On the occasions when I've needed help, I've consistently found the email support to be prompt and effective. I'm very happy with the product and with CSR and his team!

I've used EDD for 5 or 6 years across multiple personal projects and have used it when building e-commerce websites for clients, too. I like the ease of setup and that there are numerous integrations available for payment gateways, affiliate programs, email marketing services, and more.

I don't really have any complaints. Getting started costs can be expensive but in the context of annual cost required to facilitate sales in my business, the cost is quickly recouped.

We were able to offer subscriptions and service purchases via both PayPal and Stripe with a minimal time and financial investment. EDD offers a whole host of extensions, which causes the plugin to be extensible by design. We have taken advantage of multiple extensions to avoid the cost of building these things ourselves. But also, we have been able to further leverage the extensibility of EDD and build our own customizations to refine the buying experience for our customers. It's been a huge part of our business for 5+ years and I couldn't imagine trying to achieve the same results without the assistance of EDD (and their support team along the way).

The two biggest reasons I chose EDD was the Stripe integration and the recurring/subscription integration. Having a pre-built solution for these two things is a huge win.

Admittedly, several of our products are services and not in the realm of typical for EDD. This has presented some challenges in integrating with our back-end systems. But that also points to one of the amazing things about EDD, it's extensibility.

Incredibly frustrating. I watched dozens of hours of outdated videos and spent money for pro versions of a theme and a page builder which only added to my confusion. While I am not a web designer, I do have many years experience in managing and adding features to two websites, one of which is a forum with over 50,000 members and the largest of its kind. In hindsight, I am not surprised that EDD's showcase of existing sites apparently doesn't show any sites that are individually owned and operated stock sites selling digital art as I am seeking to do.

Its promise of being capable of doing everything I want to do with a website. I sell digital art with a current portfolio of more than 5000 images. I also want to add a number of computer graphic services.

The fact that it's not a complete package. I still need a "theme" and a "page builder" which are new terms for me that I don't understand in trying to use them as well as what each does when and why some things do not work as expected.

Of the few times I have contacted support, our rep has gone above and beyond normal help. I had a conflict with one site, and he wrote a plugin to fix the incompatibility. Our rep rocks!

Ease of use. Easy to install. Easy to maintain.
