Optimal platform for upscaling D2C brands!

Our first months with Centra as our e-com platform we have had a super positive experience. We can already se a better conversion rate and a significantly lower bounce rate in our checkout.

PROS

Super easy to work with, good possibilities to scale up and add new markets / currencies. One of the most important things for us when we was looking for a new e-com platform.

CONS

The design is a bit old-school. Think it should be even more easy to work in the software if the design was a bit more up to date!

Essential for fast growing international brands

Centra is a versatile, API first, headless platform that brings all the key functionalities and scalability to any DTC brand or any regular brand sites that want to go global.

PROS

If you’re a company that are aiming to go global or are already global Centra is a key part for localization and globalization. The way you can structure and administrate markets, payment methods, warehouses and so forth is something I haven’t seen any other platform being close to.

CONS

It’s been lacking some basic functionality and voucher/discount code management functionality and it been taking quite some time to get that deployed into the platform. However, this isn’t something that prevents anything, it’s more of a nice to have.

Reason for choosing Centra

With a solid client list as Centra have and the product in it self being as explained in the previous questions it was the obvious choice if you would like to go global.

Reasons for switching to Centra

Lack of localization support in Shopify. Magento wasn’t really an option to stay with.

Technically mature and leading the way

Overall really good. And I would like to highlight the superb technical support and guidance through Centra tech-team.

PROS

The fact that the solution is so open, technically, in regards of API's and ability to create custom-fields. This makes it great for us since we have an technical team in-house to handle this.

CONS

Image-upload, not good enough. And the overall backend UI, but here we know it is about to get an update within months.

Price, proven in the retail industry and synergies in the fact that we already had other solutions running on Centra.

Really very amazing so far!

The ability to streamline the whole workflow as a small brand from the product creation, to the B2B sales stage up until delivery and invoicing and syncing everything to Fortnox. It's our brain and heart and body.

CONS

Sometimes Centra has too much functionality for a small brand like us. Hopefully we grow into the platform in no time :)

Easy-to-use advanced backend system.

Pretty much everyone in the company is using centra on a daily basis whether it's warehouse, b2b, b2c, customer service, sales managers, logistics. It's truly a fantastic system. Centra has great customer service that are solution oriented to help us find ways to get the most out of Centra and implement new solutions.

PROS

For us it's important to keep everything in one system. Centra allows us to keep track of inventory, process orders, create shipments and manage returns and much more without leaving centra.com. The B2B and B2C works pretty much the same making it easy to work with both and for our partners to process the shipments. Easy to use, both for us and our partners.

CONS

It would be nice to be able to customize the system further to optimize the use for each companys profile.

International opportunities with new platform

Being able to focus on building our brand in a better and smarter way, working with campaigns and promos without disturbing the brand is definitely number one. The over all process (all external partners included) was surprisingly easy, we had quite good time management and from our perspective the deadline was pretty far away so we never experienced any stress which resulted in good quality deliveries in all end points. I hope that the best is yet to come, we feel confident in the partnership together with Centra and other partners.

PROS

Main reason we chose Centra is because of how it will improve our routines while working as well as the new opportunities we have to work towards new customers world wide. Big bonus was the dashboard and how the voucher/promos work.

CONS

At this point we're not missing anything from Centra. I think it's probably not about the product but our experience with working in the platform, at first it's a bit overwhelming but now we're starting to get used to it.

Knockout demo and all their references were really good. We also believed that the new set ut would give us more opportunities world wide.

Mostly because of the usability from an administrative perspective but also because we would be able to work in different ways regarding the customer journey.

We've had a great transition from Shopify to Centra with the help of the fantastic Centra team. We've been up and running for the past two months and I only have good things to say about the software.

ICIW Implementation

Very good, a necessary step forward for our brand to be able to adapt and stay up to date with trends. I also believe this new flexibility and time-to-market of design changes will help us communicate our brand more effectively on site.

