create project estimates and even purchase with ease.
CONSI can not think of a feature in AQ that I would change. One thing you need to look into is when you lock the sell of a line item and then change the quantity the sell changes. I maybe doing something wrong but its worth looking into.

AutoQuotes is a Life Saver
I have been using AutoQuotes for over 20 years. I honestly could not do my job without this software. I use it everyday all day long. It is a life saver!
PROSBeing able to search for products using the search bar and then breaking down the product by brands, categories and specs is a great tool. It is much easier then looking through manufacture websites or catalogs. I love that any quote can be converted into an Excel spreadsheet. AutoQuotes has so much to offer it is hard to list everything that I like about it.
CONSI can honestly say there is not really anything I don't like about this software.

Auto Quotes
AutoQuotes is a key part of my job and couldn't imagine doing my job with out it. It is one of my main software programs I use everyday
PROSAutoQuotes is extremely easy to use and has hundreds of Foodservice equipment and supply manufactures. Up to date pricing and specifications makes it easy to produce customer quotes and feel confident that all the information is current.
CONSThe only con I can think of is how my company's item numbers integrate into the catalog. There is limited information for each item and must be edited by hand. Very time consuming having to edit each individual product

Fantastic product
1) Being able to give the customer true budget pricing is the best feature for me. I don't purchase or sell equipment; I specify it. 2) The spec book creation. Decades ago this was the most labor intensive endeavor. It's now a breeze.
CONSFrankly, I don't know all the features even though I've used it for years and years. It had been when looking at a product in a manufacturer's line, if you view it and it's not what you're looking for, the previous menu page doesn't go back to that spot alphabetically. You had to start again, but that's been fixed.

The good, the bad and the better
I've used it since it's inception. Having quoted the old fashion way I do not know how I could quote without it.
PROSIt makes quoting much easier and faster. Having features like the freight calculator are very handy. Especially in today's climate.
CONSI do not like the recent change to shade out obsolete items. They are too easily missed. They should be bold or highlighted in a different color. Factories need to put the pricing in for all of their options. The "call factory" is annoying - especially when the item is a standard option.

Has been excellent
PROSManufacturers update pricing as it changes. We can put our own discounts in as deviated pricing when it's different than the Mfr standard We can check on shipping status Lots of flexibility overall to make it suit our needs
CONSIt was easy to use once you get the hang of it, best ways to search for a product is sometimes tricky. Have to learn how the manufacturers describe their product compared to the foodservice people that often have different names for something

AQ is my go to software
I swear by the program and use it every day all day long.
PROSThe catalog of preexisting items is most useful. The fact that I can store discount structures for future use. Being able to put mark ups on the items is also a fantastic feature.
CONSI would like to be able to print reports of the quotes that I have created but I want to be able to change the time frame for each report that I want to print. At the moment the report that is generated spits out the entire year's worth of quotes.

Critical info needed to make good sound business decisions
I’ve used it for 35 yrs. Theirs nothing like it for use as a Dealer or Consultant. Great tool.
PROSIt’s flexible. Easy to maneuver thru. Helps with accuracy. Important. It’s always saved for future references.
CONSNot keeping Custom items available for repeated use. Instead of retyping it over and over. This Industry WILL ALWAYS HAVE CUSTOM ADDITIONS.

Like AQ Use it daily !
PROSAQ is very easy to use, I Like the qption of creating PO and Invoices to the quotes, Once I quote a Custer and set up account I lke the ability to be able to call this customers info up and requote other items.

With this product it is very user friendly and quoin is very easy.
Easy to work with the features and user friendly. Fast and convenient to transfer to your invoicing or POS . Highly recommend for any one in the food industry.
PROSgetting a quote out to a client is easy and quick.
CONSSome time searches not come up with the correct item unless you enter the exact name or the full description of the item.

what we needed
Been using Auto Quotes for year now and couldn't imagine not having this software
PROSAuto quotes eliminated having stacks upon stacks of catalogs and made quotes easier and saves me so much time.

At one time it was quick and easy then got layered and much more expensive, but ensconced into our everyday lives!

PROSI can not imagine operating in this business without using Autoquotes.