PROS

The base features of the app - products, orders, vouchers make alot of sense and provide a lot of flexibility that we have lacked using our last platform.I really appreciate the GraphQL-APIs which allow us to inhouse more tasks and become more efficient without the need for consultancies to assist!Ease of plugin integration is also a very welcome change for us!Being able to separate B2B and B2C logic is something that helps us very much.

CONS

Some features:Gift CardsIt's hard for our ERP to distinguish between normal vouchers and a gift card - currently BrightCom, our ERP consultancy, have the same issue with all Centra customers.We are also unable to create Gift Cards through KCO, which was not communicated / raised in the discovery phase. This has forced us to create a sub-par solution to be able to sell Gift Cards.Feeds:This was probably the biggest hurdle for us - migrating from an existing feed structure to the Centra one proved to be almost impossible. The biggest issue is not being able to set the formatting and as we choose. I think the ability to use a delimiter between Product Number and Variant Number would help a lot.Another big hurdle, which I hope we will be able to solve using Depict, sorting by bestsellers and news.

Great platform to manage and increase sales, both B2B and B2C

Centra works as our hub for product catalog management, buying and B2B / B2C sales. It ties in seamlessly though API with our warehouse using ShipHero and our physical stores using Sitoo POS-system. All in all a great setup that keeps improving with monthly updates.

PROS

Easy to use platform with great front-end and a robust back-end with good API-setup for connecting to external platforms.

CONS

Dashboard hasn't been updated but is easily solved with good data export possibilities for external BI analysis.

Reason for choosing Centra

Centra was a perfect fit, cloud based system custom made for our retail business, with API connections to all relevant third party software we need to create, buy and sell our collections in the best and most efficient way.

Reasons for switching to Centra

Microsoft Navision was way too complex and expensive, and we needed expensive consultants to make it fit our needs. Centra is more of an out of the box solution for us, with just as good or better functionality but at a better price and personal support.

State of the art e-commerce platform for D2C brands

Centra is really state of the art, both in terms of product and company. Very thankful for starting to collaborate and working with them.

It's solely built for D2C brands, which means that it has a lot of functionality for selling through influencers, selling to a global audience and full control of the customer experience.

CONS

The admin interface need a UI refresh (the UX great though)

Centra review

My overall experience with Centra is great! We are still quite new users but can already see a lot of possibilities and great potential to grow with Centra moving forward. We have been adding new features, new shipping methods and product fields during this initial period and everything has been easy to implement. We have also recieved great support from Centra in all steps.

PROS

The centra software is easy to use and offer a lot of good features like bulk editing, product/order management, return management, creation of new markets etc. all in one place. The integration process was smooth and we are very happy with the outcome!

CONS

A great opportunity or add to the current centra software would be a "controller" function for stock. For example that products recieve a small red flag if stock is below 2 pcs in a size variant.

Our overall experience with Centra is great - we loved that we choosed Centra because of their soloution both for B2C nad B2B and also their super easy part to just add new markets!

Great Digital Showroom and B2B platform

Overall a really good experience ranging from the implementation project to ongoing support and further developments of the product. It is a true partnership with long-term shared visions.

PROS

It is very intuitive and easy to use! Both our internal sales team and customers have very quickly adopted the system and are consistently giving it top ratings in our surveys. We also have a great relationship with Centra's product development team cooperating on new features to be implemented as part of the roadmap - very powerful!

CONS

Most of the key features we were lacking have already been implemented or are part of Centra's roadmap. The backend UI need an update and that is something that will be released early 2022 which we are looking forward to.

Great headless ecom platform for brands

PROS

Centra is built from the ground up with focus on brands in the fashion and apparel business. Very good possibilities to build headless site with the tech stack you prefer. Handling both B2C and B2B in the same platform is very convenient. Good selection of integrations. Continuous development.

CONS

The admin interface needs an upgrade. Working with product images is a bit of a hassle.

Centra gives a good overview of sales, orders and products and is easy to navigate. A plus is alos that Centra wants to be on top of new features, so if we want to implement third party solutions to develop our e-commerce, we always get fast and good help from Centra.
